The concierge is an NPC on The Sims 2 DS. He is at the front desk of the Strangetown Hotel.

Purpose

The Concierge stands at the front desk next to a computer. The player can request to either:

• Chat with him. Doing this will give the player hints and tips about the game and where things can be located.

If a player requests to Chat with the Concierge whilst standing behind him and not opposite him as one would usually do, the Concierge will "hang" in mid-air until you leave the room, when he will reset position.

• Check registry. The player can check who is checked-in to the hotel and what each room costs.

Nevertheless, the Concierge will also ring the player for enquiries such as guests leaving, how much they paid, and so on. When a player using the game decides to time travel, the concierge becomes angry and yells at the player through the phone. At this point, there is an alien invasion.

The Concierge will phone the player upon load-up welcoming you back to the game and saying what the citizens have been doing recently, such as Jebediah S. Jerky complaining about the youth of today, or Horus Menhoset IX throwing a party, not inviting him and the Concierge having to stop the party.
