Safe to say Alexander's childhood was pretty much spent in boarding schools. After his mother Tracy divorced Abraham his father chose to send him to be raised in boarding schools since he was already very old at the time and the only other person in the house was Alucard. Even thou he seldom talk to his mother he did keep in contact with his father and never missed an opportunity to boast about his great accomplishments in school.
As time passed by he left behind his wish to become a doctor like his father and instead chose to become an Investigator in order to keep his town safe from the threats it was unaware of for the most part. Someone needed to keep the order and the murders in Moonlight Falls had been on the rise.
However his life took a turn for the worse a few weeks before his graduation from College when he received a call saying his father had just recently passed away. To make things worse as he came home he found himself face to face with his mother's corpse and a gleeful vampire. In an act of fury he locked for months Alucard in the house's basement to starve. And so began his resentment for vampires and his resolve to destroy the monsters that knew only the call of human blood... Studying to become an Investigator would prove to be very useful indeed.
After starting his career as an Investigator he quickly found that most of the cases in this town were actually connected to the supernatural. Most of the time however he found he could not put an end to the countless crimes he now had on a list due to his inability to capture and kill the perpetrator.
As time passed by his frustration gave way to the grudging acceptance that maybe, in order to kill a monster, another monster was needed. His father only used Alucard as an experiment subject in finding effective ways to cure illnesses or weaken vampires. However he believed he had a much better use for the vampire in question... However, Alucard was mostly bound by his own, rather strange, sense of honor and a few magic binds created by the contract he made but he needed to make sure that he could control the vampire entirely before attempting this. He couldn't be bothered thinking if he would rebel and try to break free of the contract seals.
After searching through his father's old manuscripts he found what he was looking for. The "Cromwell Art Restriction" seal would make sure no problems would arise when letting the beast walk around free to use his powers to eliminate predetermined targets. It also seemed to allow another form of personalized form of binding if desired. He decide he would use that to bind him to his family's blood. Not in the same way Abraham did thou. This time it meant the only type of blood the vampire would be able to consume would be his family's. Without it he would wither away and die. This would make sure he wouldn't pull any tricks on him or any of his descendants especially now that his life depended on it.
