Matilda Romanova is a sim featured as a supporting character in A Sim's Tale: Book 3. She is aunt of Ariana Rykov and sister of the late Valentina Rykov. Matilda took care of Ariana after her sister's death and treat her just like her own daughter. She also desperately tried to resurrect Valentina for her niece's happiness.
Matilda was a top scientist in Riverblossom Hills. She had received many awards for her inventions. After learned about what happened to her sister, Valentina, Matilda decided to moved to Valentina's house to stay with her.
When Valentina went shopping in the town, she saw her husband kissing with another woman. Enraged, Valentina attempted to slap the woman, but Rykov pushed her to the middle of the street, causing Valentina getting hit by a truck. The horrified Rykov and his girlfriend escaped just before Matilda and the cops arrived.
Valentina was fell into coma for seven months until finally she passed away.
Ariana was three years old when Valentina’s passed. After this, Matilda decided to raise Ariana by herself to honor her sister. One year later, Matilda decided to moved to Sunset Valley with Ariana, they also brought Valentia's ashes with them.
During her time in Sunset Valley, Matilda had made several futuristic inventions, including a prototype of Plumbot.
Several years later, Matilda created a machine called Automagic Ghost-O-tron 1220-DR, a machine which she believed could brought the deaths back to life. Of course her real intention was to resurrect her sister, Valentina.
After five years research, Matilda eventually managed to complete her Automagic Ghost-O-tron 1220-DR and ready to demonstrated it to Nancy Landgraab. Unfortunately for Matilda, the demonstration ended into failure as the mouse's carcass they used was destroyed.
Realizing the error on her way, Matilda decided to move on and concentrated on her other projects.
Sometime later, Matilda learned that Ariana was slightly changed after she joined a band. Matilda was so happy seeing Ariana finally could socialize and had new friends.
