Biography
'Bry was never one to live 'on the edge'. She loves her life in a small town, though she can't wait to be rid of Flaxen County, her lifelong home and biggest nightmare since her intimate brush with death.'
Embry Alder is a nineteen-year-old young woman recovering from a near death experience during her senior year of high school. Her mother Mary Alder died when she was only a child, leaving her father, Henry Alder , to run their business and take care of Bry and her older sister Catharine Martinez . Bry is very close with her sister and father, along with her teenhood best friend Adrienne Levine .
The accident caused her and four other students to be burned severely, and they were all left with extreme scarring. Embry, her ex-boyfriend Royce Vale , and Adrienne were victims, and have become haunted by ancient ancestors who suffered early demises. After extensive treatments and surgeries, Bry has returned to high school in her hometown a year later in order get her diploma in June.
Bry has been afraid of being alone since her first night at back home. Spectral entities have been plagueing her, the fiery ghosts of her dead ancestors. They only appear if she is alone, and she has been terrified ever since.But she's not afriad of moving away after graduation. She'd planned for and Royce to move to the quiet shores of Riverview , after university, to escape the death of Fanon: Flaxen County , but Royce has recently ended the relationship, claiming he needed to move on from the town, the accident, and his highschool girlfriend he had planned to share his life with.
