Owen Moore is one of the pre-created, yet unplayable, Sims featured in The Sims 2 as ancestors of playable, pre-created Sims. Although he is deceased when the game begins, he appears in the relationship tree of the playable Sim Kate Moore, who is his daughter. According to his daughter's memories, he was not present for her birth.
Very little is known about Owen as he is not mentioned in any of the games and it can be assumed he died before the events of The Sims: Bustin' Out.
One theory suggests Owen was accidentally deleted in the creating of the Moore family, hence why he appears as an adult in game. This would also explain Kate not having a memory of her father's death. He was 22 days away from becoming an elder. Alternatively, he may have died before Kate was born.
