Small Dorms[]
These dormitories have between 5 and 8 rooms, and can be fully occupied by a playable household.
5 Rooms[]
This is a single-story dorm with five rooms. Two rooms have a dresser, two have a desk, and one has a small floor stereo. There are two small bathrooms, one for men and one for women, which can only be used by one Sim at a time. The cafeteria has two islands, two tables, and four chairs. There is a common room with a free-standing fireplace, an easel, a bookshelf, and a computer. There is a mini-fridge near the common room. There is also a chess table and a small floor stereo outside of the bedrooms.
The Oasis Dormitory at La Fiesta Tech is an example of this dorm.
6 Rooms[]
This is a two-story dorm with two rooms on the first floor and four on the second. Two rooms have a desk, two have a dresser, and two have a computer. There are three small bathrooms, one on the first floor and two on the second. The bathrooms are available to both genders, but are too small to be used by more than one Sim at a time.
The dorm's cafeteria is in the right-hand wing of the first floor, and has four tables, eight chairs, and three islands. There is a microwave oven in the cafeteria. There is also a chess table on the first floor. The dorm's lounge area is on the second floor, and is laid out around the central stairway. It has an easel, a small floor stereo, a bookshelf, a computer, a television, an arcade game and a mini-fridge.
The Lam Plaza Dormitory in Académie Le Tour is an example of this dorm.

8 Rooms[]
There are two eight-room dormitories in the bin.
Two story[]
This dorm has four rooms on each floor, for a total of eight. Three rooms have a desk, three have a dresser, and one room on each floor has a computer. The entrance area on the first floor has a computer, a small floor stereo, and some seating. The cafeteria takes up most of the first floor, and has four tables, eight chairs, and four islands. The cafeteria are also has a microwave oven, a coffeemaker and espresso machine, and a mini-fridge.
The second floor has two communal bathrooms, one for men and one for women, and each bathroom has a shower area. There is a free-standing fireplace, a television, a small floor stereo, a bookshelf, a dartboard, and an arcade game. There is an easel on the outside deck. There is an Astrowonder telescope outside of the dorm.
This is a common design, and all three pre-made colleges have a dorm which uses it.
One story[]
This single-story dorm has eight rooms laid out in an inverted-L pattern. Two rooms have a desk, and two have a dresser. There is a single bathroom with two stalls, and a small shower room for each gender. The cafeteria has three tables, six chairs, and three islands. It also has a free-standing fireplace.
There is a common room with a desk, a computer, and a television. There is a chess table in the hall near the common room and an arcade game at the opposite end of that hall. There are two small floor stereos, an easel, bookshelf, and a mini-fridge.
It does not appear that any pre-made colleges use this dormitory.
Medium Dorms[]
9 Rooms[]
This is a single-story dorm with nine rooms. Four rooms have a desk, four have a dresser, and one has a computer. The space is organized into two wings, with the rooms mostly along the left-hand wall. Most of the front wing is taken up by the cafeteria, which has two Myne cafeteria tables, each of which has six chairs, and a small table with two chairs. The cafeteria has four islands. The space between the wings has two small tables, each of which has two chairs.
The other wing has a communal bathroom and shower area for each gender. It has study room with a bookshelf, a sofa, a table with four chairs, and an easel. There is a chess table near this room. This wing also has a computer, a television, and another bookshelf. An alcove at the end of this wing has an arcade game and a mini-fridge. Each wing has a small floor stereo.
All three pre-made colleges have a dorm which use this basic plan.
