Jemma Eleanor Henderson was a resident of Alpine County who worked as a Scientist (lvl 3).
Jemma was born and raised in Sunset Valley, California to a pair of talented scientists whom Jemma immediately took after. From an early age she excelled academically even when her parents lost their jobs. However, when her mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, Jemma had to quit school to help pay for the medical bills. Unfortunately, her mother passed away just a few years afterwards, leaving Jemma and her father broke and alone.
Jemma attempted to enroll in Night School while continuing her low-paying job as a gardener, but eventually had to drop out when her job performance began to suffer. Her long-time boyfriend, Jake Gallows, broke up with her for her former best friend, and her father descended into alcoholism and vanished. Jemma began to suffer from depression, but did not have the money to go see a therapist. Just as all seemed lost, she met the love of her life-- Edwin Reyes.
Edwin was a soldier from Riverview, Pennsylvania who was stationed in Sunset Valley as part of his current service. Jemma and Edwin ran into each other in the local supermarket and traded numbers, and after a few dates began to fall in love. Edwin helped Jemma come to terms with her depression and be treated for it, while Jemma helped Edwin learn to be just as compassionate as she was. Eventually, they married, though neither took the others surname. The two conceived a daughter, Kelly, and then twin boys, Dennis and Clark.
Eventually, Edwin was ordered to Alpine County, Oregon, and so the budding Henderson-Reyes moved to 3001 Redwood McMansion, a large mansion where they felt they could adequately raise their teenage daughter and young sons. Jemma received a low-level job at the nearby science laboratory, where she was extremely happy. Edwin and Jemma remained close, and Jemma watched proudly as her children grew older. Jemma weeped for joy at her daughter's marriaged to Derik Henderson, and was just as distraught as her when he vanished mysteriously. Jemma retired shortly after Kelly's failed marriage, and died soon after.
Jemma was equal parts intelligent and compassionate, scrappy and smart. She took great pride in being independent and helping others, and loved coming up with creative solutions to technical problems. She was always there for her children.
