Allegra Gorey is a Sim State University student residing in the Bright Household with housemates Jane Stacks and Martin Ruben. She is a freshman Art major. She has an unrequited crush on Castor Nova, though she has no gender preference at the start of the game.
Allegra is said to be a "bleeding heart romantic, but you wouldn't get that from looking at her." She dislikes the Tri-Var Sorority household on principle. Exactly what that means is not explained, though it could mean she has a grudge against sororities in general.
Allegra is shy, serious and active. She has a number of strong interests: politics, health, travel, weather, the environment, and the paranormal. She does not enjoy talking about sports, fashion, toys, or sci-fi.
Even though Allegra is in her first semester of the Freshman year, her average is 0, which is impossible because she hasn't gone through her final exam. Normally, the GPA for first-semester Freshmen is blank. This happens with her roommate Martin as well.
Her last name may be a reference to the writer and illustrator Edward Gorey. "Allegro" is a musical direction calling for a brisk, lively tempo, and means "cheerful" in Italian. "Allegra" is the feminine form.
Additionally, some players think her name may be a play on the word "allegory", which means "a representation of an abstract or spiritual meaning through concrete or material forms," or even on Al Gore. If she becomes pregnant after becoming an adult, her hairstyle will be different while the pregnancy is visible.
