Lane was born in Sunset Valley near the same time his childhood best friend Arthur Hall. They met in middle school. In high school, Lane helped Arthur on how to throw fun parties and Arthur helped him study. Lane started to become in a band after high school. But he gave it up to join journalism. Right now he's a mail delivery man, despite not being very good. He has commitment issues when it comes to dating women. His real wish is to become a news anchor.

While Arthur and Chastity are relaxing at home, he gave them mail. Arthur and Lane had a casual discussion. After he left to the next one, Maverick and his friends came home.
