Hank Ferdinand is a pre-made deceased Sim in Riverview. He was an acclaimed artist. He was the mentor of Billy Caspian. Hank was more than willing to mentor Billy, before he recently disappeared. Billy seems somewhat lost and is trying to become the artist that Hank used to be. He is buried in the Old Town Cemetery in Riverview. Not much is known about him, since he is deceased at the start of the game. It is possible that Roughhewn, a small but expensive home owned by Billy, previously belonged to Hank. Contrary to his description, Hank does not have any skill points in painting. This is most likely an oversight by the developers, as the most of pre-made deceased Sims start with no skills.
Hank Ferdinand is mentioned in one of the object descriptions from The Sims 4: Movie Hangout Stuff.
