Take a swim in another form of opportunity for your sims. Unless you're hydrophobic or the sim isn't in a shape, you can take the safely route by just having them play on a sand, build a castle, or just sunbathe (caution: put a sunscreen the prevent the chance for our sim to burst into flames).
