| The Bedlingtons are just the sort of new money the residents of Appaloosa Plains frown upon, having come to live in the country with no real respect for the land. Bertram is rarely seen out of his tweed button down vest, with Buckley close at his heels. Along with his wife Patricia, they love the beautiful outdoor vistas found along the river's edge, but as they enter the twilight of their lives they care little for any manner of preservation. Were their eyesight better they may notice the angry glares of neighbors as they zip down the driveway in their gas guzzler, even if it's doubtful they'd give someone else's considerations a second thought. | |

The Bedlington family is a pre-made family that lives in the neighborhood Appaloosa Plains. The family consists of Bertram Bedlington, his wife Patricia Bedlington and their dog Buckley Bedlington. Bertram and Patricia have moved into Appaloosa Plains and are new money in town as well as proclaimed snobs: they moved there to take advantage of the vibrant local environment, however their careless attitudes towards their surroundings and their self-entitled personalities have earned them the enmity of the locals who have lived in the town for a long time. When first played, Patricia is pregnant with their first born.
Bertram's mother Gloria Bedlington is a homeless Sim roaming around town doing odd jobs.
Their name is referencing to a breed of dog of the terrier family.
