Lazlo Curious is a pre-made Sim from Strangetown, who comes from a family of three boys and one girl, Jenny Smith, Vidcund Curious, Pascal Curious, and himself. His father, Glarn Curious, also had twin girls Chloe and Lola (both alien-Sim hybrids).

Life leading up to The Sims 2

He is the youngest son of Glarn Curious and Kitty Curious. He has long black hair, wears green shaded glasses, a purple shirt, blue-grey jeans and sandals. He has the same shirt as David Bennett.

He has a crush on Crystal Vu, a Strangetown townie. However, if Nightlife or later is installed, their chemistry may be poor because their astrological signs do not match. He works in the Science career track. When first played, he is 28 days from being an elder. Lazlo is voiced by Dave Boat.

He's more relaxed and easy-going than Pascal and Vidcund, which is why he usually isn't involved in their rivalry with Loki Beaker. The relative lack of bad feeling between the two may also be due to the fact that, unlike his brothers, Lazlo has no known romantic history with Loki's wife, Circe. His career level is also higher than his brothers (both Pascal and Vidcund are Lab Assistants while Lazlo, despite being the youngest of the three, is already a Field Researcher). While Lazlo's biography says that he has a degree in Phrenology, technically he doesn't have any degree even if The Sims 2: University is installed. In addition, there isn't a Phrenology major in that expansion pack.

Life leading up to The Sims 2 (PSP)

In The Sims 2 for PSP, Lazlo will be the first sim encountered by the player in Division 47 gate, as instructed by Sinjin Balani. Later, the player can find him in the Laboratory, along with Pascal, Vidcund, and Mister Smith. Lazlo is suspected of kidnapping Pascal's son, Tycho Curious, alongside Vidcund. The player has the choice of questioning and intimidating either Lazlo or Vidcund, but Lazlo is the innocent suspect.

Lazlo's secrets from The Sims 2 (PSP):

• (Personal): Lazlo became a scientist for one reason... the test monkeys. He just loves monkeys.
• (Intimate): Lazlo developed a recipe for air-puffed turkey. The same turkey taste, but less filling!
• (Dark): Claims to have contacted a lost civilization with the aid of two pie tins and duct tape.
• (Xenophile): Vidcund claims that Lazlo has been skulking around the UFO with an alien.

According to the game's data, he's interested in Sci-Fi, Money, and, unlike his PC counterpart, Crime and Weather.

Life leading up to the Sims 4

A version of the three Curious brothers was uploaded by Maxis to The Sims 4 Gallery in March 2019. He once again lives with his brothers and, should The Sims 4: Get to Work be installed, all three brothers are employed in the science career. His appearance remains generally the same, although he doesn't wear glasses with green lenses.

Lazlo is also hinted to be the father of the main playable sim of the "Stuck in their Shadow" scenario: Nova Curious.

He is mentioned as the creator of the Curious Pizza, described as a Strangetown delicacy, in the description of the recipe in The Sims 4: Home Chef Hustle Stuff.
