'Prologue: Background Story: How it all Began (2019): It was an uncommon and unknown disease that started this apocalypse. People believed it would occur back four years in 2015 in possibility to the Ebola outbreak, but ahead four years instead in 2019. The first victim, a young woman who was in her late twenties, ordered a meal at a fancy restaurant in southern Texas. It was contaminated with some type of rat poison used to keep out mice and other infectious creatures, but the woman got it instead. When she was treated at the hospital in Houston, Texas the medicines she was put on reacted with the poison and did the most unexpected: transform her into a flesh-eater. Not only did the toxins and chemicals "fry" the insides of her she also lost all memory of who she was, what her original diet was, and being able to tell what from what. For example: when she escaped the hospital after biting several doctors and other patients she thought she saw a snake on the ground. Mistakenly, she picked it up and bit into it, unable to know it was an electric cable. Half the power in the hospital went out, putting patients at risk. She was killed that very instant. Not only did infected ones get to ones that were asleep but also to doctors who were carrying needle viles to put people into deep sleep for their upcoming surgery. More than enough of them began to retreat from the hospital after overcoming it, running like idiots or walking slow as though as they had a cramp in their leg. They began to spread out through the city, biting innocent people and eating at them alive. The only weapons out there were Sheriffs and other Police officers. Luckily, they survived. And surprisingly, there's still more than enough people alive to keep the world a running factory.
Background story: The news: (Male Dorm Story):
It wasn't long before everyone in the boy's dorm of the community college started screaming and yelling. Leviathan woke up and started cussing quietly to himself as his roommate Sabastian was just returning from asking a counselor of what was going on. "What's going on?" Leviathan asked him as he got out of bed. "Zombies, Man. There's even explosions due to cars exploding, too." Sabastian answered, sounding pretty tired; he went to bed two hours after the bedtime drill went off due to studying. Leviathan sighed and put his shoes on, walking out the door. He met up with a couple counselors as they were chatting about the situation. "You and Sabastian check on the girls. Hurry." One said calmly. He nodded and went to his room, getting Sab's attention. "Yeah?" He asked, putting on his shoes; he went barefoot. "Hurry up and get them on. We have to check on the girls." He explained. His roommate slipped them on and joined him, walking to the hall and going downstairs. As they were arriving to the girl's dorm they ran into Chevy as she was standing there with her stuff. She's a well-built female with male strength with long dark hair, hazel eyes with Country traits. As for her name Chevy, "Chev" was also a nickname Leviathan called her at the start of her first year with him, but he no longer calls her it anymore. She appeared to be in a hurry. "We were told to check on you guys. Mr. Richardson said so." Leviathan said. His roommate nodded in agreement. "Where you going, Sunset?" Sabastian asked her. "Anywhere but here." She answered quickly; she was waiting on her roommate. "You can't leave." Leviathan said sourly. "You guys can come too if you want." She said, voice calmer. "Fine. I'll come then." Sab said, retreating back to his dorm. Leviathan looked at her, wondering what the heck her problem was. But she only looked at him with calm greens in her eyes and motioned for him to go. He sighed and followed his roommate. Back at his dorm Leviathan began to pack up as Sabastian is, hoping they won't miss their carpool while completely ignoring what the counselor's said. Eh, they can lie about it. Once packed five minutes later he and Sabastian left their dorm and handed in their room keys to the councelors as their hands were held out as though to get something. "MR. ARLINGTON! MR. KIFER! THAT AIN'T WHERE THIS-!" but they were already gone. They met up with Chevy and Allison as they were waiting. "Ready?" Chevy asked as they were going down the stairs. All three nodded. "Then let's go." She said rather quickly, they running down stairs.
Background Story: The News (Female Dorm Story):
She felt the shaking as though it were a hurricane; there were explosions in the distance. She ended up waking up as other students in the female dorm were making a ruckus as there was panic. She sat up and noticed her roommate Allison standing by the door, shaking from frieght. "What's going on?" Chevy asked her, rubbing her eyes as they were a tired green. "It's the apocalypse. The zombies!" She fretted, scared. "Here she goes again." She thought, getting up. She put her shoes on and went to find out more about the chaos. Her counselors were in the hallway, talking while keeping the other students under control. "Can you tell me what happened?" Chevy asked, tiredness in her voice. A counselor eyes her, pausing to glare at her. "There's zombies on the loose. We're coming up with a way to protect everybody." She answered, sounding like a snob. "I'm not staying then. I got my own vehicle." She said bravely, walking away. "Sunset, this is a critical situation. If you don't-" but Chevy was already in her room, packing. "Where you going?" Allison asked worriedly. "Anywhere but here." Chevy answered, taking her things off the walls. Allison sighed and went to the window, wondering what to do. She stood there until her roommate was done packing and left. Shen ran after her, losing her balance along the way. "Chevy, you can't leave." She said, getting up. She only stared as she turned around. "Your point is...?" "I'm coming with you." Allison said, getting up. Chevy sighed. "Hurry then. There's not much time." She said, going to the hallway. She then went downstairs as Allison retreated to pack. Then a couple boys she was friends with trudged up the stairs, in a hurry. "Mr. Richardson said we were to check on you guys." Leviathan said. Chevy nodded. "Where you going, Sunset?" Sabastian asked. "Anywhere but here." She answered, bored from waiting. "You can't leave." Leviathan denied sourly. "You guys can come, too, if you like." Chevy offered. Sabastian said, "Sure. I'll come then." and went back downstairs. Leviathan glared at Chevy. But she only stared at him, calm green eyes peering into arctic blue ones. "Fine." He sighed, retreating. She sighed in relief once Allison showed up. "We leaving?" She asked. Chevy shook her head. "Why?" Because we got a couple boys coming with us." She answered like a smart allic. "You know what they'll do to us?" Allison fretted. Chevy wanted to back-hand her. "It's only Sab and Leviathan. They won't do anything to us." She scowled, wishing she'd stop being such a crybaby. She then went down the stairs behind Chevy at a rather fast pace. Anyone coming up gave them odd looks. "You know you-" a girl got cut off. They ignored her as they went to wait by the boys' dorm. They showed up a few minutes later, ready to leave. "Ready?" Chevy asked. All three nodded. "Then let's go." She said rather quickly, they running downstairs.
There were bad odors the air as he followed his friend to her Tacoma. The wind was wild and the sky was gray; there had to be rain on its way. Leviathan accidentally stepped on Allison's shoe as he went for the truck. She growled at him several times. Chevy growled at her to quit being a jerk about it. After getting in the back with his roommate the girls up front got taken care of and Chevy started the truck, putting it in gear and leaving. The journey downhill felt like a suicidal drop as the powerful wind pushed them downhill. Leviathan experienced theme park rides as a kid but them were controlled. This ride wasn't; only by brakes to slow down. His friend did her best to slow down but the powerful wind was not only throwing them around but also carcasses of dead zombies. Allison had to help out, although she was a total blunt about it. She did a poor job doing her duty. Chevy eventually threw her off. Leviathan turned and asked Sabastian, "Where she taking us?" Sab said, "That all depends on the signs and detours." He slumps in his seat, catching his back pocket on a small tear on the interior. He cussed as he shifted his position. Then Chevy began to ask questions based on survival. Allison was a total blunt, but the boys weren't sure just yet. Sabastian said something about going to California and Leviathan decided he wanted to agree. Allison sneered and Chevy led the way. She ended up going to a turn-off and making a sharp U-turn on route 66, slamming Leviathan into Sabastian. Allison hung onto the handle. She then complained and threw a fit. Chevy began to chew her out as the boys in the back apologized to one another about the accident, but then realized there was a small pack of zombies not quite fifty feet away. "There's zombies not far ahead." He whispered once Chevy raised her voice. Sab looked at him, confused. He then pointed them out. "Where the guns when we needed them?" He asked Leviathan cautiously. He shrugged, glad Chevy was taking taking them to the market area of Clarion. They arrived within ten minutes due to no traffic; everyone else was either run down or taking shelter. Once she parked into the parking lot as dozens of cars from the area hung about the four teens got out and ran inside the store, getting chewed out by a lady who deserved to be yelled at first. Leviathan heard Sabastian scowl, but never before did he hear him scowl the way he just did; he appeared to sound like he had a migraine or something. When they arrived at the store's weapon center Leviathan smashed one of the rifle display cases and began to pass out rifles to the bested suited. Knowing Chevy was the current leader of the girls he passed her one of the strongest rifles: .44 magnum. He then handed her its box of ammunition from the display. He handed Sab a Krieg rifle and ammunition as a way of proving he wasn't bragging and because Sab's stronger; he's played football for years while Leviathan played basketball for years. He gave himself a twelve -gauge and Allison a twenty-two, but she threw a fit saying she was stronger than he thought. "Those other ones will dislocate your shoulder or something. Chevy's the leader: she needs the better one." He explained, sounding rather annoyed. "I'm not complaining, although this thing is somewhat heavy." Chevy said, swinging the rifle over her shoulder. Sab examined his, not thrilled; he doesn't want to appear like a jerk or anything. "Neither am I." He said, swinging the gun over his. "See?" "Whatever." Allison sneered, annoyed. "Hey, just because your parents passes away a few days ago that don't mean you should take it out us." Chevy hissed, following Sab to a lane. "Mine and my sister did too, but I'm handling it with my best." Leviathan agreed, following them. "And I haven't seen them since the funeral." She growled as there zombies being gunned down in the store. Leviathan heard some woman scream; was she bit?- shot? People who surrounded her were at her aid as they were figuring things out. But alas at the teens, Leviathan helped pick out camouflage backpacks for he and Sab as Chevy picked out hers and Allison's in women's pink. It at least would help in the field if they lose their vehicle due to loss of gas. "Sab,-" Leviathan began. He looked his way. "I'm going to stock up." He said, walking away. "You do that, Man." He agreed, filling his. Leviathan knew nurishment was going to be crucial so he grabbed what counted, including extra ammunition. Allison got what was opposite, but extra ammunition. Chevy and Sab stocked themselves up on beef jerky and extra ammunition, including first aid supplies and powder packets. Then all four of them grabbed duffel bags and began to put in snacks, drinks, and extra clothing by quickly checking their clothes-size. It appeared that every five seconds someone would snatch about two packs of toilet paper while the other four snatched two the biggest packs the store had: seventy-two pack. Two carried one while the other two carried the other. But once they arrived to the back doors of the store a person who was standing there let them out and the four teens took off running. Once arriving to the Tacoma Chevy unlocked it after setting down her side of the package. She then went to the tailgate and put it down, going to Sab and giving him a hand. It was then pushed in. Leviathan helped Allison push theirs in as she grouched about it. Leviathan was at his midpoint of back-handing her. Chevy got in the Tacoma to start it, hoping the old thing still runs. But the engine didn't turn over; it was dead. She cussed as Leviathan and Sabastian heard her, wondering what was wrong. "Is it out of gas?" Sab asked, walking up to it. She smelled gas. Getting out as Leviathan went to pop the hood Chevy got on the lot, checking underneath the old truck. She saw gas and oil both leaking from underneath. Cussing she said, "Uh, Guys. We don't have a vehicle." Sab cussed; he favored that truck. Leviathan put down the hood when he noticed the engine was fine. "Your brother warned you." Allison snapped. She cussed as she insulted the truck. "A zombie bit it, Al." Chevy snapped, sighing in frustration. She then looked up and gasped, collecting her things. "What is it?" Leviathan asked, going to the driver's side. "Get your things and come with me." She answered, not looking back. Sab heard and grabbed his things, along with Leviathan. Allison grabbed hers and was a total blunt about everything. The other arrived to the dangerous five year old Chevy Silverado in front of the old Tacoma. "Well, Chevy..." Leviathan began. She eyed him. "Say hello to Silverado." He teased, going to back of the Crew cab Silverado. Chevy opened the driver side door, surprised it's unlocked. "I think I see the owner." Sab suddenly said as he opened the rear driver side. Chevy looked ahead her, noticing a body so severe of being devoured nobody could tell if it was a male or female. There was too much blood covering the carcass, too. "The keys are even in the ignition." Chevy chuckled as Sab was wondering what else to do. He then looked over, believing her. He soon laughed, glad the original owner left behind the surprise. "Yeah but we need to get going." He said as Leviathan and Allison were hauling over the seventy-two packs. "Yeah." She agreed, going back to the Tacoma. She messed around for a couple minutes before returning to the Silverado with an old CB, GPS and Scanner. "And why'd you bring those?" Allison asked like a snob. "My father got new ones. He said for me to take care of these." She explained, setting them on the floor. She then got in as a car about one hundred feet away exploded. She quickly shut her door and got strapped in, hurrying to start the truck. People who were running by were spooked by the volume of the Chevy engine; it even spooked a few zombies chasing people. Chevy put the beast in gear and gunned it, slamming her passengers against their seats. Allison cussed and hissed as the boys in the back had trouble talking; that's how much power was contained in the engine. She was going fifty in just a small space. But once she was just out of the store's parking lot her old Tacoma exploded, causing another just feet away to do the same thing. Chevy's eyes began to water.
Leaving the State:
"Luckily we didn't stay there for long." Leviathan said quickly, soon facing forward; he happened to turn around and watch the vehicles explode. "I wonder if someone lit a match." Sab said worriedly as he dared not to turn around. "There was no fire there, but there might have been one near and it followed the oil and gas spills." Chevy suggested, turning south. She then hit the highway and kept a steady pace until she hit the Interstate, soon flying down the highway."What's the rush?" Sabastian asked quickly; he was crammed against his seat. Chevy slew down, not realizing she was flying. "I don't know. I thought something was chasing us." She said, taking a steady turn. She then took a turn, taking them west. The speed limit said fifty-five and she went faster by five; she soon was going fifty afterwards. It wasn't before long Leviathan and Sab began to talk amongst themselves about the journey when Allison began to hiss at them; monthly issue? She began to complain once she saw construction signs; there were vehicles being moved. Chevy slew down and they let her go slowly by as the Honda being moved was moved out of the way. She went twenty miles per hour until the area was passed. She then went back to fifty this time. By then after ten minutes rain began to fall, cleaning up a little bit. The wipers were turned on and the sky darkened. "How much gas does this thing have?" Sab asked once he and Leviathan were done with their conversation. "She's got a full tank. She's a new truck." Chevy answered, driving through a blood puddle. The blood sprayed everything it was surrounded by. It hit the windshield and chassis, but the rain and wipers removed it. "Gross." Leviathan cough-gagged. "Yeah, really." Sab agreed, sitting back. Chevy then sped up once she saw more zombies running through a green field. But then she slew down, grabbing her gun. Coming to a halt she cocked it and put down her window, confusing the others. "Oh." The boys said, getting theirs. They put their windows and grabbed their guns, cocking them and aiming, killing the zombies. Allison put her window down and grabbed hers, firing and missing once. She cursed and tried again, killing one this time. The rain came down harder as Leviathan got out of his seat belt, climbing onto the window pane of the truck, aiming high over the truck, killing the zombies he aimed at. Allison did the same, killing one at a time. Sab gunned down three zombies per second until his clip went empty. He cussed and pulled it out, whipping it at a zombie that was lying wounded on the grass. It got stuck in its eye socket. He then reloaded it and fired until the zombies in that section were gone. There was none coming from the other side, so the other two got back in the truck, putting down their guns with the safety on and getting strapped back in as the other two did. Putting the windows back up, Chevy got them out of there. By five in the evening when everyone was asleep except for Chevy she happened to stop at a turn-off and put in the directions leading to California; she was just miles away from Ohio. Allison woke up and asked what she was doing and Chevy said,: "You want to get lost?" Allison furrowed her eyebrows at her, beginning to growl. "You know what? Get in the back with Leviathan. I'm tired of your attitude." She hissed at her, waking the boys up. "Wait-what?" Leviathan asked. "Sab, trade places with Allison." Chevy said, a slight gentleness in her command. "Why?" "She won't stop-" Chevy cussed. "-me off." She finished. "I'm not going back there." Allison hissed, staying put. "Levy won't hurt you. He's not that jackass back at the college that tried to seduce you." Chevy hissed, not going anywhere. Allison glared, then grabbing her stuff, getting out. She and Sab then traded places, Sab seeming unsure. "What the beep is her problem?" He asked once the door was shut. "I don't know, Sab. She's just a grouch." Chevy sighed, putting the truck back into drive. Sab turned the radio on to the common Country station: Froggy 95. A news lady was begging people to stay indoors and to get to shelter like it was a tornado or something. "This truck is our shelter." Leviathan sneered, slumping in his seat. Allison gave him a disgusted look. "Quit it." he hissed at her as he tried to get comfortable. Allison hissed like a cat and turned away, looking out the window. Leviathan shook his head in disgust as he began to wonder of what he did wrong. Nothing. He didn't do anything wrong to her. She was just being a snob that deserves to be put out for the zombies. He closed his blue eyes and went to sleep, listening to the radio. Then Chevy began to talk to Sab. "So what do you think you got in bio?" "I 'dunno'. A 'B' I guess." He said, sounding tired. "I think I got a 'B' too, last year. But I will say: that test was hard." She said low as the other two in the back were asleep; Allison decided to call it an evening. The rain poured as Chevy slew down by ten as a car blew by, throwing a zombie's body in the middle of the road. Chevy panicked and accidentally sped up, trying to take the turn at sixty miles an hour. But she turned until the truck was on two wheels on the driver side. Leviathan crashed into Allison, causing her to yell at him and try to push him off. Sab got a hold of the wheel, hoping to help out. Chevy had a hard time balancing the truck as Ohio was just a mile away. Sab pulled hard to his right, throwing himself back. The truck hesitated, but then stayed on the left wheels. "Alright. Let's try this again." Sab hissed, grabbing the wheel as Chevy had both hands on it, stabling the truck. He pulled to his right again, this time the truck landed violently and unsteadily on all four wheels. Due to being a 4-wheel drive it was all over the road, causing the other two to crashing into each other. "SLOWLY press on the brake." Sab said quickly, holding the wheel as he helped steady it. Chevy followed his command and pressed slowly on the brake pedal, ease going through the truck. It was soon under control within a couple minutes. He let go of the wheel as she let both pedals untouched, calming down the truck. She then slowly turned the wheel, getting back in her lane. "Thank you, Sab." She said quietly, unable to look at him. "It's fine." He said quietly, taking his glasses off to clean them. Chevy eyed the road, hoping he's not scared. But he put his glasses on and noticed a car flying down the highway, coming from Ohio. The tires were all flat and it flipped onto its side, soon skidding while going down the highway. Chevy noticed it and swerved, dodging it by just inches. The truck went to rest in the grass as Sab put his fingers on his temples, wondering what the heck her problem was. He couldn't speak for several moments as the other two in the back were trying to get to sleep. Chevy looked at him, hoping he's alright. "You could have gotten us killed." He said with a shaking breath. "I understand how you feel." She said quietly, looking away from the handsome boy. He looked at her, jaw shaking. "It's alright then. I would have done the same, except more damage." He said quietly. Chevy sighed and put the truck back into gear, pulling ahead. She then got back onto the highway and reached Ohio less than five minutes later.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 1:
By seven at night Sab was driving as Char took his spot; she almost fell asleep at the wheel. As his eyelids began to drop he came upon an intersection twenty miles away from Dayton, Oh. He slew down as he saw the state's local law enforcement. There was close to twenty vehicles in the grass and highway; there were five Ford F150's, five Chevy Silverados, and five Dodge Rams. There were four Caprice police cars at the crossroad. Sab took his time going through that as an impatient car behind him blared its horn, ushering him to move it. But the Chevy ignored him and continuing at its own pace. As he was going the same pace throughout the massacre the Neon blew by him and blew out all of its tires, causing a scene and lighting parts of the night with sparks. "Stupid idiot." Sab thought, slowly speeding up. After a few more miles of that Sab saw a Trooper and slew down, hoping to not get a ticket and get arrested. But the Trooper blared his siren and turned on his lights, doing something Sab hoped would not happen. He pulled over and the Trooper got out, cautiously walking up to the truck. "I didn't doing anything wrong did I, Officer?" Sab asked nervously. "No, no. I'm just making sure you and your passengers are safe." He said, calming him down. Sab nodded. "Five miles ahead is a motel. Fifty for day staying. Free night stays." He explained. Sab nodded again. "Alright. You all stay safe." The Officer said, walking away. Sab pulled ahead as the Officer got back in his car, going back to his position. He then began to drift off, going into the other lane. He then swerved back into his, waking the other two up. "What's wrong, Chevy?" Leviathan asked, mistaking his friend for his other. "Drowsy." "She" answered, just going with it. "Sorry, Sab. I thought you were-" "It's fine. If you want to drive then go ahead." Sab said tiredly, pulling over. Leviathan said, "Alright." and the two swapped spots, Leviathan taking the wheel. He then continued the trip until Sab let him know about a motel just up the road. "Alright. Here we are." Leviathan said five miles later. The other three woke up and grabbed their stuff, getting out. Leviathan took the keys out and passed them to Chevy as she was to his left, Sab to her left. Allison was behind them. "Thanks, Levy." She said, calling him his childhood nickname. He nodded in the lights of the motel as they walked in. The concierge looked up at them from his desk as a woman was checking files. "Can I help you?" The man asked, getting a notepad. "Yeah. We're just hoping to spend the night." Leviathan answered, still pretty tired. He nodded and passed them two keys; girls in one room, the boys in the other across the hall. "Get your rest." He said politely. The teens nodded and thanked them. When Chevy and Allison arrived to theirs Chevy was already comfortable with the room, but her college roommate was a total snob about it. "I don't like it." She sassed, tossing her stuff down by the door. "Will you just STOP being such a grouch? You were fine when sitting with Leviathan. What the-" she cussed angrily. Allison scoffed and went for the bedroom, leaving her ticked off roommate in the main room. Chevy growled and got into her suitcase, pulling out her pillow and lightest blanket, calming herself down. She then lied down on the couch, closing her eyes as her roommate took the only bed. As she lied there the boys were making a racket in their room as rain decided to come back down. Moaning, she got up and left the room, going across the hall to pound on their door. It felt as though she were in the college, pounding on the other girls' door because they were loud and who knows what they were doing in there. But Leviathan came to the door and opened it, confused. "What's wrong?" He asked, confused. "Quiet down. Sheesh." She eased, being playful. "That wasn't us. That was coming next door." He explained. "What the-" he then said, walking away from and leaving the door open. She walked in uninvited anyway and went to investigate. "Who said you could come in?" Sab asked playfully as he was looking out the window. "Levy left the door open." She explained, going to the window. She then looked around, wondering what he was looking at. Then the noises happened again. "The-" Sab cusses and stared at the wall, somewhat grossed out. Leviathan tapped the wall, but the sounds never stopped. "I got this." Chevy said, walking up to the wall. She then pounded on it, the sounds instantly muting. "If they continue then pound on the wall. They'll stop eventually." She explained low. Leviathan nodded, thanking her. She then walked out, closing their door and going back to hers. "Maybe I should've asked to stay." She thought, listening to Allison snore like a boar. She sighed and walked back out, going across the hall. She then opened the door and asked if she could just stay in there. Sab looked at Leviathan and he looked at Sab, shrugging. "Yeah. She may-" Leviathan cussed. "you off again. So get your stuff and come in." He finished. Chevy nodded and did as told, closing Allison's door and going into the boy's room, setting her stuff by theirs. "We got two couches. You go ahead and take the bed." Leviathan offered. "No, this is your room. One of you take it." She denied politely. "No, we're being gentleman. You take it." Sab denied. "And besides we've slept on couches probably more than you have." Leviathan teased playfully. "Alright." Chevy said tiredly, going for the bedroom. She opened the door and just left it open, climbing into the bed. She then closed her eyes, acting like one of the boys as though one of them were in there; leaving the door wide open. The next morning when the rain came back down everyone woke up and began to get ready to leave. Of course Allison threw a fit because Chevy was with the boys in their room. But she excused herself to brush her hair in her and Allison's room. Leviathan and Sab accepted the gesture and went on with what they were doing. "Why were you in there?" Allison asked harshly as Chevy walked in. "You snore like a boar and ticked me off yesterday. AND besides you would yell at me anyway." Chevy answered, annoyed. She then went to the bathroom to fix her hair. "Yeah... you probably got lucky with them too I bet." Allison snapped, getting her brush. "No I did not. They stayed out there while they gave me the bedroom." Chevy hissed, putting her hair up. Allison put hers up and repacked, Chevy doing the same. She then met up with Sab to check on him as he was staring out the window in his room. Leviathan was in another room. "How you feeling?" She asked him, wrapping her arms around him as a friendly gesture. "Alright. I'm not bothered." He said with a small smile. He turned and faced her, his beautiful dark eyes dancing. The brown appeared close to a black in the dim morning. Chevy chuckled and gave him a shallow nuzzle, picking on him. Sab chuckled and then kissed her as Leviathan walked in, he stopping in his tracks. Chevy's blood went cold. Leviathan cleared his throat. "Oh, sorry." Sab said, pulling away. "Right." Leviathan said slowly. He then went to pack. Then Sab looked out the window, laughing all of a sudden. "What?" Chevy asked. "Oh, I'm just watching the dumb zombies eating out of a dumpster out there." He chuckled. He then snapped out of an actual joke. He cussed. "- there are zombies!" He fretted. Chevy looked out the window and cussed. Leviathan heard and went to make sure he had everything packed up. "What's wrong?" Allison asked, not like a snob this time. "There's flesh-asses out there." Sab sighed, Chevy letting him go. They then went for their stuff. Once they had everything they left the motel rooms and turned in their room keys, soon leaving. The rain was cold as there were walkers nearby. A couple appeared to become perverted with a few cars and light poles. The teens got back in the truck as Sab took the driver's side, starting the Chevy. He then backed out and put it in Neutral, going to the exit. Chevy turned on the GPS built into the truck as Sab puled ahead. He soon plowed into a zombie, it exploding partially. "WHOA!" He gasped, the truck going right over it. There appeared to be a speed bump in the middle of the road; the zombie was a fat one. "What?" Leviathan asked, confused. "You hit a bump or something?" Allison hissed. "No. Hit a zombie." Sab said, wondering where it came from. Then Leviathan saw one coming to his left. "What?" He sneered at it, baring his cat teeth in which he received from a Halloween party from four days ago. "What?" Allison pestered, suddenly playful. "There's a flesh-ass coming my way." He answered. The zombie then ignored them and marched out into traffic, getting nailed by a by-passing pick-up truck as big as Sab's Chevy. Blood sprayed the truck as rain came down, washing it off. "SORRY!" hollered the person driving by. "Yeah." Sab said slowly, soon going toward the west. The rain poured as the miles leading to Dayton were getting distinguished mile by mile. One mile. Two miles. Three miles. They came and went until they were welcomed into Dayton, Ohio by a welcoming sign. The city was still really nice; not much buildings burned down nor anything bad. Some cars that crashed into each other were moved carefully out of that way as not to disturb the pavement. Bins surrounding any wreckage contained car parts as a way of respecting survivors to pass safely. Sab eventually came to another intersection with the same amount of vehicles in every direction. Except the Swat team was standing silently in rows of dozens, unable to tell how many there are. A woman came up to the truck and began to talk with Sab, wondering where he was going. "California." He answered, trying not to be nervous. She was busy writing down information as some of the Swat team was talking amongst themselves. Then one happened to look up and yell, "ZOMBIES!" Then the team grabbed their assault rifles and began to shoot at the zombies. Some jumped as though they were leaping lords. Blood sprayed down heavily as it sprayed buildings and other vehicles and people. Sab's Chevy was sprayed heavily as some of the Swat team was, too. "Ahh!" Sab and Chevy moaned as blood continued to pour down. "What?-uh gross." Leviathan groaned. Allison watched it all, trying not to hurl. The four teens could smell it all. And man did it smell! Once the last of the blood came down a Police woman came over as rain continued to come down. "Over there is a car wash. Go get this sucker cleaned off." She said. Sab nodded and used his wipers, although they weren't working right due to zombie guts on the windshield. "Ah, the wipers aren't working." He hissed, managing to see. He pulled into the wash and another cop put on the cycles, getting ready. The truck pulled in and began to get a clean-up. And right there: Allison began to talk with Leviathan for once. "We might as well talk. You never know what will happen." Leviathan agreed gently; he was still loving, although he was serious. She sighed and knew he was right; it was now or never. OR by the end of the trip. Chevy and Sab decided to stay out of it. Allison peered deep and longingly into Leviathan's eyes, watching the different shades of blue swarm into warm shades. Pacific Ocean warm. She took his hand into hers, feeling the sweaty warmth. He looked down and watched, blood flow warming. He then began to talk to her again, letting her know she can trust him. The blues in his eyes placed a spell on her: a spell she cannot escape from. Damn herself for being a jerk to him. "So you aren't the college pervert?" "No. That was some Brent kid. He tried to get you drunk and "woo-hoo" with you. But I nearly knocked him out for it. Eh, he was drunk, too." He explained, his hands in hers. She nodded, noticing the truth. She couldn't disagree with his beautiful eyes, especially when he was warm. But when he's angry his eyes freeze you in a split second; she's learned that the easy way, believe it or not. But when Leviathan looked away due to something Chevy and Sab said Allison pinched his hand, getting his attention again. "Ow." He said gently. She smiled for a brief second before they eyed each other again, getting him to concentrate. He then began to concentrate, trying to read her thoughts through a pair of soft, Asian-like brown eyes. Then the truck began to pull ahead as it was washed off. The burgundy shown proudly as the Chevy symbol on the front bumper exposed the beauty of the beast. Sab honked the horn as he drove off, continuing to go west. Allison and Leviathan fell asleep in the back, hands in hands. Sab looked down as Chevy's hand as she was looking out the window as the radio was on, quiet Country music summoning her mind. Sab then looked back up at the road, letting go of the wheel. He then memorized the position of her hand, soon holding it. He felt it heat up as Chevy smiled warmly; he truly is her Boyfriend, not just her friend from the past. She then heard him ask himself, "Why'd I leave her?" She didn't want to interrupt his train in thoughts, so she just sat there, listening to the radio. A sad song came on next. Sab then let her hand go and used both to turn the wheel, taking a turn. He then took it again, hearing her chuckle. A warm smile spread on his lips. By night-time Allison was the one driving; she decided she wanted to take Sab's place, especially since he almost put the truck in the ditch. She looked around, yawning at the same time. She then eyes the road, wondering the next pit stop. She came up to a gas station with its lights off, but gas overhead lamps on. She pulled in at a pump and let her passengers know they're at a gas station. Leviathan woke up and got out, offering to get gas as she and the other two used the restroom. As he was getting gas he was doing a little dance as he waited. "The truck about has nothing when we arrive. Huh." He muttered, getting gas. Chevy was out by the time he was done. He finished when Sab came out, the two holding hands and quietly talking. Leviathan quickly returned the pump and jogged to the men's room. "I wonder where our next pit stop is." Sab said quietly to Chevy as they were arriving to the Chevy. "I don't know." She said low, resting her head on his shoulder, feeling a muscular man in them. They then got in the back of the truck, Chevy getting in his arms. She then helped adjust his seat belt as they went to share it. "You like it when I hold you?" He asked, holding her tightly. She kissed his neck and said, "I feel safe when I'm with you. School wasn't the same when you left." She whispered as the other two were showing up. "I know. And I'm sorry." He whispered, sounding upset. As Leviathan and Allison were showing up they were speaking privately. "You'll need someone to keep you safe if something happens to you." Leviathan said gently. "I know." She agreed, wondering how Chevy acts as brave as she is. "But since Sab has Chevy and she has him... why not I have you?" He asked, his voice truthful. She nodded in agreement, knowing what she did to him yesterday made her an untrustworthy pest. She took his hand and leaned her head against his arm, inhaling his leftover cologne. She then let off, getting in the truck. He got in and started it, putting on their seat belts and he pulling out, hoping no one's around. He then went to the end and turned left, going west. As he was driving his eyelids began to drop; he was getting tired. He looked around rapidly and yawned, staying awake. He drove until he found a turn-off. He pulled onto it and realized it led to a path in the woods. "Okay then." He thought, going that way. He drove until he came to a bright area lit by vehicle headlights, candles, lighters, and lanterns and flashlights. Some people were smoking at the same time. A fat man welcomed them as he got to the driver's side. Leviathan pulled over, putting his window down. "Welcome to our turn'off in the woods. Park it and make yourself at home." He said with an unmanly high-pitched voice. Leviathan nodded and found a spot putting the exhausted truck in park. Leviathan honked the horn, waking his friends up. Allison woke up and looked around her, wondering where the heck they are. She watched Leviathan reached behind him and pull his suitcase from the back. She grabbed hers as it was at her feet. They then began to get out as Chevy and Sab were just waking up. "Where are we?" Sab asked quickly. "You're in the woods." Said a fat man loud as he was drinking whiskey. He nodded as his girlfriend got off him, then adjusting the seat and giving him a hand. They then grabbed their stuff and got out, getting blinded by a headlight. A fat woman laughed as Chevy dropped her suitcase on Sab's foot. She cussed and yelled at her. Sab stood there, showing no pain. Then a man said something to Leviathan, but he said, "No the truck belongs to my friend." He said, pointing at Chevy. "Better take care of it." He said with a high-pitched voice, lighting a cigar. She stood with her head held high, not afraid of the man. "Brave, aren't ya?" Asked a woman low with a high-pitched voice as she lit a cigarette. "Oh, yes." Chevy answered, wrapping her arm around Sab as he stood there, glaring at all the smoke; he and his girlfriend are both allergic to it. But he was a distance so he's safe. "Come, get your things out. This is our resting place for the night." Said a man, not paying attention as he was lighting a cigar. "They do." hissed another with a rather womanly voice. "Honey, how dare you smoke that piece of-" the smoking man's wife cussed. "That thing will attract zombies faster than flies flying to a light." His wife finished while hissing with a high-pitched voice. He shrugs and blows smoke in another man's face. The man getting it gagged and belched; he was drunk. There was a few fat women laughing as they were smoking. One lit a cigarette as she was leaning against a pale yellow Chevy Trailblazer. A man took a sip of whiskey as he leaned against a midnight blue Chevy Blazer. Another was smoking a cigar as he was leaning against an Olive GMC Jimmy. "There's a lot of vehicles here." Sab muttered to Chevy. She nodded in agreement. Then a man admitted to being five Chevy's, five, five Dodges, five Fords, and three Jimmies. He of course belched after each word. "Quiet, you horse." A woman manly hissed, drinking from a Vodka bottle. One of the men offered Chevy a bottle of whiskey, but she denied it several times. "Hey, no peer pressure." Allison said, drinking some herself. What the heck is she doing? She's only eighteen, going on nineteen in just two days. But Leviathan was pressured and he was too tired to notice the drink he was given. Chevy continued to deny until the man gave up. Sab then told her to get in the truck with him. She obeyed and grabbed their things, getting in the truck. Once inside she pulled out her blanket from college, Sab helping to cover them up. "It's crazy here." He whispered as she lied in his arms again. "Yeah, really." She agreed, watching the other two have fun times with the adults.
Quick Accident (The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 2
He had to go to the bathroom by three in the morning. The others finally went to sleep by one. Sab shook his Love, letting her know he had to do something. "No." She teased quietly. "No, I have to do something." He explained, kissing her off. She opened her eyes and let him up and grabbing his gun, watching as he went to do his thing. After he closed the door he was about fifteen feet in the woods as he could still hear people making noises. "What are they doing? Whoo-hooing or what?" he wondered, taking care of his business. As he was he could hear shuffling in the leaves, still thinking a couple people are whoo-hooing. Once he finished and fixed his picture he stood still quietly, just listening. The sounds got stronger and he turned around, noticing it was a zombie. Instead of it biting him it lashed out, sending him into a tree with several marks on his left shoulder. As he sat up he grasped his shoulder as the zombie marched up to him, appearing drunk. Sab began to catch his breath as he managed to power through the pain by getting his gun. He had shaking aim as he inhaled, soon firing at the creature as it marched up to him. The loud shots woke up the others, including the drunk teenagers. They began to scatter as Sab got up and ran as the zombie screeched, alerting other ones with its stress call. Sab ran for the Chevy as Chevy waited inside. She watched with terrified dark eyes as the zombie was twenty feet behind its attacker. But since it was dark out Sab made it safely and the zombie smacked into the door, falling on the ground. Allison and Leviathan quickly packed and Allison went for the Chevy, but Chevy herself locked the doors. She cussed and curses at her, running for Leviathan. The owner of a black Dodge Ram the same year as the Chevy Silverado dropped his keys as he and his wife ran for a friend's vehicle since they lost sight of theirs. Leviathan picked them up and used the alarm, finding it. There was a lot of noises and commotion as vehicles were started, people getting eaten at, people screaming and yelling, and gunfire. Allison found Leviathan in the pick-up and she ran for it as a zombie was on her tail. She made it just in time as Leviathan killed the intruding zombie. Once inside the truck, they were long gone along with the others.
The Misnomer Boyfriend (The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 3: Chevy and Sab)
He couldn't sleep right the rest of the night. His shoulder hurt and his head was throbbing. His Love did her best to help him sleep but his moaning and groaning due to the pain helping matter. Another thing: when he got attacked his shoulder began to bleed through the tear of his shirt, soon getting infected. When he woke up around seven in the morning the pain was gone; was he in waking up in Heaven? He wasn't sure but Chevy felt for a fact that her back was killing her. She wrapped her arms tightly around Sabastian, pulling him into a protective hug. She brushed her lips through his hair, inhaling the scent of the woods on him. She then gently dug her finger tips into his back, hearing groaning sounds come from him. She then played her fingers up the back of his shirt, feeling greasy pearls. Was he sweating from her body heat and blanket? Or is he... he? She couldn't think of anything else; she was lost in the pleasure. But when he woke up in her arms she woke up as he was over top of her, appearing hungry like a grizzly bear. But this was no grizzly bear... it was Sabastian Kifer in the form of a ZOMBIE! In the BODY of a ZOMBIE! "Sab?" Chevy asked nervously. He growled and opened his mouth, revealing his pointed teeth. "Oh-" she cussed. He went to bite her, but she placed her hands on his shoulders and pushed him back, using her strength. That's when Sabastian started to screech and hiss for help, anger in his evil dark eyes. "What happened to you?" Chevy thought, holding him back. Is he dead? Is he sick? What happened to her boyfriend? His skin wasn't its usual fair peach color; it's now a rather bright rusty color. Burgundy. Of course in his position he was heavy, but holding him back was no problem. With one hand she punched him where she promised she'd never hit him: the groin area. He collapsed, breathless. She quickly got out from under him and pinned him to the seat. She then began to look for something to tie him down. Spotting something blond in color she knelt and grabbed it, realizing it was a rope. She smelled remains of hay of as she began to wind it around his torso, tying the lost boy. He screached as he tried to bite her, but he was only biting air, nothing else. Wild child. She then got him situated where she could turn him so he was sitting in the seat properly. He glared and snapped, snarling at the same time like an untamed Pit bull. She placed both hands on his shoulders and pressed hard, causing his breathing to spasm. Not too much, but just enough to calm him down. She then let up the pressure once he calmed down. "What happened to you?" She asked barely above a whisper. But he only screached once, telling her to get off or something. "TELL ME-" she cussed, slapping him. His head went that direction as he growled several phrases under his breath; She pissed him off. Sitting back slightly, she covered her face and began to cry, feeling ashamed at the same time. She then uncovered her face, staring at him. She doesn't want to kill him; she's waited merely seven years to see his face again. There was a difference in his eyes compared to other zombies: he wanted help. But first came feeding. But what's his new diet other than live/dead human carcasses? Animals? Beef jerky? He's got plenty of that. But here wasn't the safest place; there could be zombies not far from their current location. Sighing again, Chevy leaned forward and rubbed her right thumb down his left cheek, he just watching. His eyes were curious as his mouth remained closed. His eyes were soft as he appeared to be reading her eyes, noticing there was no harm in them. Then Chevy realized as she was rubbing his cheek his skin was warm; he's still human? But how?- was her concern. Sab's mouth opened once as to say something, but maybe he was yawning at the same time then. He closed it and stared at his Love, most likely wondering if he's seen her before. But why would he think that?- he kissed her yesterday, but he was a human. Not a partial human. Chevy knew she had to get them out of there. So she got off of him and put the seat belt on him, brushing her lips upon his forehead, then climbing into the driver's seat. She started the truck and put hers on, soon getting out of there.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 4: Leviathan and Allison
His eyes burned due to lack of sleep; he only got about two hours due to drinking. He knew he shouldn't have been drinking. What the hell was he thinking? Now he's still got another four hours of circulation to go through. But luckily his body has the ability to let him concentrate, even though he's drunk as a pig. Allison was asleep, even more drunk than he was; she had about three more drinks than he did. She vomited along the way, but not in the vehicle. He had the ability to control his symptoms. He then noticed a motel sign proceed through the blinding sun. It was no mirage; it was really there. He pulled into its lot and shook Allison awake, she making slurred noises. "I got no choice. I'm too drunk to continue." He explained, his speech slurred. Allison stared, exhausted looking. Leviathan got out of his seat belt and undid hers, getting the keys out and getting out. He closed the door with as much soberness as possible and walked like a zombie to the other side, giving his Love a hand. She about fell out as she was helped. Her door was closed and Leviathan helped her inside the lobby. The concierge looked up and just gave a random key, then giving them a hand. "How much did you have to drink, Sir?" He asked him. Leviathan stared as their door was open, then shrugging. "No need to answer. You're drunk as-" the man cussed and let them in. Leviathan kept a hold of Allison's hand as he led them to the bedroom. Hopefully they aren't too drunk and get carried away. As he crawled in bed with her the concierge walked in. "Don't leave until you're sober. I don't want you two getting hurt." He explained, closing the bedroom door and the outside door. Allison eyed the door, then Leviathan. She soon dropped onto his arm; whoo-hoo moment? "No, no." Leviathan denied, pushing her away. But her drunk behavior made her stay. He sighed and wrapped his arm around her, closing his eyes. By the time he woke up it was well past one in the afternoon; he was now sober. But Allison was still partially drunk. Leviathan adjusted his position as he was getting up. Once he was he went to another room and took care of his business. He cleansed and went back to the bedroom, joining his Love back in bed. She lied there, peaceful and beautiful looking. She didn't stir when the bed had extra pressure against it. Leviathan pulled her into his arms and held her tight, wondering how long the journey will be. He then began to wonder how Sab and Chevy are doing as Allison snuggled deeply against him. She then rested her head on his shoulder, the hood of his Pennstate hoodie against her hair. Leviathan stared at her sleeping face as he soon smiled, glad she trusted him. He then knelt his face toward hers and gently kissed her. What's he going to expect after that?
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 5: Chevy and Sab
There wasn't much sound coming from him as she was driving while listening to the radio. But she did look through the rear view to make sure he's still there; he was silent. She sighed as she eyed the road, watching parts of the scenery as it blew by. She then happened to notice roadkill, a groundhog, as it was freshly killed on the side of the road. She pulled over alongside and asked, "You hungry?" Sab looked out the window as though he saw a person walk by; he understood her. His mouth opened once, most likely trying to say "What do you think? I'm a zombie now." She got out of her seat belt, got in the back with him, and freed him from his. She then grabbed the rope he was tied up with and opened the door, pulling him out. He stumbled out and stood there, appearing to be drunk. Chevy then began to redo the rope so it was like he was on a leash, except it was around his abdomen. She then began to lead him to the roadkill. He stared at it, then back at her, soon vomiting. Chevy quickly looked away, grossed out. She continued to look away until he was coughing. Since when did zombies cough? She wasn't sure but this one was wheezing even afterwards. "Probably had a breathing problem from that." She guessed as he soon went for the roadkill, eating it like a dog that hasn't eaten anything in days. As she held onto the rope she slowly backed up and went for the pick-up truck, getting into the back. She opened the back door and got into her back pack, pulling out a pack of fruit snacks. She opened a pack and began to eat them as Sab was eating the dead animal. He was finished by the time she was. He growled at the package, but then stopped once it was put away. Chevy gave him strange looks as he then stood up straight, no longer slouching. "Is that part of being part human?" Chevy asked herself as he walked up to her. He just stood there, staring like he needed a toothpick. His eyes were drunk and his mouth was hanging partially open, the strong iron scent coming from the blood on his lips and breath. Chevy's smelled worse, but the smell on his breath was rather sweet, like the animal ate something healthy just before it died. It had a fruity and candy smell to it, too. But the blood on his lips and face was the normal color: red, but a little dark. He got closer to her until he was practically pinning her to the truck's door, hunger in his eyes. But it wasn't of not eating much. "Someone's romantic." She said, rubbing a finger down his cheek. He watched her gentle touch and leaned in close, being more human than a partial zombie. Chevy's eyes closed, her cheeks going hot. Since when did zombies know how to kiss? She began to wonder that as he applied pressure, acting like a stubborn human who prefers to kiss along sides of roads as he's doing right now. "Sab?" Chevy said gently, gently pushing him back. He grunted, stunned in his dark eyes as they were gentle. "Not now." She said gently. "Uh............-" He moaned, sounding drunk. "Sab?" Chevy asked. But he fell forward into her arms, she catching him. His back muscles expanded, proving he's still breathing. "He's half-gone, but I can save him. I'm not letting him go. Not now, not today." She declared, pressurizing him against her in her arms. She then whispered in his ear, "I'll take care of you. You're not leaving me." She then lifted his chin and gently kissed him, then lifting him into the truck. She then put the seat belt on him, rubbed her finger down his cheek, then getting out and closing the door, getting in the driver's seat. She was already strapped in and had the truck started and gone by the time a car showed up, wondering what the hell got a hold of whatever's left of the groundhog. Chevy drove them to a remote turn-off about five miles ahead. She pulled in and followed an unexpected trail leading into an area as big as a garage. Being able to revolution the turn, her truck was facing the opposite way than when she arrived. Pulling over, she looked through the rear view mirror, noticing Sab was leaning over like he fell asleep. His eyes were closed as he was peaceful. She got out of her seat belt and climbed back, gently shaking him. He didn't respond as much as barely breathing. "Sab?" Chevy asked, shaking him. His head fell back as his mouth slightly opened, no sound. She began to get worried as she stopped shaking him, knowing that was making it worse. She then pulled him into her arms, letting him know he wasn't alone if he's still in there. Sighing, she gently let him back and got into her backpack, digging around for a pack of baby wipes she put in. She found a medium-sized pack and put it in her hoodie pocket and released her misnomer boyfriend form his prison. She even took off the rope, hoping he'll be able to breathe better. She then pulled him into her arms and went back, soon struggling to breathe herself. Adjusting her arm a certain way she felt around on the door and searched for the handle, grabbing it and using it. The door opened and she slowly began to back out, dragging him with her. She then gently lied his unconscious body on the ground once he was out of the truck. She then closed the door, then going back to Sab. He only slowly let out a breath in Chevy's face as she was handling him. She lifted him and gently drug him to the tailgate. With one hand she let down the tailgate and used both to haul the boy onto it. She then gently pushed him onto it, preventing any further injuries. And yet: she still doesn't know about the factor injury on his left shoulder. Climbing up she pushed him almost underneath the bed's liner and turned around to put the tailgate back up. She then pulled the baby wipes pack from her hoodie pocket and opened it, setting it down. She got down on her knees and pulled Sab's shirt off, noticing zombie-like fluids on his torso. "What the...?" She asked her self, not daring to touch it. It could be sweat, but she wasn't risking touching the liquid bare-fingered. She set the shirt down and pulled out a wipe, putting it to the burgundy skin. It remained red as "rust" was picked up onto the wipe. After it was unusable she then used seven more on his torso, two on each arm, two on his face and neck, and nine on each side of his back. The last thing Chevy saw was the looks of an extremely tanned boy with rust-colored wipes surrounding his unconscious body lying on the bed of the pick-up. Instead of smelling a cleansed baby she still smelled something of a creek. A country creek rather. She stood up and then knelt down to pick up the wipes and throw them in a dead bush. She then decided hand-cleaning him was done; if he was filthy "South", that was his business. "The gunk should be fertile to the soil." She figured, kneeling down again. She grabbed his shirt, lifted the cleansed boy into her arms. and began to slip it over his head. His head fell back onto her shoulder after adjustment. She then rested him back onto the bed, stood up, went to the tailgate, put it down and went down too; she fell from it.What the hell was that all about? "How'd I manage to do that I have no idea." She muttered, lying on her back. She then curled into a ball for a moment before deciding to get to her feet. Shaking it off she then grabbed Sab's feet and dragged him over to her, his underside right about against her lower abdomen. She then grabbed his shoulders and pulled him forward, his limp body coming toward her at such speed she was blown back onto the forest floor with his body on top of her. She lost her breath as he had his head smacked off the ground, soon waking up and grabbing his head, feeling the pain. He got on his knees in a rather odd way and screeched, sounding like a mother Eagle fawning over the unexpected death of one of her chicks. Chevy sat up once she caught her breath and took his hands, stroking his wrists as he was calming down. He did and watched the gentle touching, summoned by love. He opened his mouth as though to say something as Chevy used movements to help him get up. He didn't say much but yawn during the process. Chevy chuckled and pulled him into a hug, soon scrunching her nose. She cusses and says, "-you stink." The zombie moans as though he were laughing. She lets him go and quickly goes for the truck, getting in and getting a few bathing supplies, a heating blanket, and got out. She closed the door, ran for Sab, and lured him to a nearby stream. The soothing flow of water appeared to calm down Chevy more than Sab. She dropped the bathing materials and began to strip down, preparing for a chilly bath. Sab just stared, most likely wondering what the heck she's doing. It certainly wasn't him, though. She then motioned for him to do the same, but he only stared as though he were invited to a huge feast of some sort. She sighed and gave him a hand, soon going into the waist-deep water. She began to cleanse up as Sab followed, somewhat trudging through the water. He about fell when he was only foot away from her. She chuckled and reached for his hand, pulling him into a hug. The light of the afternoon sun shone peacefully in the pair of chocolate eyes, brightening them to a creamy caramel. He soon began to flex like a human as she began to bathe him properly, seeing eye to eye. It was like the stream was magical as it cleared Sab's mind; he was recovering. He then took the soap from Chevy's hand after she was finished with it, he finishing himself off. The smell of lavender and lilac mixtures filtering the air. It wafted into Chevy's nostrils as she watched, being reassured herself. Sab was done a minute later. He held the soap as he maturely pulled Chevy in to his arms, letting her know he knew what he was doing. His skin was cool, but it was soon warm once he was holding her completely. "I'll... b...be... li... like... y... y... you." He stuttered, sounding as though he's chattering. Chevy suddenly stared into his eyes, unable to believe it. "You can talk?" She asked, rubbing her hand down his left cheek. "I... can." He stuttered, thinking of what else to say. But he sighed and stared, not acting like a zombie. His eyes glowed a beautiful caramel as the sun shone in them. "I, I can't believe this. I just can't." Chevy said, half laughing and surprised. Sab stared at her, probably thinking, "Yes, yes I know I can talk. I'm not a complete zombie, you know." She wrapped her arms around him, tightly pulling him into a hug. She couldn't let go, but eventually would have to. She then kissed him until he pulled away and hissed several phrases in zombie. "What's wrong?" Chevy asked worriedly. He hissed something, but the last words he might have said was, "Let's go." It appeared to be a command. He gabbed her hand at such a humanly rate that she had no time to react. Sab had them on shore as there was another zombie across the banks on wet land. He began to charge at them as Sab began to usher Chevy into picking up their belongings. She managed to grab them and Sab dragged her up the hill, ushering her to the truck. They got in the back safely and curled up in the heating blanket, warming up. Chevy eyed Sabastian as he kept an eye out on the other zombie, protecting HER. Wait- she's human. He then readjusted his position so he could lock the door and then get back to his position. Chevy was shocked; it was supposed to her doing the protecting. Not him. But his zombie senses ignited, allowing her to know that there was another zombie nearby. "Thank you." Chevy whispered, nuzzling her head against the side of his neck. She could feel his human body heat. "You can't do all the protecting." He whispered, his voice weak. But he had a small smile on his lips, softness in his eyes, and tears forming at the corners. Chevy knew he was pain; he could't be seen much in the public due to his condition. She wrapped her arms around him and inhaled her soap on his red skin, feeling like she's snuggled against a hot water bottle or something. She sighed and then decided to get out from under the blanket. "What are you doing?" Sab asked quietly. "We need to go." She whispered, gently kissing him. She then pulled away once his eyes reopened after closing them. She began to change into a random get-up and get him one of his. They began to dress and soon were out of there a few minutes later.
The Dangerous Journey: Leviathan and Allison: Chapter 6
Thankfully he pulled away a few minutes later after the kiss; he would have wooed her due to her being drunk and the scent of alcohol on her breath messing with his mind. Leviathan got out of bed and went to another room, taking care of his business. He then cleansed and went into the living room, turning on the TV. A sports show that was on grabbed his attention as people were walking out of their motel rooms. The man on the air was talking about the zombies in his home area as the football players in the background were playing their game. Leviathan's eyes were glued to the TV as his favorite team was winning. There was only three minutes left to go before the game became deadly; zombies began to break through. People in the stands began to get attacked while other zombies ignored them and went to the walls, falling over them. Those ones began to chase the football players, hoping to get a juicy sirloin or something. Instead of the players getting hurt by them they tackled them instead and the opposing team gave them a hand. Leviathan watched as one of the players tackled one and beat it senseless. Some played "monkey in the middle" with one by using the football. People on air began to laugh at that game as other zombies were sneaking through areas. A couple managed to get into the studio and harass the people. They were soon attacked and the TV went to colored bars. Leviathan sighed and covered his face, rubbing it for a moment. He then stopped, turned the television off and got up, going to check on Allison. She was standing by the window, either watching the first mists of gentle rain fall with the sun out or she was watching the cars go by. She slowly turned her head and eyed him, a warm smile on her face. He walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her, resting his chin on her shoulder. He kissed her cheek and that was the end of it. The next day when they woke up there was no memory to yesterday, nor zombies; everything was eliminated from they're minds. Allison's head was on Leviathan's chest and that's the end of it; nothing else will be explained. But she got up, got dressed, and went to do her own thing as Leviathan stared at the ceiling of the motel room bedroom, lost in his thoughts. He only blinked once about every five minutes. He didn't stir until Allison walked in, spooking him. He adjusted in his position and stared, not sure if he did anything wrong. But she only walked over to her suitcase, opened it, pulled out a hairbrush, and began to redo her hair. Leviathan shrugged and got up, getting dressed and doing the same. He then went to another room after doing so. When he finished he walked out and found Allison making breakfast as she may have nothing to do. The warm smell of eggs and maple flavored sausage patties filled the air as maple flavored links were in the making. Leviathan walked into the kitchen and inhaled the homely scent, thinking back to his mother's cooking back when he used to live in Texas. He closed his eyes, taking in his thoughts. He then opened them after a moment as Allison has no idea he's behind her. He then walked out, trying to shake out the smell; it made him think of his mother and she was killed, which caused him to feel sorry for her and miss her. The last thing he wanted to visualize was his mother's coffin beside his father's right, his sister's placed to his father's left as the lids were down. The pain of just remembering the glowing cream and gold on the coffins made his chest hurt and his eyes want to water, especially since he hadn't their faces before their death and their death was sudden. He didn't hear about it until the night before Halloween. He walked out of the motel room and walked outside, hoping the cool fall air will clear his mind. His mind began to clear as soon as he heard zombies in the distance. He looked toward that direction and stared, his blue eyes a calm Pacific ocean. He noticed a few cross-walk guards pulling out their weapons and eliminating them. He then looked toward another direction and stared, appearing as though he's at his love's side for about eighteen hours in the E.R. The direction he was looking toward had a cars going by slowly as they spotted the cross-walkers nearby. They then began to drive again once the people gave them the signal. Leviathan sighed and turned around, going back inside the motel room to find Allison putting the breakfast in traveling containers. Once it was put away the only thing lingering in the air was the scent. He waited by the door as she took the time to wash the morning dishes and put them up for the next user. She then stacked the containers and turned around, noticing Leviathan. "Hey." She said, walking up to him. "Hey." He said, trying to calm his breathing; the smell of her cooking was nagging at him. "That smells good." He said, trying to ease. "Thank you." She said, holding them. Leviathan opened his mouth, but he soon felt sick. Feeling like he was going to hurl, he ran to the bathroom and did so, reminded too much of his mother. As he was vomiting Allison was by the door, asking him if he was alright. Hearing him cough she walked in and about dropped the containers; there was a zombie just above Levy's head, looking around for a human meal or of several boxes of soap bars and a few bottles of Clorox for a beverage. He quit coughing for a moment before slowly getting up, backing out of the bathroom with Allison. "We need to go." She told him. He nodded and went for their stuff, the two returning the key and then getting in the Dodge, soon leaving.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 7: Chevy and Sab
It was late in the afternoon when Chevy had to get gas put in the truck. The meter was getting near the critical mark by two in the afternoon. Chevy had Sab in the back so no one could him during the process. His uncanny skin will scare the daylights out of the living. After she got the gas she went inside the gas station to get a couple drinks before returning to her Love. He was sleeping silently in the back as she got in. She then started the truck, turned on the radio, and got out of there. Along the way Sab was warning her, growling and letting out a low snarl. "What? What's wrong?" She asked him. "Just feed me." he hissed, his voice appearing to rounden. She nodded quickly and soon jammed the brakes, getting out of her seat belt. She then got in the back and opened his backpack, getting out a bag of his jerky. She opened it and offered him a piece, he accepting it and eating it. She then handed him the bag, sitting beside him as he ate. He was looking toward the left as his head was partially down; he maybe looking for something else. But he chewed the meat until his bag was empty. Just dropping it on the floorboard he muttered he was done and Chevy nodded, sighing; she knows it's not only going to be hard on her but for him. "Go on." He said softly. She nodded and got back in the driver's seat, getting strapped in. As she was getting ready to drive again Sab suddenly appeared on the center console in a prowling cat position. Luckily Chevy's foot was off the gas pedal. "You see something?" She asked him, not sure how he knew to get out of the seat belt. "I don't want to be back there." He said low and serious. His eyes aimed at her, a serious and evil tint of black in the dark brown. "Go on. Get in the passenger side." She said gently. He nodded and did so, using his human knowledge to put on the seat belt. Once he was strapped in Chevy got them out of there. Yet, the road never seemed to end as a matter of fact. Each direction she looked she saw other roads and blown and abandoned cars along the way. One car she saw was alongside of a highway representing the direction she just came from appeared to have recently exploded and stopped smoldering. There were a few zombie bodies lying near it. She then eyed the road, wondering how that happened. Not wanting to she just kept ahead, driving until it was around seven at night. She came upon a motel several miles in Illinois and pulled in, knowing the truck will need the most rest. She gently shook Sab awake as he was asleep. He woke up and looked around, wondering where they are. "Pit-stop." She said gently, shutting the truck off. He slightly nodded as he got out of his seat belt, getting out. Chevy closed her door and pulled the hood of her hoodie up as he was wearing it as a disguise. The lights outside the motel interacted with his skin color and disguised it. They walked into the office and a man looked up, appearing to have expecting them. But he only pulled out a key, gave it to Chevy, and let them go. Chevy then led Sab to their room. She unlocked it and turned on the light, revealing a comfortable room with orange walls and soft brown carpet. She then closed the door once Sab was inside. The black sky was filled with diamond stars as the trees blew gently in the breeze. She pulled out her phone and gave Allison and Leviathan a quick message, letting them know she and Sabastian are okay. But is Sabastian really okay? He appears to be on the outside... but what about on the inside? Chevy put her phone away and stared into her Love's eyes, knowing everything's going to be alright. She took his hands into hers and they began to have romantic interactions until a man in the room beside theirs pounded on the wall. Chevy yelled at him to shut it, but his only response to her was a loud belch and snoring. He then fell out of bed, resulting in the floor shaking. He yelled and the woman with him laughed out loud, soon the man belching loud again before sleeping on the floor. Sab broke free from her loving grasp and went to the door, preparing to get out. But Chevy caught up to him, grabbed his hand and warned him about the dangers of people seeing him. "So I can't punish that pig next door?" he asked low. She shook her head. "But if you're hungry I'll bring in one of your jerky bags." She offered. He nodded and his eyes were soon an evil black. She nodded and went to get a bag, including a bottle of tea for him. She then raced inside the motel room to her Love and gave him the meat first. He tore open the bag and began to eat the jerky, calming himself and soothing his appetite. Once he was done five minutes later he dropped the bag on the floor and glared at the tea bottle, hoping he doesn't have to drink it. But Chevy offered it to him anyhow, he refusing to have it. "It's much better for you. It'll also give you a health bonus." She said gently. He huffed and took it anyway, breaking the seal with his muscular hands and chugging from the bottle until it was empty. And once it was he dropped it and kissed her again, keeping it silent for three seconds until Chevy decided it was time to get their teeth brushed. Sab stared as he followed her to the bedroom, then getting into his suitcase. He watched what she pulled out and pulled his out, then going to the same room as her. After watching her and he doing the same their teeth were brushed and things were returned to back where they are. Chevy was getting tired and so was Sab so he joined her in the bedroom and held each other, Chevy protecting him. She kissed him good night and that's the end of that night. The next morning the cleaning service lady walked in on them as they were silently sleeping in each other's arms and threw a fit, causing Chevy to hiss at her and Sab prove he's "humanly". The woman cleaned up, but she the took off running after Chevy tried to tell her a dirty joke about her night with Sab. But when the woman was long out Sab was irritated and hungry. Chevy got out of bed and changed into regular clothes as her Love did the same. As she was in another room taking care of her business she could hear him making a loud racket in the kitchen. She hurried up and cleaned her hands before the noises got out of hand. But arriving to the kitchen all she saw was her Love chowing down a quart-sized bag of sandwich meat, calming himself down. She smiled and stood there until he was done, then going to hug him. Of course he was okay for a few seconds until he snapped and started sobbing all of a sudden. "Can't you see I'm a monster? It's a shock I haven't eaten you yet!" He cried, eyes watering. Chevy tried to stay strong and keep a hold of her element, but his hurt made it hard. Her eyes watered as she knew he was right, but she wasn't putting him down just because he's a partial beast; he's her everything, her future, and her soul mate. Feeding him was the easy part- helping him was almost the end of the beginning. She pulled him into her arms and stared into his beautiful dark eyes, watching the black tints dance with the dark brown. "Will I ever come back?" He whispered, heartbroken and lonely. "Yes, you will come back. You're already have." She answered, trust and the Power of Love filtering her eyes. Chevy knew his devastation was only temporarily, but how much longer will it occur? She let him go and informed him to get their stuff. He followed her out to the bedroom, grabbed their things, and went to return the key. The man behind the desk was holding a rifle at Sab, but Chevy refused to let him hurt him. They were banned from the motel and Chevy was glad. Once out of there there was nothing left of them but a huge cloud of dust.
The Dangerous Journey: Allison and Leviathan: Chapter 8
The gas meter was getting severe as Leviathan traveled into the neighboring state; Illinois. Rain was falling and he about ran over five zombies due to them running in the middle of the road. Some of the ones that appeared just five miles ahead slipped due to running, but once the Dodge drove over them the zombies appeared to be pancakes. Allison's eyes were partially open as they were in a bright area lit by the white clouds. She then closed them, too tired all of a sudden. Her head then went side-ways, asleep. Leviathan paid no mind as he knew she was tired, but exactly how tired? Maybe she didn't sleep well last night because she was remembering her family as though they're alive. But no matter what: she'll never hear from or see them again. She felt like a slave in chains. But she was is no chains; only guilt for not being there to help protect them. Being this way felt hard and Leviathan knew it. It was already late in the afternoon when rain decided to come down. Leviathan pulled into the gas station and began to gas As Allison had gotten out to take care of her business. A few other people had shown up, walking and silently talking to each other until one of the dark-skinned men turned around and complimented Leviathan on his truck. "Thanks." He said, putting the pump back. "No problem." said one of the men. They then left him be. Leviathan then hurried inside the gas station and took care of his own business. Allison had gotten out to get a couple drinks and pay for them as she waited on her Love. He soon showed up and they left, getting on with their journey. As usual the night will return, but the bright clouds made it look more like the birth of the afternoon, not a few hours after it. The rain had stopped a half hour after Allison turned on the radio, the same Country station playing that either the previous couple had or Leviathan put on. Her favorite song, "Love Me Like You Mean It" by Kelsea Ballerini. The song had recently came on due to the lines, "Imma Shoot You Straight Up| Show Me What You're Made Of" playing. Instead of singing she changed the station to Classic hits, a popular song by "Hall and Oates" coming on. "Don't Hold Back Your Love" played, causing her to close her eyes, placing her hand on Leviathan. The consoling music came to her as she ignored the dial, imagining the music and listening to Daryl Hall's voice. His words and smooth singing calmed her mind, most likely doing the same to Leviathan. As he continued to drive Allison finally got another message from Chevy. She let her know that she and Sab were doing alright and were in a neighboring state. "Yeah, but Leviathan and I are in the middle of nowhere." Allison said sadly, the music in the background being heard. "Storm warning." Leviathan suddenly muttered metaphorically as the clouds were easing away. The sun was then out. The conversation ended once Chevy told them to find a motel and stay there. Allison agreed and the last word was, "Later." and Leviathan called it. That was the end of the conversation. Allison shut her phone off and put it down down, closed her eyes, listening to the late 90's song as it continued to play. When they finally came up to a motel with several signs and billboards nearby it was going on five in the evening. Leviathan pulled the pick-up in the lot and shut it off, they getting their backpacks and weapons. They got out and locked the doors, going over to the main office. When they walked in the female concierge frowned and placed her hands on her hips, glaring at the weapons. "Unless those are for the sake of safety and life they aren't permitted in here." She scowled a bit rudely. "They're to keep us safe until our friends get here." Leviathan politely explained. She glared once more before deciding to get a key set out. "When they supposed to arrive?" She sneered, getting everything ready. "I don't know, Ma'am. That all depends on how long it takes for them to get here." Allison answered. The woman nodded one rapid nod before letting them go. The two got their key and went for their room. "Sounds like a real concierge." Leviathan muttered sarcastically as they were outside. Allison nodded in sarcastic agreement. Leviathan unlocked the door and they went inside, noticing it was like any other motel room they've been given: soft orange walls, with soft dark chocolate carpeting. Allison turned on a lamp and was surprised to see it was a soft fire-color. She then set her stuff down beside Leviathan's as his was placed by the door. After she did she went to the couch and sat down, her boyfriend joining her. He wrapped his arm around her and she placed her head on his shoulder, his Pennstate hoodie acting like the same pillow from before. She shut her eyes and Leviathan did the same, they going to sleep. Long after eleven at night when they woke up they saw headlights shining through the windows. They got off the couch and ran to the window, noticing Chevy and Sab.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 9: 4 Reunite
Chevy and Sab were exhausted as the Chevy Silverado was finally shut off for the night. The smell of exhaust began to fade out as the two tired teens got out, going over to the front desk. The woman had her head down; most likely sleeping. She woke up and told them they're friends are waiting on them. They nodded and rendezvoused with them a minute later. Once the door was open Allison called for Leviathan to pick Chevy up before she collapsed. He nodded and came over, doing so. He then took her to the couch where she was suddenly in a fast sleep. Allison turned and saw Sab's covered face, wondering if he's alright. She gently greeted him and gave him a gentle, comforting hug. He didn't move much, only as to move away. When she let go all she saw was a disgusted look in his eyes. Leviathan got his arm out from under his friend and walked over to Sab, patting his shoulder. "How you doing, Man?" He asked, sounding tired himself. "Alright." He answered dully. "Why don't you lie down? You're voice sounds like that when you're tired." He suggested. Sab stared, thinking he's crazy. True he's tired, but his voice isn't strong enough to support the normal quality yet. But he shook his head and put down his Love's hood, revealing his wrapped face. Leviathan and Allison stared. He then unwrapped it, scaring the living daylights out of them both. Leviathan gasped and went for his rifle as Allison went pale as the moon. Chevy suddenly woke up as she heard the rifle click. She got up and jumped on Leviathan, taking him to the floor as he was aiming it at Sab. "Chevy!" He hissed, lying under her. She bared her sharp teeth and glared until her tired eyelids shut, soon passing out on him. He only lied there, not knowing what to do. Allison picked up her boyfriend's rifle as it had fallen from his hands from the fall. She then aimed it at Sab as he stood there in a surrendering position. "Please don't. My condition isn't what you think." He begged, innocence in his eyes. Allison glared and aimed hard. She didn't want her friend getting hurt from this vile, but was he really a vile? She never even saw a zombie with flesh as beautiful of a rusty color as his. For what she could see from the moon's shining glow was the marble'like texture; he's unique. She could just lower the rifle and reach out to him, feel his warm skin. But with her Love in the room and her friend, she knew she couldn't. And Sab was startled spookless. She sighed and lowered the gun, unable to believe herself. "How could I be so stupid?" She whispered as Leviathan was gently moving Chevy off of him. Sab didn't respond, only doing so with scared eyes. Leviathan looked up, his eyes nervous. "Sab,..." he began with a shaky breath. He looked down into nervous blue eyes as they glowed a breath-taking, but stormy sea. "What happened to you?" Leviathan asked, slowly getting up. Sab didn't speak until after Leviathan was holding Chevy's sleeping body in his arms. "I was attacked." He said quietly, his eyelids wanting to close. "By what?" He asked, soon readjusting his arms; Chevy about fell. "A zombie." He whispered, eyes soon closing. He fell backward as his head to his waist was outside; he fell asleep. Allison just stared in horror as her friend remained asleep at the doorway. She set down the rifle and stepped over him, getting her hands under his shoulders. She then began to rise him to his feet, but he was too heavy. "Mmm." He moaned exhaustedly. She sighed and gently let him back down, the weight of him collapsing upon the cement sidewalk. Leviathan set Chevy down on the couch and then went for Sab, muscling the boy into his arms. "Gee, he's heavy." He grunted, adjusting positions as he held his friend. Allison came back to help as Sab was going to placed by his girlfriend. She gave him a hand and Sab was sleeping beside his girlfriend. Leviathan thanked her and went to the recliner, sitting down on it. He pulled the recline and dozed off, Allison joining. The next morning after it was around ten Chevy and Sab were the first to wake up. Evidently they forgot they rendezvoused with them last night. But they were both half-out by the time they arrived. Leviathan heard them and woke up, rubbing his eyes. Allison adjusted her position as she woke up, kissing her Love good morning before getting up. Chevy and Sab sat up just in time for Sab to turn to zombie-mode. He began to growl as a warning sign. "Chevy, get him something." Allison hollered. Chevy got up, but Sab grabbed her wrist. "Allow me." He growled, but gently. She nodded and sat back down as he got up, going for the door. He opened it and went outside, getting a snack from the Chevy. He returned a minute later, eating a piece of jerky. "What? You wolf down your small bags?" Leviathan teased as he returned from another room. Sab glared at him as he ripped off the seal, dropping it in the trash next to the door. He opened the bag and began to eat at a piece he pulled out. He then joined his Love back on the couch, his nerves calming down. "I apologize for that misnomer." He said quietly. They all nodded. Allison and Leviathan decided to wait for a while before going back on the road. Sab was in a state of peace as he was eating silently while the other two talked. Chevy had her hand resting gently on Sab's left knee the entire time.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 10:
They got going after ten-thirty before the morning sun came out. The last touch of clouds began to disappear afterwards. Sab turned the radio on, a popular song by Country musician, Luke Bryan, came on. He closed his eyes and softly sung along to it. "Baby do I." He sung, the "I" line strong and almost professional. Chevy eyed him through her right eye, surprised. He stopped singing and asked, "What?" She said, "Nothing. I didn't know you could sing like that." He grinned and gave her the, "Bull. You know I can". She snickered and then eyed the road. In the Dodge, Leviathan slew down as he was just about to tailgate the Chevy Silverado ahead of him. His foot maybe hurting. Allison kept giving him weird looks as she watched. He eventually got the truck in control after a solid minute. "Was there a problem?" Allison asked him worriedly. He shook his head. "No, couldn't get my foot on the pedal correctly." He answered, widening his blue eyes for a moment. The morning sun caused the blues in them to glitter like paradise waters. They never appeared so beautiful. He aimed them back onto the road as the Chevy ahead of them was far ahead. The sun was blinding and the sky was clear. He reached ahead of him and picked up his sports sunglasses as the November sun blinded him. His eyes had some relief once they were covered. Allison covered hers with hers and closed her eyes, going to sleep. Leviathan sighed and continued to eye the road as zombies lingered in a nearby field, keeping to themselves. Around five in the evening, the trucks needed another fuel-up as zombies crowded the farmer's fields. Chevy pulled into a pump and got gas as Sab was partially asleep in the passenger seat. Leviathan began to get it as Allison got out and went for the nearest restroom. When they finished getting gas, they returned the pumps back. As soon as Chevy did, a few men showed up and flirted with her with sly voices as she stood there, inhaling the gas fumes. As she went with it Leviathan showed up and told them to scat. He then falsely identified her as his sister. Chevy waited until the men were in the gas station before saying she wasn't. "I know. But those men are up to no good." He explained. She nodded in agreement before going back to her truck, getting in and starting it. She then pulled it forward as he went for his. When all four of them were in the gas station together with their backpacks, they began to fill them up with snacks and drinks. Chevy made sure Sab was getting all the jerky he could get. He emptied five shelves of them as he grabbed. He even emptied twenty-count boxes. Once he was finished and Chevy was done on stocking up on energy drinks and teas, she made him stock up on tea so he wouldn't get dehydrated. For his chance of returning to human he agreed and did so, his backpack weighing heavily. Luckily his muscular back muscles were able to support the weight. As Chevy stared into his, reading his thoughts, there was a silent shot go through the air, followed by screaming. They turned that direction, but only to see shelves in their way. Chevy called Leviathan, but he didn't respond. Running to the exit, the Dodge Ram was already gone, the tail lights glowing like red neon in the late evening.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 11: Allison and Leviathan
The injury might have appeared minor at first, but when Allison's sleeve began to soak up of blood Leviathan knew there was only one option: get her to the E.R. The pick-up was already flying down the highway like a comet. People walking along the road saw and heard nothing but the blackness and revving engine of the Dodge. Allison applied pressure to her bleeding arm as Leviathan rushed them to the E.R. His eyes were icy, but worried at the same time. He eyed the road, not caring whether there were zombies on it or not. He didn't care if people were alongside of the road, either. He blew by and crashed into multiple zombies, blood spraying humans. But the truck held strongly. He flew through multiple blood puddles and splashed people, also disguising them. Lots of them cussed as they flung zombie blood off of themselves. Some seemed cool about it, especially since there were zombies not even three feet away from them. Leviathan noticed through the rear-view mirror that people who cleaned off were attacked while people who dealt with it were avoided. He only hoped his Love will make it. Minutes later, they arrived at a hospital in Chicago. By then, the sun was a fire in the sky. Leviathan reached behind him, hurting his shoulder blade, and grabbed his backpack. He then shut the truck off and gave his Love a hand with her seat belt as she continued to cling for her life. She was soon going into shock as he was out, going to her door. He opened it and got her out, closing and locking the truck by using the clicker. He then rushed her inside as nerves in her arm were going off. As nurses in the waiting room were getting information about other patients, Leviathan's calling their attention. His blood-soaked hoodie, Allison's stiff body, and her bloody shirt was a sign. Nurses rushed for a bed as others went to help. A female nurse arrived as he male partner did. "Let's get her strapped down." He said quickly, but with a gentle, soothing voice. "She's lost a lot of blood and has gone into shock." Said the female. Leviathan's eyes watered, the blue darkening and intensifying. "I'm going with her." He said to the male nurse as they began to rush her to the room. "No, sir. You can't." He said sympathetically. "I love her and don't want to lose her. If her parents were still alive right now they'd kill me if she dies." He explained, not budging. The nurse eyed him with jade eyes that were denying him. Leviathan then bared is cat teeth, scaring the man. "Alright, alright. You can come. Just put those teeth away." He begged. Leviathan did so and he was in the room Allison was to be worked on in. As he sat in a chair while the nurses worked, he pulled out his phone and gave Chevy a heads-up.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 12 Chevy and Sab
Chevy couldn't believe what had happened; they left without telling them where they were going. Chevy remembered screaming, but she wasn't sure who did it. It certainly did not sound like Allison nor Leviathan, but who was it? Sab sat in the passenger seat, trying to collect his thoughts while trying to forget about all the blood on the parking lot. His stomach began to growl for meat. Grabbing his bag of jerky from in between the seats, he opened the bag and began to quietly eat. Chevy heard everything and let it go, knowing he was controlling his hunger. She eyed the road and tried to relax, but her friends were worrying her. She felt her phone vibrate and pulled over onto a turn-off, pulling it from her pocket. She turned it on and found the message, reading it. ""What's wrong?" Sab asked, swallowing. "Allison's been shot." She said quietly. She was beginning to get the feeling of crying. Sab took her hand in his and stroked it with his thumb, feeling her pain. But Chevy fought back the tears and looked over at a zombie as he was silently standing still in the headlights, looking stupid, but innocent. She watched how he faced forward, calm and peacefully. He didn't stir until something startled him. He soon ran that direction, pouncing on a field mouse and eating it. Chevy noticed his hazel eyes glowing a soft yellow in the sunset as his pale skin glowed orange. She then put the truck in gear as the zombie got up and sprinted toward the Silverado, still hungry. He then stopped as Chevy began to pull up, hearing something else. He then ran back to the field, this time pouncing on a raccoon and savoring it. Chevy eyed the road and pulled ahead, leaving. She then remembered what Leviathan told her. "Don't come to Chicago. It's Hell out there." She inhaled deeply and slowly exhaled, feeling the pressure. Sabastian ate at his jerky until the bag was empty. He rolled it up and jammed it between the seats, getting it out of the way. He slumpt in his seat and sighed, feeling better now. He then looked over at his Love's knee and gently put his hand on it, squeezing it. Chevy sighed and smiled, keeping her eyes on the road. She then drove by a sign welcoming them into Chicago. Ignoring the city, she drove by and took a half hour to get out. When they reached the country-side, there was a sign informing them of a nearby motel about five miles down the road. The sun was soon gone by the time they arrived. When they got out, Chevy locked the doors and Sab put the hood of his hoodie over his head. They then walked inside the main office as a man was typing at his computer. He looked up and grabbed a random key, putting it on his desk as Chevy signed it out. She then grabbed the key and left the office with Sab, they going to their room. They arrived to their room and Chevy unlocked it, opening the door to a comfortable, homely room. She walked to the bedroom and opened the door, dropping her backpack by the door. Sab joined and dropped his bag next to hers as she took her shoes off and crawled in the bed, smelling flower bouquets. He joined her and got under the blankets with her, cuddling up to her. She began to cry as she turned on her left side, snuggling deep into a pair of strong, protective arms. Sab gently kissed her hair, inhaling the old, left-over smell of lavender on her skin. She sniffled as she cried. Sab then began to console her, followed by gentle, soothing singing. He sung "Fall" by country singer Clay Walker. His grip around her got stronger and more loving per paragraph. After the last line, "Baby, fall.", she was fast asleep in his arms. The next morning there was hollering going around as cop cars and road workers in the area. The concierge came in and said, "We got zombie packs coming through. We're going to be on lock-down until further notice." He said as Sab was awake. His rusty colored face nodded in the dim morning as the clouds were out. Chevy opened her eyes and stared, wondering what the heck he just said. Sab whispered it in her ear once the man was out the doors. She looked at him and sighed, thinking of what will happen. He didn't move to show any sign of knowing; he only wrapped his tightly around her. She compressed herself against his stone hard, but fragile torso. She then closed her eyes again, going back to sleep.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 13: Allison and Leviathan
Four days later around six in the morning the nurses had just got done cleaning off Allison's injury and flushing of her stomach as she had vomited during surgery. Equipment used were thrown away or else cleaned with chemicals to be reused. Allison lied there, eyes closed and pale skinned; she was still drugged. Leviathan lied silently in a guest's bed as he was sleeping on his left side, left hand under his left ear. He had gotten up an hour before to use the restroom and ask a doctor about Allison's performance. She replied positively and said she was a trooper. He smiled and returned to her room, climbing back in the bed he was assigned. An hour later around seven Allison woke up, not remembering a thing. Her arm no longer hurt, but it was numb clear the way up to her shoulder. She sat up as a male nurse came in, reading from a clip board. He turned and looked over at her and smiled. "Uh, Miss. Richardson." He greeted. She stared. "How you feeling?" He asked gently, aware of waking her boyfriend. She shrugged and looked away, looking down at the floor at a diagonal. He studied her Asian features and nodded, understanding. "Well, in a few minutes Nurse Mellissa will come in to heck on you and then run a few more tests on your reproductive system as there's been changes going on." He said gently. She nodded, but not getting it all. He stayed for a minute longer before leaving. She was confused. She turned and looked over at her boyfriend as he was silently sleeping; he appeared to know nor hear nothing. She then heard Nurse Mellissa's footsteps. She turned and faced the brunette as she was reading from her clip board. She then looked up at Allison ans gave her a gentle smile. "We're ready for you, Allison." She said gently. She nodded and got out of the hospital bed, following her nurse. "You've recovered a remarkable amount, child." She said gently. Allison nodded. "But I'm afraid you cannot have anymore intercourses for quite awhile." She said mournfully. Allison's eyes widened. "So what you're saying is-" She began. "You're going to be a mother, Child." Mellissa said low, walking her to the room. Allison's blood went cold as her heartbeat paused for a half a second. She gulped and followed her, unsure of what to say. But what will Leviathan say is what reeled though her mind.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 14: Chevy and Sab
They didn't realize they were there for four days. The time just went by too fast as they had been reading books they brought from college and reading Chevy's manuscripts. At night there was heavenly romance with either smooth jazz or love songs by Peter Cetera playing quietly. The music would stop at midnight. Around eight in the morning, the sky was rather dim than bright. Chevy woke up in Sab's arms as his body heat enveloped her. His chin was gently resting upon the top of her head while he was holding her. Chevy took a tired, deep breath and exhaled, striking Sab's esophagus with her rich humidity wafting from it. He sighed with pleasure as she cradled the side of her face against his collarbone. Sab adjusted a bit as he was stretching, soon opening his dark eyes. Chevy opened hers and saw the black tints swarming in with the dark browns. He looked down into her eyes and noticed hers was dark like his, but not black like his is right now. He smiled and kissed her forehead, inhaling the fresh scent love on her as he romanced her each night to help her get over her fears. She completely forgot about Allison and Leviathan and the world around her. Sab did, too. And yet, he was part zombie with a strong touch of man left in him. Otherwise, the zombies, troubling world, and their friends were like a long lost memory and forgotten. "How long have we been here?" Chevy whispered. Sab shrugged and stared longingly into her eyes, lost in their beauty. Chevy looked down and sighed, squinting in the dim lighting. "Why does it have to be morning?" She whispered, not looking into her boyfriend's devouring eyes. "I don't know." He whispered, feeling her pain. She looked into his eyes this time and snuggled so deep into his caress that he was having trouble breathing. Chevy felt his warmth and clung to him like a kitten. She never felt so safe to be in the arms of a jerky-eating eating zombie. She then began to sing a few lines from her favorite song: Amazed by her favorite band: Lonestar. "Baby, I'm amazed by you." She whispered, gently kissing his throat. He then sung a few lines as he knows the same song. "Baby, you surround me. You touch every place in my heart." He whispered, pulling her closer than he's ever done before. "I don't want to leave this bed." She sung softly, changing the song. Sab smiled and sung, "You'll never have to walk again." They chuckled and Chevy asked, "How did I live without you?" "You'll have to take that up with my parents." He said gently. "That's as though they're still alive." She said. "Yeah. I never thought about that." He said quietly. "They'd probably gun me down due to appearance anyway if they'd see me like this." He said quietly, looking away. "You could say your skin color is just paint." She suggested. Sab shook his head, but knew she was right. He could, but if he were drenched his skin color wouldn't change. "No." He whispered, looking down into her eyes. She sighed, agreeing. "I haven't thought of that." She whispered, staring into his eyes. "Nope." He whispered, agreeing. He then sighed. "We should be getting up." He whispered, adjusting positions. He then got up as Chevy eyed him, noticing his dim figure in the dim lighting. She only saw the dark figure as the man she loves moved around in the light. She then got up and took care of business as he dressed. She did they packed up, leaving minutes later.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 15: Allison and Leviathan
She was speeding in a thirty-five zone. Leviathan held onto the handle by his door as Allison was going eighty. There were bodies of zombies in every direction on the road. The scenery was blowing by like a movie as the blurry outcasts surrounded the Dodge. Bodies of humans and animals were also run over. Leviathan begged Allison to slow down, but her fears came to the best of her. She soon slammed the brakes as there was a buck, doe, and fawn on the road. She began to cry as she saw them stare at the truck calmly and quietly. She covered her face and back-handed the steering wheel with her face covered; she was too hurt. The pain hit her chest like a bullet as she sat there while the truck idled. Leviathan sat there, stunned. "What's wrong?" he thought about asking. He was just about to open his mouth until her pouting became critical. He became more and more worried the longer she cried. She then finally leaned side-ways and struck his shoulder with the side of her head, sobbing. The deer family in front of the truck just stood there, wondering what the heck was going on. "What's wrong?" Leviathan asked gently, keeping his arms back in case she'd snap. She lifted her head, eyes brown. She then glared at him and punched his jaw, Leviathan's head going to the right. The deer family's nerves jolted, still watching. Allison stared as tears came from her eyes, the pain hurdling around her heart. Leviathan didn't say anything; he only sat there, taking in the hit. He then faced her, not surprised; he knew she'd do that. She soon started to hit him until she couldn't no longer; his face was bruised and he had scratches above his eyebrows, but he wasn't harmed in any other way. His lip was also bleeding. "What the he-" he couldn't finish; his jaw hurt. He grabbed his bottom jaw and rubbed it, not surprised at all. Allison just sat there, glaring and crying at the same time. She then whispered the problem harshly in his ear. He stared, eyes wide and shocked. "No. I couldn't have." He fretted. "Well, you did." She whispered, gentle this time. Leviathan couldn't believe it. "It doesn't make sense. I was sober enough to prevent that." He whispered, holding onto his jaw. "We did it when we were sober, I think." She whispered, tears still going down her eyes. Leviathan shook his head, not believing it. "Unless we still had a buzz, I don't remember." He said gently. Allison only stared for a moment. She then said," We were still drunk." and got back to driving. She kept it slow so she wouldn't scare the deer. The father deer stayed close to the guard rail while the doe and her fawn went over it, somewhat spooked. The buck then turned and calmly walked away, joining the rest of his family. Allison sped up once she was more than five hundred feet away from them. After stopping for a fuel-up and adding oil and coolant to the Dodge, Leviathan took the wheel and then their journey continued. They arrived into the neighboring state late around nine at night and motel by nine:thirty. They grabbed their things and locked the truck, going to the front desk. A fat serviceman was busy talking and laughing with the large concierge as they were having a conversation. Leviathan cleared his throat, getting their attention. The large men stopped laughing and the concierge grabbed a random key, Leviathan taking it and Allison following him to their room. The sky was black and the moon was full. The air was also chilly, but not chilly like it was yesterday. Leviathan unlocked the door and they walked in, turning on the light. A warm welcoming enveloped them as they stood there, absorbing the comfort of their room. Leviathan decided he was calling it a night, so Allison did the same thing. They found the bedroom and prepared themselves for bed. When they were asleep in each other's arms, the night seemed as though it never existed.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 16: Chevy and Sab
She began to wonder where all these motels were popping out as she and Sab were still going through Missouri. "That's probably the third motel we've seen here today." Sab muttered tiredly. Chevy nodded as she turned the wheel, pulling into the lot of one. Sab watched how graceful the leather steering wheel turned in her hands as the Chevrolet symbol slid under each turn. He then looked into the neon lights, wondering what this place will look like. He had no until Chevy had the truck in park, shut off for the night, and those two in the office, leaving with their key and then into their room. The walls were a soft Texas green as there were mahogany wood floors. The room was softly lit with an automatic lamp that turns on when someone opens the door. Chevy dropped her things by the door and walked in, Sab doing the same. They walked over to the window and stared out it, watching the night cirrus clouds go by. The moon was in an eclipse of it's own as it glowed by itself. No stars were out this time, but it's to be cloudy with rain tomorrow. Chevy sighed as Sab wrapped his arm around her, feeling tired again. They walked away from the window and looked for the bedroom, getting ready for bed. Once they were asleep, that day was no longer there. When they woke up the next morning, they changed into their next get-up and got ready to go until the Swat team showed up, threatening Chevy's Love. He felt defenseless at first, but Chevy's stubborn side got on the Swat team's nerves. Sab actually proved he was more human than zombie and the team bought it, leaving afterwards. He was shaken as Chevy kept an eye out on anybody who mistakened him. Others gasped as they went to the office. The fat concierge was listening to loud music as he as spinning in his chair, singing at the top of his lungs like a drunk. His chair spun unusually fast as he had weighed in the four hundreds range. Chevy and Sab decided to chuckle as the man wasn't paying attention. But when he realized they were standing there, he began to freak out while sitting in his chair, spinning at the same time. His screams would get close before sounding far away. The teens continued to laugh as they walked back to the truck, unlocking and getting in it. As they were strapping in, they noticed zombies coming toward the hotel. They grabbed their weapons and set them, beginning to exterminate them. The zombies dropped as their blood squirted the road and any vehicles near. Once the last one was dropped from that wave, they put their weapons on safety and began to leave, until there was one last gun shot; the bullet struck Sab dead-on in the shoulder, blood spraying the cab of the truck, himself, and Chevy. He screeched as he held the wound, inhaling deeply while suffering. Chevy got out of her seat belt and began to aid him, cleaning the wound until it was clean enough to be clogged with a lathered cotton ball to prevent any other bacteria. She threw out blood-covered materials onto the parking lot as a punishment. Sab was frightened as he stared with wide, dark eyes. His breathing was slow and calm, but it would eventually fail if he doesn't seek actual treatment. Luckily, Chevy had the bullet removed before she lathered the cotton ball. She then informed Sab that she was taking him to the Emergency Room. Sab looked at her, thinking, "You crazy?" She read his eyes and nodded, but got back in the driver's seat, strapped in, and got them out of there. It was merely eleven minutes when she got him there. The lot wasn't even close to being full, but there was still people hanging around. Once she had everything she was going to need, she got him out and locked the doors, picking him up and running him into the hospital. People began to freak out once they saw the rust-colored boy. Nurses began to call for guards as the receptionist backed up slowly. But once the guards showed up and everyone was standing still, Sab had just freed his face from Chevy's shoulder. His eyes were partially open as blood stained his and her shirts. The guards cocked their rifles in protection only. Then Chevy began to speak as calmly and carefully as possible. Sab was losing consciousness as his girlfriend explained. "His injury was an accident?" asked the receptionist. Chevy nodded as Sab was barely breathing; the pain was getting worse. The guards lowered the rifles as they realized he was showing no harm. Then a couple nurses rolled over a bed once Chevy promised to stay with him. He was situated and rolled into the room he was to be aided in. By the time he was set up, he was already unconscious.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 17: Allison and Leviathan
The sun was blinding them as they struggled to sleep. Leviathan felt overheated from the morning sun shining on him ever since it came out around nine. He opened his eyes and got up, yawning. He rubbed his eyes and found out he broke into a cold sweat during the night. "What the-?" He asked himself, standing up. He then realized the window was open; there were water droplets on the window pane itself as it had rained during the night. Leviathan went to the window to close it, getting water on his hands. He then wiped them onto his dark blue jeans and went to the motel's bathroom, taking care of his business. Allison had woken up and stared at the ceiling, wondering what day it is. Ever since they left Clarion University Allison lost track of the days. Was it Wednesday? Thursday? Friday? Or was it Saturday? She got up and went to her jacket as it sat on her backpack. She reached into the pocket and grabbed it, turning it on. Once it loaded a minute later, Leviathan came out as the phone was at the main screen. He walked up to her as the date was exposed. Allison gasped and covered her mouth; the date was "November 12th, 2019. 9:45 a.m." She began to tear up as Leviathan pulled her into his arms. "What's wrong?" he asked gently. "I missed my nineteenth birthday." She whispered, crying; her birthday was November 6th. True she's nineteen, but she's now nineteen and six days old. Leviathan sighed as he wasn't bothered; he was focused more on his and her survival. He held Allison until she stopped crying. She then popped her phone into his hand and went for the bathroom. Leviathan looked at it. He then decided to go through her emails to catch up on anything from Chevy and Sab. Noticing something about Sab getting shot, he skimmed through the message and deleted it so Allison wouldn't feel worse. Just to make her feel better, he quickly modified a text message to make it look like Chevy or Sab said happy birthday to her on the sixth. The date and time he also modified. While she was still away, he pulled his own phone out and gave Chevy a heads-up about the fake message. She replied with a puzzled message, but he told her that if Allison thanks her, she's to go with it. She replied positively and ended the chat; she was in a hurry. Leviathan sighed and turned his phone off, quickly putting it away. Allison then arrived, taking her phone from him. She then noticed the fake message and opened it, reading it. Leviathan hid his smile, although he did it for her. She cheered as she thought it were actually from Chevy and Sab. She calmed down once she realized Leviathan wasn't thrilled. "They do care. It's just that they're busy and so are we." He said gently as she calmed down. She nodded in agreement and turned the phone off, putting it away. She then took a deep breath and looked around for a moment before going to fix her hair. Leviathan went for his brush and brushed his hair out, the black strands reminding him of Texas. He sighed and brushed until his hair was kempt. He then put his brush away. Once Allison was finished, he informed her they had to go. She agreed and and they made sure they had everything before going again.
The Dangerous Journey: Chevy and Sab: Chapter 18
It was long into the evening when Sab had at last woke up. Chevy was lying in a guest bed propped against his as she was asleep, recovering from a headache she received. Sab woke her up with his zombie moaning. She was just about to get up and get him a bag of jerky from her back pack until he motioned for her to stay put. "My stomach hurts." His voice was rather raspy like he has a sore throat. Chevy nodded as she lied back, worried. Sab sat up and rubbed his eyes, blinking after doing so. He then rubbed his shoulder, feeling the bandages wound around it. He then stared at the IV, not caring or concerned about it. He took a deep breath and stared at the hospital walkways, wondering what time it was. His stomach then began to cramp up like he was getting severe abdominal cramps and screeched, getting nurses' attention. They rushed over with pain medication and something small to help his stomach. But Sab denied everything. His breathing began to increase as his heart rate increased, sweat coming from his forehead. Nurses began to aid him as some put more antibiotics into the IV. Sab was screaming from the pain as Chevy watched in horror, worried about her Lover. Sab then began to vomit, striking nurses and equipment. The pain was getting worse as it felt as though he were getting stabbed all throughout his body with thousands of knives. Untouched nurses began to pin him down to the bed, holding off the pressure. Chevy got up and went for his side and grabbed his hand; it was cold and sweaty. She stared into the darkness of his eyes as his skin color began to change. From rusty to lavender. To tanned skin to the fair color it was before he was attacked. Sabastian then went still, his breathing calm and heart rate slower; he had healed from a partial zombie to a full man. His warmth returned as Chevy rubbed his sweaty forehead, soothing him. Her eyes were wide as she had watched him change. Nurses and other doctors lingering watched in shock as he recovered. He then blinked several times before slowly sitting up. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh." He wailed, his voice loud, healthy and sharp and strong. Sweat soaked his face and hospital gown. Just then, a few nurses fainted as others went to help them. Chevy went pale as vomit-covered nurses stepped back. Sab then said, "I want to leave." Chevy understood him, but wasn't sure about the nurses. Ones untouched by vomit just stood there, unable to move. "NOW!" Sab yelled, his eyes a furious dark brown. The untouched nurses nodded and got him off the equipment. Once taken care of, Chevy grabbed their stuff and she got them out of there.
The Dangerous Journey: Allison and Leviathan: Chapter 19
Leviathan forgot how many zombies he hit along the way through the state he and Allison were in. He remembered hitting six about three miles away from the motel, but was it about fourteen more? Or was it eighteen more where twenty-four zombies were struck? He had no idea; he forgot. He checked the dashboard clock and read it: it was long after nine. Going on ten in two minutes. He sighed as he feared the truck wasn't going to make the long journey. Luckily, it had to rest four days ago. Now, it was in the Hell of its life. They soon drove into a town not far from the Missouri/Kansas border. Allison looked the area as street lights were lit and businesses alive with late-night workers and employees that wanted to help out by working over-time. Police cruisers were on the town, driving by casually and hanging around, working to keep the town safe. Leviathan took a road that'll lead them to a gas station, then out of the area. Once gas was put in and they grabbed some late-night snacks from the gas station, they got out of there. "It seems as though this place has never been touched by zombies." Allison said, opening as bottle of tea she got. "That's what it appears to be." Leviathan agreed, turning the wheel. She shrugged and took a sip, watching the sign that greeted them into Kansas blow by. She then saw the corn fields, corn husks having an orange glow. She then looked away, sighing. She then looked at Leviathan as she noticed his eyes had a slight pinkness to them; he was getting tired. He yawned as he eyed the road, watching the lines. Allison then asked, "You want me to drive?" Leviathan smiled, but shook his head; he was faking it. His eyes soon closed for a few seconds before Allison took the wheel and drifted the Ram back onto the road. Leviathan quickly opened his eyes, not sure just what happened. He then eyed Allison, she staring at him with a slight of dignity in her eyes. He then pulled over, knowing she was going to get the wheel again. He then swapped her spots, getting in the passenger seat. She got in the driver's and they got strapped in, Allison pulling ahead and Leviathan going to sleep. The sun continued to set the further the Dodge Ram got.
The Dangerous Journey: Chevy and Sab: Chapter 20
The next night the sky was a black velvet blanket with diamond stars. The area where Chevy and Sab was at was peaceful and quiet. No zombies touched the meadow, so they got out of the truck and lied on the hood, watching the night sky. Sab let out a peaceful sigh, relaxed. Chevy lied her head on the cold burgundy metal, looking back to her childhood. The night was a calm wonder as the danger of zombies was elsewhere. It was also more than guns and blood, mixing in the scenery with the combinations of roses and death. The night was too beautiful to be interfered with zombies. But the low sound of crickets and faraway cars made the night more soothing as they gazed the night sky, looking for the future. Chevy couldn't believe how far they've gotten, let alone how far Sab got while he was half-human. But she took his hand and snuggled close, feeling his body heat. "Are you glad to be back to human?" She whispered as though to not disturb the night. "It's the best gift." He whispered as though to not disturb the night. Chevy sighed, glad he's back to his old self. He now won't have anyone threaten him nor try to endanger him anymore. The star lights glittered in his eyes as the blacks were peaceful puddles of licorice. His smile is also more broad than usual. They lied on the hood for about another five minutes before deciding to get back in the truck and continue the journey. This time, Sab took the wheel.
The Dangerous Journey: All four: Chapter 21: Major time travel
The days have gone by at their own pace as the two trucks west the same direction: west. Chevy and Sab often stayed at motels that Allison and Leviathan stayed at hours before they even arrived. They also stopped at the same gas stations long after they left. Often times, they had to sleep in the truck due to exhaustion while on the road. The weather changed every three days from being sunny to rainy. The rain basically did its job by soaking the grass and cleaning off highways and lands, but it caused other disasters for speeders as they had their brakes locked and swerved into one another. Zombies managed to get to them while others slipped or tripped due to rain and car parts. The main highway was littered with empty ammunition, human/zombie body parts, pieces of vehicles, blood and organs, and deceased animals. Many people who are still surviving got sick and vomited along the road, making the highway worse. Multiple cars had exploded and results were soot and ashes all over the place. Allison and Leviathan were the first to travel the highway while law enforcement and the National Guard were on the prowl, exterminating zombies. Thousands at a time were deceased by the time the Chevy Silverado finally came through. It was then late in the afternoon, around six, when the Chevy arrived to the final gas station in California Allison and Leviathan were once at. Chevy and Sab got out and went to take care of business and restalk the fluids and gas. Just days before, Chevy had the brake pads replaced since they got worn down due to hard braking. But she put the pump back and joined Sab in the abandoned gas station, getting healthy snacks and drinks for the rest of the journey. Sab cleared the beef jerky while Chevy cleared gum, containers of peanuts, and dairy products by putting those in her and Sab's duffle bags. Once they had everything they needed, they got out of there and continued west to Los Angeles, wondering where their virtues will lead them. The time was a little bit after seven by the time they arrived to a jungle-pass, away from civilization. Before they gt there, they ran into live people walking the streets and cars and buses going by calmly. One bus struck multiple zombies dead-on while cruising. Sab turned the wheel and led on into the jungle, paradise within. Chevy wasn't able top believe how beautiful the area was; palm trees, coconuts, the blue skies, the sunsets, vanilla and tropical fruit in the air. She always wanted to be here, but she is due to surviving. The Chevy pulled ahead at a low profile, the silent engine unable to be heard. Coconuts fell down in various areas, including in front of the truck. Sab drove it, completely ignoring it. He then continued on until twenty feet ahead a zombie came out and he rammed into it, blood splattering the front of the truck. The zombie slid down the hood as it just barely avoided the windshield, soon hitting the ground. Sab turned on the wiper fluid and used the wipers while driving over the dead zombie. Chevy wasn't able to understand why he was appearing either annoyed or ticked off for some reason. Whatever the cause, she hopes he's get over it. Sab then continued on until he arrived to a three-way road. Pulling over and waiting, out of the blue arrived a black Dodge Ram the same year as the Chevy. Chevy herself turned and looked at the familiar truck, wondering if it was... Allison and Leviathan? The Dodge did a radio check since the Chevy Silverado has tinted windows. Sab picked up the microphone in his truck and verified the check. "Burgundy Silverado right ahead of us?" Leviathan asked puzzledly. "Leviathan, is that you?" He asked warily. "Yeah. Is that you, Sab and Chevy?" He asked over the CB. "Yeah. Where you guys been?" Sab asked. "Everywhere." Allison said this time; she appeared to have taken the microphone. "Same here, but probably behind." Chevy said this time after taking the microphone from Sab. Leviathan said something and then the two trucks had to get going again.
The Dangerous Journey: All four: Chapter 22
They went by the west coast and roads that leaded to Palm Bay Marina. Then other roads that would lead them to beaches they weren't planning to be led to. Sab ignored them and continued on, avoiding signs that would lead them to somewhere other than another motel. Twenty minutes after eight, he finally led the other truck to a beach with two ways after speeding through a jungle at eighty miles an hour with sand, rocks, and dust flying everywhere. He jammed the brakes at the ocean line, sand flying twenty feet ahead of him. Leviathan quickly turned the wheel before he hit the Chevy Silverado and jammed the brakes, sand flying five feet further. They then sat there, the trucks idling. Chevy got out and closed her door, walking up to the ocean line. Ocean water flowed into pits caused by sand loss. She then stared at the ocean, watching the glittering surf. She then heard another door open and realized it was Sab coming out to join her. He closed it and went to her side, standing to her left. The Allison and Leviathan got out and closed their doors, joining them. They then just watched as the ocean flowed, nothing of harm surrounding them. It took several seconds for Sab to say, "Well, we're here" due to distraction. Allison followed in instantly," Exactly where is here?" The other two shrugged as Chevy thought of what to say. Leviathan stood there, nothing in mind. The four watched the ocean until they heard footsteps a few minutes later. They then heard human voices, not suspicious sounds. They turned around to four females in hula get-ups as they appeared to be under constant stress. Yet, in a comforting environment. The oldest woman appeared to be a zombie herself due to her pale white skin and droopy eyelids. The other three were softly-tanned and less stressed looking. Chevy then went for them, startling them. They stood there as she introduced herself and her friends. They listened closely, soon enough trusting she's no harm nor her friends. "Where'd you all come from?" asked the middle. "Far east in Pennsylvania." She answered, peace in her voice. The four nodded and examined the other three as they stood there, watching. The four females then walked up to them and studied the eastern castaways as they had no clue of where they are, other than knowing they're in California. It took several minutes of studying before they were granted of approval. "Alright then." Said the oldest. The castaways were listening. "Boys get in the black vehicle. Girls in the purple." She finished. "Excuse me, but I'm responsible for the tallest boy's safety." Chevy said, referring to Sab. He got to her side, going with it. The woman stared, a bit freaked out, but then went with it. "Alright then. Christie and Claire, you two ride with the oldest female and youngest male. Clara and I will ride with the youngest female and oldest male." Arla, the oldest, said instead. The other three hula girls nodded and followed their duty. They then asked them of their ages and getting with them. Clara thought Sab was the oldest male, so she tried to go with him. But he denied truthfully that he's really the youngest. She shrugged and went back to Arla. Christie and Claire began to get the cold shudder when they got in the back of the Chevy Silverado; sprayed blood was still in the cab. Chevy had tried to wipe it down when Sab was still receiving treatment, but only leaving behind the looks of dark red paint everywhere. Luckily, the windshield was the cleanest as she was able to wash the inside off. "I must ask: what is this red stuff?" Christie asked nervously. "Splash." Sab said with an oddly, high pitched voice; he didn't want them to know he was about fatally injured a few weeks ago. He also had his chin up like his name would be called like it would be back in college. Christie nodded slowly as Claire stared, wondering what color it was. "Let's go. Arla's probably going to have the black truck go first." Christie said with a sigh. Chevy started the truck as Sab got his seat belt on. The other two in the black truck did the same and it was started, soon pulling toward the north first. he Chevy waited ten seconds until go-time. "Where are supposivley going?" Leviathan asked as he kept the wheels straight. "Why, to Clara Madicia of course." Clara answered, sitting down. Arla studied the inside interior of the truck, wondering what used to be back there. All she saw was duffle bags on the floor full of clothing and snacks/drinks. But she didn't dare ask what was contained in them. Not even daring, she looked up and guided Leviathan as he drove. Chevy kept the distance between twenty to twenty-five feet. It took five minutes for both trucks to arrive to a drive-way going up to the east. Arla pointed it out and Leviathan turned on the turn signal, going right. Chevy followed a few seconds later. About a minute later they arrived to Clara Madicia. By the looks, employees were out watering plants and soaking rocks. Multiple amounts of different species of tropical flowers lined the inside of a black gate while rose bushes lined the outer perimeter if it. Palm trees were scattered amoungst the outside while in neat arrangements. Most were neatly lining walkways and sidewalks while twenty-foot high ones lined the driveway going up. Palm plants were placed on picnic tables and beside a stairway going into the mansion. The scent of vanilla was in the air as vanilla plants were potted along windowsills and foundations. The Dodge Ram the turned onto a runway for cars/trucks and made way to a platform while workers were watering plants surrounding rocks. Chevy turned the wheel and followed. Workers then let the Dodge owners out of the truck and out of the way. Chevy and Sab did once they were in their spot. "This place is beautiful." Chevy whispered. "Thank you." Said a man's voice. The four teens turned around to see a man in his mid-twenties come up with his hands placed calmly behind his back. "Welcome to Clara Madicia. I hope you guys will find solemn comfort here, as well as peace from our "French Purity"." He said peacefully. The four nodded as he got closer. They then shook hands with him as a natural greeting. He nodded each time. "Where'd you guys come from?" He asked. "The apocalypse." Chevy answered, seeming faraway. The man nodded. He then told them to follow him inside the mansion. "Well surely you guys don't want to keep wearing those clothes." He said as an example. They looked down, noticing their clothing was worn down until they were torn. Somehow, the shirt Sab had put on yesterday began to tear at the left shoulder, regardless of how new it was. They then looked up and nodded, following him in. As he did, other workers got up and went for a plastic covering to protect the people already here. Others sprayed unscented Clorox to kill bacteria. After the four teens were covered, they were then led to a purple room with light purple walls and royal purple tiling. Clients were receiving massages, manicures, and even Botox as they were being treated. Massage therapists looked up and then looked down, not worrying about the new clients being brought in. The four teens were then led to another room with a steel door. The man opened it and then led them into a pale green room as green as his eyes. He then separated the four into groups based on gender and cleansers collected them. Of course Allison had to cause a scene by dropping her filthy clothes on the floor and angering her cleanser. Chevy apologized and explained her situation as Allison was in a state of her mind. Allison's cleanser then understood and forgave her client, going for softer antibiotics. Then Chevy's cleanser got her set up while the boys were already having a ball at their stations; they were telling stories about their trip and what went on during the journey. The laughter was loud as water flowing was half the volume. Chevy could have swore she heard Sab admit he got attacked, but the water hit her ears until she forgot. Allison was soon being cleansed. It wasn't long before when Chevy was moved to the next station that the boys were finally cleansed and moved to theirs. The women heard nothing but their laughter and jokes. After Chevy came out with the appearance of a fresh tan, Allison was finally moved to her second station while the boys were just getting finished. Chevy's cleanser walked her into the Relaxation Unit where she would soon have her worries rubbed away. Massage therapists and clients gasped when they noticed her; she was starved to her appearance and eyes run-down on hazel. "Somebody feed her!" a woman said frantically as she had her head up. "Lady, I'm not the only one that looks like I starved myself. There's three more that have similar appearances." Chevy informed, hoping that would calm the woman down. But she only stared wide-eyed, looking high. Chevy's cleanser gently placed her hand on her bony shoulder, not completely worried. The clients then put their faces back into the face-holes of the beds they were on, massage therapists getting back to their duty. Then the cleanser told any male massage therapist who's sitting down to get up and get diced fruit, including nonalcoholic margaritas for the new clients. They got up and did as told, one soon getting called from the pack. "Hey, Scott: get over here." Chevy's cleanser called to a man with long black hair that has blond and burgundy highlights in it. Scott turned around and eyed his client, his sunset eyes changing to a dark blue after being dark orange. He then walked up to Chevy and shook her hand, greeting her with soothing, professional words. The cleanser then retreated, leaving her treated client with the massage therapist. Scott then led Chevy to the massage-bed she was to be massaged on and got her set up. As he was doing his duty, Sab came out with his cleanser, Johnathan, and stood in his tracks, feeling a sense of alarm in process. Johnathan then calmed Sab down, allowing him to know that the massage therapists are licensed and there are special cameras in the Relaxation Unit. He sighed in satisfaction and soon enough had two female massage therapists while Scott had three other male massage therapists with him: Nathan, Jason, and Sebastian Larceny. "Hey, easy girls." Johnathan said as Sab's massage therapists were flirting. "We never saw anyone like him before." one with the longest black hair flirted. "Jessie, do your job. His girlfriend is to his right." Johnathan said calmly, but gently. Jessie nodded, then going to do he duty. "Get a move on, Christie. Jess can't always do it herself." Johnathan teased, walking back into the cleansing unit. She nodded and did so, giving Jessie a hand. "-So I do take it you guys came from the apocalypse." Jessie said as Christie got in position. "Yeah, we did." Sab answered, face in the hole of his bed. Jessie gently dug her fingers into his neck, releasing the stress deep beneath his muscles. He grunted from the tension. "Sorry." She apologized, being a little bit more gentle. "It's fine." He said quietly, closing his eyes this time. Christie had given her partner mournful looks. Chevy was in a sate where she had no idea if she was in Heaven or in a halogen room; she was in a relaxingly, peaceful state. Leviathan soon came out with Allison a few minutes later; he didn't want to appear without her. Just like Chevy and Sab, both were starved to their appearance. Leviathan appeared to have lost muscle tone due to hardly eating. Allison was worse, but they still accepted their massage therapists. While they were being aided, conversations went amoungst the teams as other clients were being aided. It wasn't until the Mission's owner walked up to Chevy's bed, checking on the team. "How's she doing?" He asked, examining. "Chase, this girl's all bony and all that I'm surprised she can stand." Nathan said, massaging the part of her was to massage. Chase stood there and stared, agreeing. He looked over at the other three and noticed they, too, were the same: bony and ill-fated. "My goodness." He muttered under his breath. "They appear fine, Chase, but we aren't risking it. The other therapists are still arriving with diced fruit and cheese." Scott said gently, massing his client. Chase nodded in agreement, but he didn't seem like he was convinced. He waited until the other therapists arrived with the fruit and cheese tray before returning to work. After a half hour, the four teens were released so they could get new clothing put on and explore the Mission at the time being. Chevy went with Scott, Sab went with Jessie, Leviathan went with his therapist Deja, and Allison went with her therapist Harvey. The teens were led to separate dressing rooms in different wings of the Mission. After Chevy was dressed in a tight country outfit, she accidentally kissed Scott, but it was only a thank you. He never expected it, but was getting the feeling something like that would eventually happen. He led her out of the room, escaping the heavenly aroma of jasmine, roses, varieties of fruit, coconut, French vanilla, passion fruit smoothie, and Love Struck perfume. They met up with Sab a minute later as he was dressed up like a Country fashion star of some sort in faded black denim, black cowboy boots, and a tight black v-neck t-shirt. The therapists joked with each other while Chevy and Sab went into each others arms. "Where's Allison and Leviathan?" Chevy asked as she held Sab in her arms. "They want privacy for now since Allison isn't well right now." Deja said gently. Chevy nodded as Sab stared, wondering what was wrong. He then shrugged as Chase walked up to them, a smile on his face. "Good job, Guys. They appear more at home now." He said cheerfully. "Well, dark colors hide out their skeletal structures." Scott said, a little queasy. Chase nodded in agreement. Just then, a young man appeared. He was out of breath by the time he made it to the five. "Chase,-" He breathed. "What is it now, Jeffry?" Chase asked calmly. Jeffry inhaled until he could breathe normally. "Chase: I've got good news and bad news." He said finally. "Give me the good news." Chase said, his voice becoming suspicious. "Good news: the trucks are successfully cleansed and disinfected." Jeffry said. "Bad news?" "Bad news: we got zombies outside." Jeffry said, fear forming in teal eyes. Chase cussed once before hollering, "SEBASTIAN ANDERS,SAMSON, NATHAN, KENDRICK, ERIK, CHRIS, JACK, ANDREW: GET READY FOR WAR!" The sound of heavy footsteps was soon heard, violent and clashing. Jeffry then went back to his previous destination. "Who is he?" Chevy asked worriedly. "He's my day-time watchman. He watches for zombies and intruders during the day while four to six employees stay up all night patrolling the area." Chase said under his breath. Sab then freed himself from Chevy. "Let me in on this. The men may need help of some sort." He said bravely. "Sab, you-" Chase began but got cut off. Chevy took a step forward, not backing down. "I'll go too. The blood hasn't run out yet." She said, confidence in her hazel eyes. "You really are a Chevy. Silverado in the background and no one messes with the truck you are. Jeeze." Chase muttered, unable to hold them back. He sighed. "Come with me." He said, luring them to the storage unit.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 23: Warfare in Sight: Chevy and Sab
He had them dressed in the same zombie killer uniforms as the original eight, but Chevy was in a dark pink uniform that can confuse zombies with the appearance of blood. He then handed them powerful, but rather light-weight weapons, extra ammunition, and grenades for the outcast. Chase then led them to the front of the lobby of the Mission before releasing them. Chevy and Sab caught up to the other Zombie Killers as they were walking slowly down the driveway, aiming their weapons. They stopped and turned around, wondering what the heck they're doing there. "Are you guys joining us?" Sebastian asked, lowering the barrel of his weapon to the ground. "We've got game to do." Chevy replied, getting her weapon in position. Sab gave a hand up to prove his answer. Sebastian and his team nodded and turned around, going back down the driveway. Chevy and Sab followed, silently aiming their rifles around. Andrew, the most serious zombie killer, hollered out the zombies as they were nearby. He and his men aimed, sharp-shooting and exterminating the small pack. Jack, another killer, held his hand back as to keep Chevy and Sab pack for a minor precaution. They held back, but then proceeded ahead once the pack was down. Walking beside Sebastian and his team mate Chris, Chevy and Sab aimed their rifles at zombies and exterminated them when the killers weren't able to. Then Chris gave a signal to spread out. The other eight spread out into groups of two while Chevy and Sab stuck together, taking out zombies coming for them. Sab yelled like a mad-man as he exterminated zombies to his left. Chevy growled like a Bulldog and yelled like a mad-woman as she exterminated zombies to her right. Several fell short before them as ammunition flew. They heard an explosion back behind them as one of the groups launched a grenade. Sand went flying through the air as the ten exterminated the zombies. Soon enough, it wasn't long before one of the groups came up to help the teens fight due to too many zombies over-crowding. Chris and Erik gunned down five at a time, clearing a path. Chevy and Sab took the right and left, taking down three at a time. There was soon a ten foot high wall of deceased zombies lying as other zombies were still getting by. As Erik was firing, a zombie sneaked out behind him and started to bite at his helmet, distracting him. Erik fluctuated and got it off. He then began to exterminate proceeding zombies as Chevy and Sab moved up a few feet, clearing another path. He eventually had a zombie bite him on the shoulder. He growled and exterminated it after grabbing it and throwing it over his shoulder. Sebastian then went to Erik's side as the men were surrounded. Chevy turned around while firing and noticed, narrowing her eyes and baring teeth that no one could see unless her helmet was removed. She then faced the proceeding zombies again and ran for them, smacking them senseless with her rifle. A lot of blood went flying as she did so. Back at his unit, Jeffry noticed and went to alert Chase. He found the man walking down the main lobby staircase. "What's wrong, Jeffry?" Chase asked, concerned. " Chevy and Sab's suits are contaminated." He said, appearing to be out of breath. "Are those two injured?" Chase asked. "No, Sir. I don't believe so." Jeffry said, a bit worried. "Jeffry,-" Chase began gently. He nodded. Jeffry sighed and looked down, nodding. "What about Sabastian, the teenager?" Jeffry then asked. "What about him?" "Sir, he's been a partial zombie three days into his journey coming here. There's evidence of a nasty scar or else a scratch on his left shoulder. It still has an odd scent to it, although Johnathan really scrubbed him down." Jeffry explained worriedly. "Oh, my." Chase said under his breath. "What do you want us to do with him if he becomes a partial or complete zombie?" Chase closed mint-green eyes, thinking. He then opened them and gently said, "Have Chevy be in the nicest room with him. Risk our policy of gender by having her scrub him down until he's clear of his wound. Then put her in the nicest room so she can re-tame him." Jeffry nodded, but not sure why he said "nicest room". "Why the nicest?" He asked. "Because zombies enjoy luxury." Chase said, soon sarcastic. Jeffry nodded, not offended. He then held his head up. "I'm going to help out in the Relaxation Unit." Chase said gently now. "You go do that, sir." Jeffry agreed, going back to his post. By the time he arrived, he noticed Chevy throwing and gunning down zombies as they tried to get Sabastian. He fluctuated in several directions, smacking several with his rifle. Chevy had to actually get her rifle up and fired, bullets souring past Sab's head. They struck zombies dead-on and dropped them instantly. Once they were off, Sab collapsed, blood coming from the back of his helmet; he appeared to have been bitten. Chevy dropped to her knees, and turned him over, keeping the sand from his face mask. But all Sab did was inhaled and exhaled. "Sab?" Chevy asked, gently shaking him. He only raised his left arm half a foot before it dropped due to weakness. She then grabbed his rifle, swung it over her shoulder, and then pulled him into her arms until she was able to hold him in her arms with him somewhat hanging there. She couldn't see his face due to his face mask, so she just guessed his eyes were closed. Shen ran for home base, getting Sab to safety.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 24: Here He Goes Again: Chevy and Sab
Jeffry saw what happened and rushed from his unit to help Chevy; by getting a rope by his chair and throwing it to nearby palm trees. He landed on his feet and helped Chevy removed Sab's suit, revealing his eyes are indeed closed. Only his top front teeth were showing. Then he helped Chevy out of hers, getting her to a more energized state. As soon as she was out of it, she muscled Sab into her tired arms and Jeffry led the way to the cleansing unit. There, both teens were disclothed. "Chev, you're going have to hold him down in case he turns back to a flesh-eater again." Jeffry said, getting the water ready. Chevy nodded and finished removing her shirt. By the time it was, Sab was already screeching; he had transformed. Jeffry was scared out of his mind and dropped a bin he was carrying and ran, Sab chasing him. Chevy ran for the spicket and hose, wondering how to turn it on. Jeffry was too busy running to even attempt to help her. She then figured it out and turned it on, blowing Sab against a wall. He screeched several times as the cold water coated him. Jeffry thanked her and took the hose, Chevy running for Sab. Jeffry then lessened the power of the water by the time Chevy had him pinned to the tiles, calming him down. Sab tried desperately to get up, but his muscles wouldn't cooperate. Jeffry turned the water to hot and the zombie began to calm down, muscles relaxing. Chevy used whatever strength she had left to pin him as Jeffry got antibiotics and disinfectants loaded up and sprayed at both of them. Sab screeched from the pain as the disinfectants struck his injury on his neck, getting rid of any bacteria that'll make his condition worse. After several minutes on holding him down and nearly getting blinded by soap and water, Chevy gave way as Jeffry turned the water off, letting her recover as Sab lied there, dazed and appearing drunk. Then Scott and Johnathan showed up, wondering the chaos. "What happened?" Scott asked worriedly. "There's no time to answer that, Scott. Get a couple heated towels before they go into shock." Jeffry said quickly. Both men nodded and ran. Then Chevy managed to get to her feet and pull Sab to his, the zombie limp. "How is he?" Jeffry asked, walking slowly up to them. "Not good. His heart rate has slown down dramatically due to struggling and his breathing is shallow." Chevy said worriedly. "HURRY!" Jeffry hollered. Scott and Johnathan arrived in just the nick of time to see Sab about collapse. Johnathan grabbed him and wrapped him in the heated towel as Scott helped Chevy into hers. Then he noticed Sab's injury. "I don't think anyone will be able to dodge that bullet." He said metaphorically. "Neither do I." Chevy agreed, knowing what he meant. "We should be getting you two to the nicest room." Jeffry said a minute later. Chevy nodded, but since he realized she was still too tired to pick Sab up, he had Johnathan do it instead since he was the only other adult in the cleansing unit; Scott had returned to the Relaxation Unit. Once Sab was in a much stronger set of arms, Jeffry led the way quickly, hoping Sab wouldn't snap like he did before. Johnathan kept quiet as a way to let Chevy know he wasn't going let Sab know he was in HIS arms instead of hers. She nodded in agreement. When they arrived a couple minutes later, the cleanser gently placed Sab on a chocolate velvet couch and left him there, leaving the still-warm towel on him. Chevy then walked in and went to her Love as he lied there, almost unconscious. Johnathan placed his hand on her shoulder, keeping gentle due to lack of fat. "He's going to be okay, right?" Jeffry asked Johnathan. "I don't know. I know nothing about zombies." He answered truthfully. Jeffry sighed as he soon left, staring at Chevy as she had her back to him. "Is there anything you want brought up from your truck?" He asked finally. "Yes. Bring up our camouflage backpacks. His is the standard, mine's pink." She said, not looking back to him. He nodded and left. Chevy sighed and hit her knees, the towel holding. She then rubbed the side of Sab's head, feeling his warm skin. He's now a complete zombie and she's still a human. What difference will it make. Will he still be able to talk? Will he be able to remember his time as a half-zombie? She had no way of knowing; all she knows is that she's to protect him and tame him. She continued to rub his cheek until Jeffry reappeared, setting the backpacks by the door. Chevy got up and went to hug him, feeling lonely for some reason. Jeffry returned it loosely, as he knew she was only in a towel. She then let go and stepped back, giving him space. "Where's our rifles?" She then asked, noticing their missing. "They're still being disinfected. There was lots of zombie blood embedded into the bodies of the rifles." He said. Chevy nodded. "I'll have someone send them up when they're ready." Jeffry promised. "Okay." Chevy said low. Jeffry nodded and left, leaving Chevy with Sab. She sighed and turned around, facing her Lover. She eyed his silent face and wondered when he'll wake up. She then looked down at herself and stared at the fluffy, black towel wrapped around her. "I can't keep wearing this." She muttered, soon going down the hall. She checked each room for either a bedroom or at least a small dressing room. She then came upon a small dressing room with a small vanity table and antique Armoir in a corner, going inside. She went to the Armoir and opened its doors, getting struck in the face with the scent of "Love Struck". Suddenly refreshed, she blinked and searched for an outfit to put on. Finding the same lingerie, she put them on and searched for clothing. Finding faded black denim, she slipped them and realized her abdomen was showing due to a dip at the waist. Not caring, she searched for a shirt to put on to hide her depressing condition. Finding a tight black v-neck t-shirt for a woman, she slipped it on and looked for something to cover her feet. Realizing the Armoir contains the same clothing as from the one that Scott opened a hour before, she put the same socks on and same cowboy boots. Closing the doors, she went over to the vanity table to find a hair dryer and use it. Finding one in a drawer, she took it out and pulled her hair from the tie that Scott put it in and plugged the hair drier in, blow drying her hair until it was dry again. Once finished a minute later, she unplugged it and put it away, finding a feushia hairbrush and brushing it through the tangles. Once done, she brushed her three-foot long hair into a high pony-tail and took a minute to weave it in due to its length. She then put the brush down, got up, and went to check on Sab. She then noticed him standing with his back to her, screeching for some random reason. He then moved and his towel dropped. "Oops." Chevy muttered. Hearing her, Sab turned and ran for her.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 25: Chevy and Sab (continued)
She stood there as he charged, soon getting blown back. He fell on the floor as she had pushed him backward with her hands. He slid a few feet on his back on the rosewood, screeching up a storm. Chevy got her chance and ran for her backpack, getting out a bag of jerky as he got up. He got to her before she could actually get the bag out. Stumbling forward, Chevy fell and Sab rolled her to her back, getting ready for a bite. She managed to hold him up and strike him in self defense. He fell backward, screeching as she quickly got up and got the bag out of her backpack. She ripped it open with her teeth and teased him with a piece as he was only a foot away form her. He eyed the meat, eyes following it. He then opened his mouth, Chevy drawing it to him. He then gently bit down on it, beginning to eat it. She then waited until he was done to give him another. Just as it was to his lips, Sab took it and ate it himself, acting like a human all of a sudden. When he was done he asked, "What the heck happened?" Chevy went cold; she wasn't expecting to hear his voice so clear and crisp. "You're a zombie." She whispered, feeling ashamed. "What do you-?" He looked down at himself, noticing nude, rust-colored skin again. He cussed and put his head down, covering his face. "What happened. Tell me: how did I die again?" He asked with agony once he uncovered his face. "You're not dead, for one thing. Two: You... you got bit on the neck this time." She said quietly. Sab walked over to a window facing the beach and stared at his reflection; he looked as though he fell asleep in a tanning booth. He then looked away, fighting back tears. Chevy walked up to to him and wrapped her arms comfortingly around him, placing her face against his shoulder. Sab inhaled and exhaled deeply, calming down. He then turned and faced her, Chevy moving. He then asked," Where's my clothes?" She said, "I have no idea." She then said, "But I know where a dressing room is. Follow me." She said gently, gently taking his hand. He then just followed her, too ashamed to pull away. She led him to the room and closed the door, closing the blinds so he wouldn't get the feeling of people watching him. He then stood there as "Love Struck" wafted through the air. Chevy searched for an outfit for him as he stood there, feeling down. She then found an outfit just about exactly like hers, but manly. She then handed him the outfit and he slipped into it, feeling a little bit better. He then took a calming, deep breath and let it out. "How's Allison and Leviathan?" He asked after a minute. "I don't know. I haven't seen them since we were getting massaged." She answered sadly. Sab then turned for the door, opening it and going for the main door. He was just about to open it when it opened and Jeffry was standing there, holding the rifles. Sab stopped in his tracks and put his hands up. "Hands down, Sab." Jeffry, reassuring him. Sab raised his eyebrow and lowered his other, slowly putting his hands down. "Chevy, your rifles." Jeffry said to her as she approached. She reached out for them and took them, thanking him. "I didn't hurt you, did?" Sab asked Jeffry before he turned around. "No, Sab." He answered, facing the door. "Anyway, I'm sorry, though." He apologized. Jeffry turned around and said, "No one blames you." and left, closing the door behind him. Chevy placed the rifles by the door and turned around, facing her Lover as he was staring at the floor, feeling ashamed. She walked up to him and wrapped comforting arms around him, hoping to console him. He then looked into her eyes, the soft hazel in them their standard shade of caramel. His dark eyes were soft and shining, like he was lonely. Chevy find it hard to find the words to help soothe him, but none would come to mind. She just gently rubbed her finger tips up and down his back, pulling him into a consoling, warming hug. Sab sighed in defeat, feeling powerless to resist his life-state. He then rested his eyes over the muscle over-lapping the right side of Chevy's neck, letting out a hot huff. He then closed his eyes, absorbing her comfort. Chevy closed hers for a couple minutes before telling him it's time for bed. He lifted his head and nodded, feeling tired. "Maybe I'll feel better tomorrow." He whispered tiredly. She nodded in agreement and let go, gently taking his hand and leading him to the bedroom in which she found while searching for the dressing room.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 26: Allison and Leviathan
They were laughing strategically after walking out of the Relaxation Unit. Leviathan had told his therapist about the journey there while Allison told hers about the hardships. But somehow, she managed to walk out laughing like she was drunk. Leviathan sighed with pleasure as he led her to the room Chase recently chose for them. He found the door and opened it, revealing a burgundy-walled room with pine-sol wood flooring. There was a caramel colored wardrobe at the middle wall with a door leading to anther room next to it. At the foot of the bed was a chest with a seater on it, appearing to be waiting for someone to sit on it. Allison walked in first as Leviathan closed the door, readying for bed. Allison took a quick look out the window just in time to watch the stars glitter in the California sky, white diamonds scattered through a midnight blue blanket. Just as Leviathan was taking his shoes off, readying for bed, the door opened and Jeffry walked in, a bit sympathetic. "Good evening, Guys." He greeted gently. "Evening." Leviathan said, a bit tired. Allison turned around and waved. "Well, Guys,-" He began slowly. The teens were listening. "Your truck is cleaned and so are your rifles, but..." He began. "But?" Leviathan asked. "Sab is back to a zombie." Jeffry sighed. "How?" Allison asked worriedly. "He's been attacked by a zombie while helping our Paramilitary Zombie Killers." He explained. "Para-what?" Leviathan asked. "Paramilitary Zombie Killers." Jeffry repeated. "Where is he?" Allison suddenly demanded. "He's with Chevy. Please, don't worry about him." Jeffry answered politely as possible. Leviathan raised his eyebrow, but then nodded. Allison's eyes hardened a slight amount. "Please, Miss. Richardson. If you disturb him, he'll take longer to recover." Jeffry said gently. "Babe, they may be asleep now." Leviathan explained to support the reasoning. She huffed and took her shoes off, climbing in bed. Leviathan turned and looked at Jeffry, showing him sympathy. He then walked up close. "Sab's doing well right as it is. He's talking and acts like a human, but that don't mean." He said low once Allison was asleep. Leviathan nodded in agreement and stepped back, allowing Jeffry to go. Jeffry left and Leviathan turned the light off, soon going to bed. The next morning around ten, Leviathan had gotten up to ask about breakfast while Allison was just waking up. She opened her eyes and took the time to rub them, feeling the sleep disappear. When she at last stood up, she put her dress shoes on and went to brush her hair into a high ponytail. Once she did, she noticed her massage therapist Harvey walk in. The tanned man walked in with grace as his caramel hair was pulled back into a manly half-pony tail. Gold eyes peered softly at her as he asked her to join him on the seater. She nodded and did, aware he's looking for a Lover of his own. She sat next to him as he was holding a live rose, most likely figuring he was in his hopeless romantic state again. But instead of handing her the rose like she thought he would, he held it as he faced her. "What's wrong?" She asked gently. "It's about Sab, actually." He answered, feeling down for her friend. "Yeah, I know he's a zombie again." She said. "I went to check on Chevy and Sab earlier due to Chase, but Sab warned me off. So this means you're to stay away at all costs until he and Chevy show their faces." He said gently. "So this means I-" She began. "You cannot. It'll only take him longer to recover. Chase wants him to recover peacefully, rather than by force and others." He finished gently. Allison nodded, understanding. "If you want, you can help Stacie and Francesca with the place. I heard someone trashed the place just after everybody went to bed last night." He said gently. "Who are they?" She asked. "Floor therapists. They clean the place to expectations." He answered gently and persuasively. "I have nothing better to do, so I guess." She said, getting up. Harvey stood up and put the rose in a vase on a night stand with hibiscus and lily flowers. The vase already has soil in it, so why not? Allison walked out of her room and saw the two female floor therapists sweeping their way to their dressing room. "Just follow them." Harvey said gently. She nodded and followed them. "You're new." Stacie said politely as Allison got to her side. "My first time." She agreed, feeling at ease already. "You see all the junk and stuff out there?" Francesca asked like a snob. "Yeah. Who did that?" Allison asked. "The Clara Madicia Guest. He's the worst man here, but no one knows how or when he got here. Heck, on one knows his name nor age." Stacie said as she was looking at the ground. "All we know is that he wears women's clothes, eats mustard on a daily basis, in which I caught him eating some in the cleansing unit and for some reason: my room. He also makes messes everywhere, yells when he finds himself in an, I guess, unfamiliar room, and walks around in his underwear." Francesca said, a bit irritably. "What's he eat?" Allison asked, going down a hall with them. "Mustard." Stacie said slowly. "He got so mad a couple days before you and your friends that he threw a handful at a plant." Francesca said slowly. "Enrique watched and I watched him back away slowly." Stacie said as Francesca soon opened a door. 'Except the mustard went out an open door after Angelo opened it, and nailing another guest on the back of his head. The guest eventually fell on another one." Francesca added, opening the door. The three women walked in and Stacie pointed Allison her wardrobe. Since the other two were wearing pink, she put on the same colors and shoes; low-rise converse. They redid their hair and used "White Rain" hairspray to keep it in place. The women then walked out, going to the lobby to clean it up. While doing so, they heard a man start to randomly yell over nothing. "Who the heck was that?" Allison asked oddly. "The Clara Madicia Guest." Francesca said gently, knowing she was unfamiliar with the crazy man. "He once woke up during the middle of the night to go for a swim in someone's bathtub. We're not sure of his problem, but he's been a nuisance." Stacie said like she was getting a man's voice. "Whoever owned that bathroom threw a fit worse than he did, especially since he left both doors open." Francesca said, half-laughing. She then stopped. Once they hit the lobby, they saw a man with florescent green hair with it standing in the air and curved like a candy-cane. He was horsing around like a child and knocking things down. He then jumped back like he saw something and then went to give a man in a guard's uniform a noogie. In defense, the man threw him off, the fat man sliding backward. He then got up and ran for someone's room, leaving the door open. Allison could have swore she heard the man by the front doors cuss as he stood there, mint-green eyes an irritated shade of green. Stacie and Francesca groaned in irritation as they went to clean up the strange man's mess. Allison joined and began to clean up while the man began to yell all of a sudden. The owner of the room began to yell at him to get out, but the guy most likely ran into a wall on his way out. He continued to yell even as he managed to run out, acting like his ADHD's is just about infinity beyond max. Allison jumped out of his way as the man ran through the Relaxation Unit with what looks like to Allison a tub of mustard. People were yelling at him as he ran into the cleansing unit. Leviathan was in there, stocking shelves with body creams. He had his arm sticking out and the guy ran into it, throwing the bottle out of his hand. It hit Chase on the shoulder as he was just turning around. The man ran into the cleansing unit, not coming out. "Chase, I am sorry." Leviathan quickly apologized. "Levy, it's fine." He said, rubbing his shoulder. He bent down and picked up the bottle, walking up to give it back to Leviathan. "You sure you're okay, Boss?" Leviathan asked. "Oh, yeah. Just an "engine-knocker"." He said metaphorically. Leviathan knew what he meant, but just went with it. He then heard the man in the cleansing unit throwing a fit as he was eating mustard. Chase stood there with his eyes closed, acting like he's in pain. He then sighed and said, "If you need me, just forget it." "Go lie down, Boss. It don't matter if you just woke up five minutes ago." Leviathan said gently. Chase grinned and then smirked, knowing he was only trying to help. "In eighteen hours." He said, leaving the Relaxation Unit. Leviathan sighed and continued to handle his duty as Enrique and Angelo handled dressing rooms and beds. After awhile of cleaning and straightening, Stacie began to smell something horrid as she was bent down. Realizing it was moldy cheese, she growled and picked it up, quickly throwing it away. Just then, strange noises came from upstairs. "The-" Francesca all of a sudden asked.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 27: Chevy and Sab
He was yelling after he got blinded by the morning sun; cussing and knocking down a lamp. Chevy chuckled and went to his aid, calming him down. "Ow." Sab said loudly. "You goose." She teased, gently kissing him. She then pulled away to go brush her hair. After she did, she heard him open the door and take off. Like a bullet, Chevy was on his tail. He was laughing as he was running down the steps, getting to the public. Chevy caught up, but his speed increased and he was soon running through hallways and going down steps. He then stopped, Chevy running into him. They went sliding several feet forward as guests were walking through the Mission, enjoying their morning. They then stopped after twenty feet, Chevy pulling Sab to his feet. She held on to him as others were wondering, "What the heck?" "You know you can't be out yet." She reminded gently. Sab grinned, wanting to bring it on. She grinned back as she was going with it. They then began to walk naturally, acting like Sab wasn't supposed to be in care. Once they arrived to the last stair case, Stacie looked up and yelled, "ZOMBIE!" "SHUT UP!" Leviathan yelled. Then the unknown guest went off, running into the man by the front doors. "Who the-?" Sab cussed with a squeak to his voice.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 28: All four
Most of the guests began to laugh at his question, Sab laughing to go with it. The fat man with green hair got up and ran to the Southern Wing, slipping along the way; there was mustard on the floor. "What'd he do? Throw mustard on the floor and forget about it?" Chevy asked, walking down with her Love. "He's, you don't want to know." Francesca said, wiping off pictures. She nodded slowly as Sab stood there, sniffing the air. He then crossed and narrowed his eyes, sticking his tongue out. A couple people laughed as Chevy chuckled. Sab then corrected himself and stood there as Chase walked up, wondering what's the issue now. He then looked at Sab, smiling. "Sab... how are you?" He asked, going up to him. "Good. Just wondering what the heck that noise is." He said, sounding like he's about to sneeze. Thankfully he didn't. "Eh, don't worry about that guy. He's been acting like that ever since he got here, but who knows when." Chase said gently. "Got it." Sab said. "HEY, SCOTT! JESSIE AND COURTNEY! GET OVER HERE!" Chase called to his therapists. They came racing over, but Courtney stopped in her tracks as Jessie walked up to Sab, giving him a gentle hug. "I'm surprised you want to touch me." He said gently to her. "I heard what happened to you. I'm sorry you're back to this horrid state, but I want to show you respect." She explained gently, not wanting to trigger his zombie habit. He nodded, understanding. Courtney stood there as Scott stood there, his sunset eyes a nervous shade of green. Shaking his head, he walked up to Sab and politely greeted him, hoping the zombie-teen is doing alright. "Yeah, I'm fine." He said, peace in his voice. He smiled and got to Chevy's side. "Courtney, go back to duty." Chase said, not up to having Sab getting cranky in front of everyone. She nodded and went back to the Relaxation Unit, nearly getting plowed over by the unknown guest. Sab growled, but only in his wit. Chevy held his arm protectively. "Go take of these two, please." Chase said gently to his therapists. They nodded as Francesca went upstairs. "C'mon, Guys." Scott said gently to the teens. They nodded and followed them. Allison and Leviathan met up and went to help their leaders clean up the spilled and splattered mustard off of things and the floor as Chevy and Sab went for massages. As they changed into massaging clothing, their massage therapists got the oils set up as they got ready. Once they were, Scott had Chevy lie down while Jessie told Sab to sit. He did and she adjusted the torso shirt he was wearing until only his back showing. She then grabbed the bottle of body oil and got some on her hand, passing it to Scott. He accepted it and got some before putting it down. As they massaged their clients, Chase came in and asked in Jessie's ear, "How is he?" "He's fine but his back muscles are stiff. But I don't think he noticed." She whispered, gently digging her fingers. Sab groaned, feeling tense pain go away. He nodded and then asked Chevy, "Has he eaten anything yet?" "Not yet. He'll go into a mode when he's ready." She answered, feeling the stress going away. "When?" "I'm not sure. But it's best to wait and find out. Otherwise he'll get irritated for being forced." She said gently, then closing her eyes again. Chase nodded and walked by Scott, going to check on the cleansing unit, hoping the unknown guest isn't in there. He eventually caught him eating mustard with the shower running. "Will you just cut it with the mustard, you idiot?" He asked irritated. The man stared and screamed, not realizing Chase had walked in. Chase covered his eyes and growled, wondering when the guy will leave. He quit screaming once Chase walked out, mustard landing on the floor with a splat. After Allison and Leviathan were done cleaning the Southern Wing with their leaders, they followed them into a different wing to continue to clean mustard and dust off walls. "Dang, this guy can eat mustard." Leviathan said with disgust. "We put him in the basement with his own bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and living room. Freaked out for nothing." Enrique said as he led the way. Leviathan raised his eyebrow in frustration as he followed. Back in the Relaxation Unit, Sab was having a difficulty holding down his zombie-side. Jessie could feel his muscles tensing and skin getting hot. "Sab, are you alright?" She asked gently. Sab turned and faced her, his eyes appearing angry. She stepped back as he fought. "FRANCESCA!" She called as Sab was rising to his feet. She appeared in a hurry, ripping open a bag of Chevy's beef jerky, quickly handing him the bag. He calmed down instantly and accepted the bag, gently taking it away from her. He then began to peacefully eat as Scott and Chevy watched, making sure he was calmer. He then waved them off, they returning to their work. Chase had heard Jessie call for Francesca, so he arrived to the scene, but didn't bother to ask what happened; he already knew. He then stood by the doorway, watching the cleansing unit door. The man in there began to throw a fit, soon running for the door. Chase muttered something under his breath and turned away, watching his guard by the door. Then soon enough, Scott informed Chevy that he had to go help someone as promised and another therapist will be with her. She nodded as another man came up, appearing extremely familiar to her. "Hello, Miss. I'm Chase and I'll take over." He said politely, getting the oil and getting some on his hand. "Another Chase?" She asked politely. "I'm Chase Skurtz, though." He said, gently putting his hands to her back. She replayed his name in her mind several times as he massaged her back, then deciding to not bother. When Sab decided he was done a half-hour later, Chevy thanked Skurtz and he released her, letting her change. Sab went to and they met up a couple minutes later. While standing there chatting about the unknown guest, a young man stepped in. He was shorter than Sab, but older than Chevy. "Afternoon, Chase." He said with a French accent. "Good afternoon, Pierre. You enjoy your night shift?" Chase asked, brightened. "T'was alright. Saw nothing but parakeets and monkeys." Pierre answered, French accent being heard. "S'up, Peter?" Scott asked smoothly. "Hey, it's Pierre. That guy over there is Peter." Pierre sneered, pointing at the man by the door. "Yeah, we know who he is. Peter's a Security Guard." Skurtz said a bit defensively. "Probably doesn't know his name is Pierre in French." Chase joked quietly. "I DO SO!" Peter called. "Pierre, go take his spot for awhile. He needs to tour these teens for awhile." Chase said. "Aye." He said, going over to Peter. Peter turned and eyed him, his eyes currently an irritated light green. "What?" He asked, using his "on-duty" voice. "I'm here to take your position." He said slowly. "Aye." Peter said, using his regular voice. "Just don't talk behind my back." He growled deeply, soon walking away. "You needed me, Boss?" He asked Chase. "Yes. I want you to tour the teens around this place, let them get to know the place." He said. "What teens?" He asked, a bit confused. "Chevy is standing next to Scott while Sab's the red kid standing to her right." He said, pointing them out. "Hey, I'm burgundy." Sab sneered. Chase and Peter eyed him, not expecting that. Peter then nodded and went to claim them, bowing to Chevy in the process. "Sorry you haven't seen my handsome face yesterday. I was in place of Pierre by five." He joked, standing up right. Chevy chuckled nervously. "My friends and I arrived by seven, so no wonder." She agreed. Peter then eyed Sab, wondering why he looks the way he is. "I'm a zombie, if you ask." He explained. Peter reached for his gun-belt, preparing for protection. Chevy then placed her hands over his collarbones, preparing to push him back. "You pull that out, you'll get the Bulldog I once was." She warned, not afraid of the 6'7 Security Guard. Peter eyed her, a bit shocked. He then pulled his hand away, doing as told. "I sure would've wanted to see that.' Chase said as he stood there. Chevy ignored him as her eyes were only focused through Peter's. He then stepped back, she letting him go. "I apologize. I'm used to the Game Commission style." He apologized truthfully. Sab nodded, forgiving him. "Come then." Peter said, walking out of the Relaxation Unit. The teens began to follow him. As the floor therapists finished cleaning another wing, Stacie caught the smell of an even worse odor than moldy cheese; it smelled like death. She walked toward the direction she smelled it from and learned it was coming from the Southern Wing. Allison followed her. "What is it?" She asked, concerned. "I smell something horrid." She said, covering her face. Allison took a few seconds until she could smell it. She then gagged. "Oh, gosh." She moaned, wanting to hurl. Stacie nodded in agreement, but continued on. As they were tracking down the odor, the unknown guest suddenly ran by, tripping over his foot and landing on his face. Allison rolled her eyes and continued on with Stacie until they arrived to the farthest room. Stacie arrived to it and slowly opened it, peering through the crack with her right eyes. "You see anything?" Allison asked low. She shook her head. "Nope. All I see is guests in the night club." She answered, closing the door. Allison rubbed her forehead for a moment before going over to the door to Stacie's right. She slowly opened the door, revealing hissing and vomiting zombies. Stacie turned around and screamed, knocking over her mop bucket. Water fell out, but she grabbed it and her mop dragged, water spreading. Allison screamed and followed her teammate, guests going into a panic. The zombies rushed out and slipped before getting up and running. Peter, Chevy, and Sab turned that way and noticed, Peter going into cop-mode. He pulled his handgun out and ran, aiming his pistol at the zombies. They noticed the well-built man and ran for him, soon getting exterminated by him. He took six out with two cartridges, two bullets per zombie. He threw out the duds and reloaded. Sab ran and yelled at the zombies in the zombie language, arguments going back and forth. Eventually, Peter reached out and grabbed him by the back of his shirt, throwing him back. The teen slid several feet behind Chevy as she approached. He then got up, gagging as he did so. He then charged at the three remaining zombies, plowing them backward until they were against the far wall. Balling his hand into a fist, he began to punch them senseless as blood squirted. Two of them he threw back behind while holding the throat of another, brutally using force on the third. The zombie tried to get his hand off, but Sab's human strength made the zombie's no match. He then threw the zombie, it flying and crashing into the others as they were getting up. All three then went flying through an opening that Peter, Chevy, and other guests made. They watched as the zombies went flying, taking the unknown guest with them. He did a roll and the zombies went further back, going out an open door. Peter then ran for the teens to get away from the area. Sab roared and scared everyone, including Chevy herself. Peter was still holding his handgun. Sab then stopped and stomped off in anger, fiery in the evil of his dark eyes. He then claimed Chevy and they went to their room, Peter called to protect them. Then Chase put his fingers on his temples, frustrated. "How the-?" He couldn't finish. Scott, Skurtz, Pierre, and Jason walked up, standing next to their boss. "How did they get in here?" He asked quietly. "I have no idea." The three men answered truthfully. Then Jessie and Courtney ran out of the Relaxation Unit, wondering what happened since they stayed there for safety. "I mean, Rainsford and Lucky were out all night, including Klaus, Clyde, and Sandra." He said with a sigh. "Four men and one woman and all we get are freaks. Nice." Pierre sneered, but not sarcastically. "The Mission's double-bricked. How the heck?" Scott asked, now confused. "There's no way they could've gotten in here." Skurtz said. "Unless a door was left open." He then said slowly. They turned and looked over at the unknown guest as he was eating mustard out of the tub recommended for mustard. They then looked away, knowing staring for too long will set him off again. They then faced the other direction, sighing. "I'll send more back-up tonight." Chase said low. His employees nodded. He then called his Paramilitary Zombies on duty again, except less heavy footsteps.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 29: Chevy and Sab
She stood by the window, rubbing her finger along the window sill. Sab was in the bathroom, taking a shower. Chevy watched the ocean flow as the waves crashed against the rocks near the sandy banks along the far side of the coast, peace and tranquility. Just then, the door opened and Peter was standing there, looking pretty pissed. "I didn't do anything wrong, did I?" Chevy asked innocently. He shook his head. "Did Sab?" He shook his head. "No, he protected a lot of the guests, actually. But because of me: most guests cannot be in their rooms due to the blood everywhere." He explained, his mood easing. "Why are you up here?" Chevy asked politely. "Chase said for me to protect you guys, but I'm not sure why." He said. "How's Allison and Leviathan?" "Well actually. Chase has them in the Relaxation Unit until things get situated." He explained, walking up to the window. Chevy took a step back, giving him room. He then opened the window, the tropical air coming in. He then closely examined the world below seven stories, watching carefully. He squinted slightly as he could see the Paramilitary Zombie Killers going to exterminate the zombies. Chevy sighed and eyed her rifle, going for it. She then opened her backpack and took out bags of jerky until she found her ammunition stash. She then reloaded the powerful rifle as Peter watched, wondering what she's doing. "You know you can't go out there." He said protectively. "I'm going to the window." She said, going to it and aiming the rifle. She then dropped a couple zombies with one rifle. She noticed Zombie Killer Sebastian look up and eye her, wondering why she's firing. She only have a thumbs-up before dropping another set of zombies. Peter shrugged and joined, firing with his Knight-hawk. As he was, Sabastian returned from his shower fully dressed with his hair spiked forward. He gave Peter a slight glare before realizing he was there to protect him and Chevy. "What are you guys doing?" He asked, watching the other zombies go down. "Giving the men a hand." Peter said rather gently, hoping to not trigger Sab's zombie side already. He nodded slowly before going to get his rifle and ammunition. Once he claimed it and got his ammunition prepared, he reloaded his weapon and went to the bedroom. He was then in position. Peter cleared his clip and got up, Chevy stopping him. "Peter, if you happen to run out of ammunition, there's a rifle room down the hall along the left five doors down." She said. "Thanks." He said, not expecting that. He then pulled a device from his gun-belt and handed it to her. "What is it?" She asked, examining it. "Walkie-talkie. You may need it for communicating with us." He said, soon going back the hall to give Sab one. She nodded and gently set it on a stand just next to her left, getting back to work. As she reloaded, Paramilitary Zombie Killer Erik was being surrounded by zombies. He had no choice but to swing his rifle to get clearance of reloading safely. The zombies went backward several feet as they had blows to the head from his heavy rifle. Just as he was firing at the zombies in front of him, a zombie began to dine on flesh showing on the back of his neck. He screamed from the pain and dropped his rifle, thrashing to get the creature off. Luckily, his team member Sebastian was near by. He heard his cries and ran for him, taking out his knives and stabbing the zombies, two at a time. They fell to the ground as Erik was too, weak and unable to get up. He was bleeding from the back of his neck. Sebastian put away his tainted knives and grabbed his rifle, exterminating more zombies before they could get to his downed teammate. He growled and soon had a zombie somehow bite him on the neck. He held the pain in and threw the zombie off, his neck bleeding too, but minor. He then exterminated it with Erik's rifle. Kneeling down, he picked his severely wounded teammate up and ran for the Mission as Jeffry was watching. He watched as Sebastian ran up the cobblestone driveway, making it safely there under a minute. As ammunition took out the other zombies, the door opened and Chevy aimed her rifle, suddenly lowering it; it was only Chase. He was holding an automatic magnum in his hand. She then stood up and placed her rifle on the floor, getting his attention. "Is there a problem, Chase?" she asked innocently. "I was wondering where all the gunshots were coming from." He said with honesty. She nodded. "But I just heard that Erik has been severely injured by a zombie while Sebastian has a minor injury." He said sadly. "How's Erik then?" I can't say he's going to make it. I've seen his wound and it's bad enough for him to become a zombie." He said quietly. "Sebastian?" "He's strong as an ox and is taking everything well. But I cannot say for sure he'll stay human long." He said with pure truth. Chevy's eyes turned to a sad green that will turn into a dark turquoise in a couple minutes. She then began to fight tears, although none of this was her fault. Chase felt her pain. She then walked up to him and gave him a hug, feeling like a loner all of a sudden. He gently pat her back in response as he tried to figure out what to say. Deciding to keep his mouth closed, he placed his chin on her head as she refused to let go, thinking she's right now hugging Sabastian to feel comfort. After a minute, she said, "I want to take their places." Chase's eyes turned a bright shade of green, green like the August birthstone.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 30: SuperGirl: Chevy
The sand was kicked as her spiceberry boots dug into the sand; she's now a Paramilitary Zombie Killer herself, but in substitute for Erik and Sebastian. She aimed Sebastian's rifle and fired, downing several zombies as they were approaching the attractive colored suit. She growled at them as she dropped more, feeling like the woman of the beach. Paramilitary Zombie Killer Chris and Samson jogged up, giving her a hand. She turned around while not firing and told them to get back. They shook their heads and downed more while she wasn't looking. Samson got closer, but suddenly tripped over a pile of dead zombies. He cussed and got back up, blood on his suit. Chevy turned around and downed more zombies before closing her eyes and reloading Sebastian's rifle. She then threw the bullet chain, catching a zombie around the neck and instantly beheading it. She then opened angered caramel eyes, spooking Chris and Samson with her technique. From above in the safe-room where Peter and Sab were, they realized she was down there fighting off the zombies, thinking she's crazy. But since they knew two men dropped out, she was doing them a favor. After several minutes of firing at the zombies, Chevy slung Sebastian's rifle over her shoulder and pulled out his knives as Sebastian himself also made her use those. She then charged for the zombies, stabbing them until her shoulder muscles burned. Her heart pounded as she was pissed; she was the Queen of the beach, not the zombies. One tall zombie trudged up to her, nearly seven feet tall. She threw the knife and struck the zombie in the forehead, the creature screeching before becoming deceased. She then walked up to it and pulled the knife loose, the zombie's head falling down limp. Like it was a samari sword, she began to swing them at the zombies as a pile formed, Chris stepping in to help her. Severed zombies lay about, headless or slit. He swung his samari sword at several of them, they becoming distracted by the glistening metal. Chevy stabbed multiple amounts until the big hosses came in. As she knew there was a huge wall of bodies in front of her, she pulled a grenade from her belt and stepped back, Chris eyeing her. She then motioned for him to do the same. He did and they began to take off running once she pulled the clip and threw it just over the pile and into the crowd of big hosses. Within fifty feet head, Chevy and Chris dived as the grenade went off, sending tainted body parts strewn across the beach. Several heavy parts went in, Chris landing on her to give her more cover from the heavy ones. Tainted blood soon heavily rained down after a few seconds of lift-off into the air. The other Zombie Killers went farther back as they rained upon, but not harmed by tainted body parts. Chris refused to get off once he knew it was safe. And when it was once the blood stopped "raining", he go up and pulled Chevy to her feet, they slapping the tainted blood off of each other. "Thank you." She said quietly, hoping he's not hurt. "No problem." He said, walking with her. "Anyone alright?" Chevy hollered. "Yeah. Just have zombie-" Jack cussed. "-on us." he finished. Andrew managed a polite smile that no one could see but himself; he was proud of the nineteen year old. "You sure you weren't in any Army branch?" He asked as they walked up the cobblestone driveway. "No, sir. I haven't." She answered. Kendrick swung his rifle over his shoulder, adjusting his posture. Once they arrived to the front doors, Jeffry got to them and began to help them remove their contaminated suits and to the cleansing unit. While there during the cleansing and male cleansers not caring Chevy was part of the Zombie Killer team for now, Chase and Sebastian came in while the seven others were being cleansed by seven male cleanses at once. "I'm surprised they let you over here." Chase chuckled as Nathan was scrubbing Chevy down. "It don't matter. She fought like us." Kendrick said as Andrew was having his war paint scrubbed off. "I saw your fighting, Child. It was awesome." Sebastian said to Chevy, very loopy and very tired; he was losing his senses. Chase held onto his arm as he became sympathetic. The other seven noticed and waited. "Erik has passed away and was put down respectfully. He's now with all of you." He said with sympathy. The six affected tried to hold back tears, but they felt it was hard to. Chris and Chevy tried to stay strong, but they let the tears go at their own pace as the other four broke down. The cleansers gave off sympathy through comfort for Chase and Sebastian. Not caring about their appearances, Chris pulled Chevy into his arms as they wept. There could never be as much tragedy as this.
They Dangerous Journey: Chapter 31: Chevy and Sab
The following night the same day, Sab was standing by the window, watching the stars. He had just got done talking to Allison and Leviathan through texting. They're perfectly fine and hope he and Chevy are doing alright. He replied they are and Chevy is said to be the baddest woman at Clara Madicia. The other two had heard about what had happened and gave Chase their best respects. As Sab watched the night sky, Chevy walked over to him and wrapped her arms around him, gently kissing his cheek. He turned and faced her, gently kissing her. "I saw what you did out there earlier." He teased playfully with a low, warm voice. Chevy chuckled and kept kissing him until their opened. Chase stepped in and chuckled, not expecting to see that. "Hey, you two calm down now." He teased as they eyed each other. "It's our eyes that do it." Chevy said as Sab's glittered. Chase chuckled. "Well, thanks to your grenade, the beach is going to take days to clean up." He teased as she continued to eye her Love. "I know." She agreed. Then Chase said, "Sebastian's going to be okay as is for now. He's in an isolation unit until tomorrow for a precaution." He said, sounding relieved. Chevy looked at Chase and smiled, glad to hear. "I wish I could've done more to help." She said, now sounding a bit heartbroken. "Hey, it's not your fault. He'd be dead if you weren't up here firing like you were earlier." He said. "Hell, your Sabastian would be dead if it weren't for you." He said, cheering her up. Chevy managed another smile, feeling the comfort. "You always have to be the star of everything, huh?" Sabastian teased. She chuckled and gently kissed him again. "Hey, you two keep out of trouble now." Chase chuckled, soon leaving. Once the door closed, wild passions ignited between the two.
The Dangerous Journey: Chapter 32: All four
Several months later while Allison was eight months pregnant, going on nine the next day, Chase called the four teens into a late-night meeting around ten at night after most of the employees went to bed for the night. He then began to praise them on their work while helping with Clara Madicia. They nodded and thanked him as he continued to explain things and praise them. Before he was finished and dismissed them, he offered that if they want, they can leave. "You don't have to stay here, unless you want to. I'm not forcing you. This is your decision." He said gently. The teens nodded, understanding. "We're going to have to think about it." Leviathan admitted. Allison grabbed his arm, agreeing with him. "It's not safe for me to be out there for the sake of my condition." Sabastian admitted, knowing being on the streets in his condition would put him in harm's way. Chevy agreed with him. "It's nice here too. A few miles across the ocean is an island I heard of. People go there since there's no zombies there." Chase said, giving advice. "Nah. I'd rather stay here." Sab said, having a slight laugh. Chevy nodded as Allison and Leviathan discussed silently to each other. Chase nodded and dismissed them so they could decide privately. "Night, Guys." Scott said, going to his room. The remaining five nodded and the teens retreated to their rooms, Chase retreating to his. As the days went by at their own pace, the four teens continued to make up their minds about whether or not they wanted to stay. Chevy and Sab agreed to three days later while Allison and Leviathan continued to discuss. But however on Friday afternoon, they finally found their decision and let Chase know they were leaving. "That's perfectly fine. I know guests must move on and find their ways, but you all take care and stay safe." He said as they listened. They both nodded. "Just remember that you both are always welcome here." He added before they went to pack up. "Thank you, Chase." Allison said gently. He nodded and she followed Leviathan to their room. Meanwhile later on that night as Chevy and Sab were finishing up in the Relaxation Unit, they heard the doors open and ran to see if anyone was coming. Realizing their friends were leaving, they caught up them and stopped them. "Where you going?" Chevy called. "Los Angeles." Leviathan answered, getting his keys from a late-night employee. Allison stood there, the moonlight cascading her figure. "Well, let's give you something before you go." Chevy said, walking up to Leviathan. She gave him a hug before going to give Allison one. She let him go and walked up to Allison, giving her a gentle, good-bye hug. "Take care, Chevy." She said, letting go. "We will." Chevy promised as Sab gave Leviathan a brotherly hug. "You stay safe, Man." He said to him. "Thanks, Man. You too." Sab said, stepping back and giving Allison a hug. Once he let go, Chevy went back to hug Allison again before telling her a secret. Allison's eyes turned a playful black as she smirked, knowing it would happen. Chevy then took a step back and joined Sab as their friends got in their Dodge and left.
Their children were acting crazy as they were hyper from eating oranges. Sab tried to get a hold of his son, but had no luck. Chevy managed to get a hold of her daughter before she got any further. "Here, I got them." Jessie offered, holding her arms out for Chevy's daughter, Scott. "Thanks, Jess." She said, handing her to her. "Hi." Jessie said playfully, dancing with Chevy's daughter. She only eyed her, giving her the "Sab" look; she inherited her father's odd mood, but mother's eyes. Sab managed to get his son, Nickleback, before he knocked down a shelf of body oils. "Here, take him." He said, quickly handing Jessie his son. "You're a naughty fella." She teased, staring at the zombie-ish son of Sabastian. He stared, looking wild in his dark green eyes as they're inherited by his mother's hazel ones. Just then, the doors opened again and there were voices. Chevy and Sab ran to greet the guests. "Well, long time no see." Chevy teased, hands on her hips. "Right back at us." Leviathan teased; he and Allison returned with their two kids.
End of Zombie Apocalypse: Dangerous Journey
