Ariella Thea (Thay-er) (née Rosebud) is a Sim who was first introduced in The Sims: Unleashed and returned in The Sims 2, The Sims 3 store content, Lunar Lakes and The Sims 4. She is the daughter to Ainsley and Atina Rosebud. Ariella is married to Nicholas Thea and was previously married to his The Sims - The Sims 3 counterpart. She has one child with the original Nicholas, Aiden and another child with the parallel Nicholas, Alana. In The Sims: Unleashed, Ariella lives in Old Town along with her original husband and child, Aiden. In The Sims 2, Ariella unknowingly lives in Rosebud Village, alone. She was abducted by Aliens between the events of The Sims: Unleashed and The Sims 2 and ended up in Rosebud Village after the UFO crashed. In The Sims 3 she lives in Lunar Lakes, once again alone. In The Sims 4 she lives in Newcrest with her husband, Nicholas and her two children; Aiden and Alana.
In The Sims: Unleashed, Ariella lives in Old Town at 57 Ingleside Drive with her husband, Nicholas and son, Aiden. Coming from the Rosebud family, Ariella was looked high upon back in Rosebud Village. However, she wanted a normal life and moved to Old Town with her husband. Her parents gave her plenty of money to start a new life in Old Town and respected her decision to move.
Ariella is a kind Sim and tends to spend most of her time cooking or in the yard stargazing. She has a good relationship with her husband and son alike.
Life between The Sims and The Sims 2[]
One night, Ariella was in her yard stargazing as usual. Suddenly, a strange object caught her eye. Ariella rubbed her eyes in shock and looked back through the telescope, however nothing was there. All of a sudden she hears a noise behind her, she turns and sees a giant UFO floating before her, she screams but it's too late... A tractor beam shoots from the UFO and abducts Ariella, taking her up into space.
On board the UFO, Ariella has many tests done on her and her mind is wiped. All she can remember is her own name and the fact that she has been abducted.
Life leading up to The Sims 2[]
In The Sims 2, Ariella lives in Rosebud Village at Secret Lot 1, alone. After she was abducted by Aliens they planned on taking her to an unknown world, however their UFO crash landed in Rosebud Village. Ariella had no idea where she was, she had no idea that she was back in the town founded by her own parents. The UFO crash landed high up in the mountains, there was no way Ariella could escape back to civilisation. The Aliens who abducted her resided in a lot across the road from her so they could watch over her to make sure she doesn't escape, as well as observe her. They planned on fixing their spaceship and taking Ariella to their homeworld.
The only memories Ariella has is that of Alien abduction and meeting Aliens. Her family tree shows her husband, son and parents. However, none of them appear in her relationship panel. She doesn't know any Sims, only the two Aliens who abducted her. Despite being abducted by Aliens, her personality is exactly the same as it was in The Sims.
Ariella wants to escape from the Aliens and live a normal life, free from them. Although she has had her mind wiped she still feels as though she is missing something, her family.
