Biography[]
Teenage Years[]
During her teenage years, Natalya was a (mostly) carefree teen. Unlike her other two sisters, Larissa and Demaris, she never tried to skip school purposefully or stay out after curfew. Her grades stayed naturally at a 4.0 average. She was the perfect child.
She ended up becoming great friends with Brenden Jade, and even introduced him to his future wife, River McIrish.
Natalya easily got a part-time job at the bookstore as a Bookstore Clerk, and stayed working there for all seven years of her teenage life. It became well-known that she hung out there after school, which got her into a bit of trouble.
One day, VJ Alvi casually asked if he could study with her after school at the bookstore. Innocently, she accepted. He didn’t want to study at all. Soon, she was wrapped up in his embrace, kissing him passionately. She knew it wouldn’t work out, but at that moment, she didn’t care.
Obviously, it didn’t work out – they were polar opposites. A few weeks after breaking up with him, she had her huge birthday bash to celebrate her nineteenth birthday. Her and her sisters were finally young adults, free to go wherever they pleased.
Young Adulthood[]
When Brenden became engaged to River McIrish, the three sisters and Brenden ended up moving in with Fiona McIrish and Molly French to make the wedding proceedings easier.
After leaving Claire, John, Jennifer, and Alex behind, the three sisters started their new life with Fiona, Molly, Sandi, River, and Brenden.
A year later, Brenden took on the last name of McIrish, and they moved out, across town. There were tears and regrets, but everyone knew it was for the best (the household was getting crowded, anyways).
Natalya kept her part-time job as a Bookstore Clerk, but to ease the hole Brenden had left in her heart, she adopted a toddler, whom she named Kia Jade. Kia was the light in Natalya’s life.
Suddenly, everything started going wrong.
Fiona McIrish and Molly French died tragic deaths in each other’s arms, and the three Jade sisters were left taking care of a teenager and a toddler, alone, with barely any experience with children. Sandi certainly didn’t want “fake moms” and never really warmed up to the Jade sisters.
Sandi took on the part-time job of Bookstore Clerk after a few years, but quickly passed Natalya in the ranks. Natalya came home stressed every single day, trying to rise up in favor with her boss, but she had a toddler to take care of, and it wasn’t easy.
After reaching the third rank, some of Natalya’s stress eased away. She even helped to plan Demaris’s wedding to Arlo Bunch, her new fiancé. However, they eloped, and the preparations were for naught. Frustrated, Natalya tried to put on a happy face when they came back, Demaris pregnant with their first child.
The household was getting full, and the new addition, Nia Bunch, didn’t help. Kia wasn’t interested in her new cousin, no matter how hard Demaris and Natalya tried to help them become friends. As a result, Natalya and Demaris’s sisterly relationship began to break from their children’s animosity.
Sandi’s nineteenth birthday and Kia’s fifth birthday were both rushed, and both felt underwhelmed by the hurried proceedings. Kia began to go to her friend’s house every day, and Natalya began to feel like an awful parent. When Natalya finally met Kia’s little friend, she felt even worse. It was Alex Jade, Claire and John’s second child. He was only a baby when the three Jade sisters moved out. She hadn’t kept in any contact with them at all.
Finally, the City Hall called about graduation, apologizing for the long delay. Natalya received Highest Honor, voted Most Artistic, but deep down inside, she was angry with Sandi, who was Valedictorian. To make things worse, her own sister, Demaris, received Most Popular. Natalya found solace in the only person she hadn’t had any feud with: Larissa. They became better friends, and Natalya’s relationship with Demaris continued to fall.
Just when things were starting to get a little better in the Bunch-French-Jade household, the three Jade sisters learned that their foster father, John Jade, was dying, from Kia, who all-too-happily told them that Alex was moving in down the street. They were too late to go and see him – he died shortly afterwards.
To brighten the household a bit, a year later, Demaris had her second child: a boy named Parker. Also, Demaris’s first child, Nia, turned five. However, Natalya was wary of her – she was being influenced by her “favorite,” Sandi.
