A dartboard was originally added as an official download for players with The Sims: Hot Date and was included in later expansion packs. Dartboards returned in The Sims 2, The Sims 3: Late Night, and The Sims 4: Get Together.

After the release of Hot Date, The Triple Bull Dartboard was added as a recreational object that could be placed on community lots. It was included in later expansion packs, and can be placed on community lots in all sub-neighborhoods. However, it was never made available for purchase on residential lots.
The Urbz: Sims in the City[]
A dartboard is present in Gasoline Row's VIP section. It costs §20 to use the dartboard.

The dartboard returns in The Sims 2 and is again a fun object. Two Sims can play at a time, and they will chat with each other whilst playing. The playing Sim will throw three darts and will react differently depending on their accuracy. If playing with another Sim, the Sim that is not playing will stand off to the side, and may cheer or boo the playing, Sim. Once all three darts have been thrown, the playing Sim will collect the darts, tally their score, move back and start again. If they are playing with another Sim, they will move off to the side, and the other Sim plays.
Sims can also "cheat" at the game if they are playing with another Sim. The playing Sim will throw one dart and then distract their partner, causing them to look away. Whilst distracted, the cheater will move up to the dartboard and quickly "bulls-eye" their remaining darts. If the Sim is caught, the Sim who caught the cheater will lose relationship points with them; if not, nothing negative happens, and the Sim who got tricked will act confused and dumbfounded as the cheater boasts about their victory.
Unlike other games, children can use the dartboard, but they cannot cheat with it. They can still be cheated on if they are playing with older Sims.
If FreeTime is installed, the dartboard will raise enthusiasm for the games hobby.
The Sims 3: Late Night[]
In The Sims 3: Late Night, dartboards allow Sims to raise the hidden darts skill. There are two dartboards available in buy mode.
Interestingly, dartboards can be placed on windowed walls, and not just regular walls.

The Sims 4: Get Together[]
Dartboards were reintroduced in The Sims 4: Get Together. Like in previous games, Sims can either practice on their own or play with other Sims. Dartboards can be found in pubs around Windenburg.
