Consort Capp
Biography
Consort Capp was once associates with Patrizio Monty. What led to the end of their relationship, and can it now be salvaged?
Consort Capp was a business tycoon living in Veronaville. He was married to Capp family matriarch Contessa, by whom he was the father of Cordelia, Goneril, Regan, and Kent and grandfather of Tybalt, Juliette, Hermia, Miranda, Hal, Desdemona, Ariel, and Tamora. He recently died of old age and was laid to rest in the Capp family cemetery.
In his youth, Consort was a friend of Patrizio Monty, whom he helped to get an internship at a company owned by Scribonia Capp, Contessa's mother. When Contessa started dating Patrizio, Consort was both jealous and convinced that they were a terrible match, and began investigating Patrizio's background. Contessa scoffed at his efforts until Consort turned up evidence that Patrizio's father, Valentine Monty, was a member of the mafia, and Patrizio was intended as his successor. Contessa immediately broke up with Patrizio. Thus began a rivalry that would last for the rest of all three of their lives.
Although the sting of Contessa leaving soon faded, Consort managed to get back on Patrizio's radar by starting a law firm with Contessa and their mutual friend Constance Ulett, which, among other things, began to proseucte crimes committed by members of the Montys' crime family. This kept the feud going until most people had no idea of the history between Consort and Patrizio.
Eventually, the family feud resulted in a death: after a lawyer from the Capp & Ulett Law Firm managed to pin several mob murders on one of Patrizio's best friends, Patrizio had his flunkies set fire to the home where Consort and Contessa's eldest daughter Cordelia lived with her husband Caliban and their three children. The children, who were at school at the time, survived, but Cordelia and Caliban were both killed. Contessa died shortly afterwards of complications due to old age. Consort took in Cordelia's son and two daughters and vowed that he would find something to pin on Patrizio himself and avenge his beloved daughter's death that way; however, Patrizio passed away before Consort could dig up a charge good enough to get him into court.
With both his beloved wife and his old nemesis dead, Consort spent his remaining years attempting to safeguard his and Contessa's legacy for future generations. He played a significant role in tutoring Juliette to be the next head of the Capp family, and oversaw the beginning of her career in his final days. He also introduced her to her husband, Paris, but passed away before their wedding.
Trivia[]
The first time I ever played The Sims 2, about ten years ago, I found Consort Capp to be one of the least sympathetic characters in the game. When I decided to write a fanon for Veronaville, I figured that I should turn that around and make him not only sympathetic, but likable. I hope it worked.
