Dawn Skye Salaman (née Straight) is a sim living in Starlight Shores with her husband Jacob and their children, Megan and Dean. She is the eldest daughter of Tristan and Starr Straight. She is the sister of Minty and Sebastian Straight.
Dawn is a level 2 nerd. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from Sims University.
Toddlerhood[]
When Dawn was about to turn 2, her grandmother, Kirsten, passed away. Her mother got a job in journalism, leaving her dad to be the stay-at-home parent.
Childhood[]
As a child, Dawn started piano lesson. The countless times she watched her father play inspired her. Her dad later found a job in the sciences, leaving Dawn a latchkey kid. Dawn began to neglect her schoolwork as her parents became preoccupied with their careers.
During her middle school years, her grandmother, Justine, passed away. What's more, Dawn soon found out she was getting a new sibling. This took all of her attention off school, and she started failing. However, she managed to get her grades back up to a passing level with help from the family's babysitter, who'd help her study. Dawn later got her new sibling, a sister named Minty.
Teen Years[]
Dawn entered high school and befriended her classmate, Miles Broke. The two loved spending time together, and before she knew it, she had her first crush. The two hung out at the local diner one day, where they both ended up sharing their first kiss. By coincidence, that was the same day as Minty's birthday.
A week later, Dawn later met and befriended Vanessa Brennan, the daughter of well-known local businessman Ted Brennan. The two bonded over their shared love of music, and would often jam together. Dawn and Miles also began officially dating. A few momths following the birth of her brother, Sebastian, Dawn was forced to break things off with Miles; Starr had gotten a job opportunity as a lead journalist in Starlight Shores. The family packed up and moved out of her childhood home.
Dawn later befriended Cyrus Fong, the first friend she'd managed to make since the family moved. There was obviously something between them, and Cyrus later asked her out. It wasn't long before they were boyfriend and girlfriend, constantly seen doting on each other.
Young Adulthood[]
College Years[]
Dawn and Cyrus attended Sims University, where Dawn enrolled as a fine arts major, and joined the sorority. But Dawn's heavy courseload led to the two enduring an ugly breakup. In the meantime she befriended two of her sorority sisters, Lauri and Paris. Dawn briefly dated Jacob Salaman but the two quickly called things off and remained friends.
Dawn finished her first term at Sims University with an A. Shortly before the end of the term her and Cyrus reconnected, which resulted in them getting back together. The two spent the summer together in bliss, although it became increasingly obvious her family wasn't too fond of her boyfriend. Dawn and Cyrus returned to Sims University when autumn rolled around, this time staying in a dorm with Cyrus's friends, Isaac Luck and Nancy Docket. Her and Cyrus soon split up again after arguments around Dawn's family and her now-busy schedule. Dawn and Nancy became close friends afterward.
In her final year of university, Dawn reconnected with and started dating her ex Jacob. She graduated with an A, now holding a degree in Fine Arts.
Post-College Years[]
Dawn and Nancy rented an apartment together after graduating. Jacob later moved in, just as Nancy moved out to go live with her boyfriend Isaac (who she had since gotten back together with). Dawn soon discovered she was pregnant. Her family wasn't exactly enthralled that Dawn got pregnant out of wedlock. And so, Dawn and Jacob were quickly married in a shotgun wedding. She later gave birth to their daughter Megan.
Dawn got pregnant a second time shortly after, giving birth to the couple's son, Dean.
