Nicholas's parents are unknown to him, but there was a rumour going around in Pleasantview, saying that Brandi Broke (née Newbie) and Skip Broke were in fact his real parents. Actually, Nicholas's real parents were Vivian Cho and Timothy Riley of Belladonna Cove, and had given him up for adoption as he was unwanted, illegitimate and Timothy and Vivian were too poor to raise him. Vivian was very hurt during childbirth, and was unable to pay for an operation, so she had to live with the pain. Later on, at 39, Vivian got enough money to pay for an operation and planned and paid for one, but it was too late and she died shortly before her life-saving operation. Timothy then adopted a daughter who he named Vivian.
Toddler years[]
Nicholas developed a friendship with Rozy Goth, third child of Mortimer Goth and the first of Dina Caliente. She went to Nicholas's playgroup and the two became friends. The two were alike because they were both rather snobby.
Childhood[]
Nicholas and Rozy became closer, and became BFFs. They spent a lot of time together, and, as Mortimer was rich, their two families all went on holiday together, to Shang Simla. Rozy and her family then planned to move to Bridgeport for a decade for a business opportunity for Mortimer. Nicholas was devastated about his BFF leaving; she was the only person in town who was like him. Just before she left, Rozy kissed Nicholas, and afterward, the two became pen pals. Rozy plans to visit Nicholas soon.
Personality[]
Nicholas is snobbish and pretentious. He hates nicknames and slang, and is very fussy about grammar and spelling.
Trivia[]
Nicholas was a very early baby, born at 64 hours instead of the usual 72.
Nicholas has always wanted a mother, and upon Carol taking the kids in, Nicholas loved it as he had a mother figure.
