Alice Whitt is a pre-made playable adult Sim from Garden Heights, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims Pet Stories. She is the protagonist in the Best in Show story. Alice has inherited her grandparents' house at 1362 Dargail Lane and recently moved back to Garden Heights to take ownership of the property, but money problems have put her on the verge of financial ruin. A starving artist, she hasn't been able to make ends meet every month, but she is determined to make a better life for herself and her dog, Sam. She may be forced to move if she doesn't come up with the Simoleons to pay her taxes. Her friends Amaya Flores and Thomas Jones are there to help, but ultimately Alice must find a way to save her house.
Alice has the Popularity aspiration and the Aries zodiac sign. As far as personality goes, Alice is somewhat outgoing. But also somewhat grouchy. When it comes to her skill points, Alice has maximized the creativity skill, is almost halfway towards maximizing the charisma and body skills, and has low cooking, logic, cleaning, and mechanical skills. Her main interests are Culture, Politics, and Entertainment.
Alice uses the 2nd face template in Create a Sim except for the slightly modified nose and jaw; however, if the player uses cheats to make her an elder, or extracts her to BodyShop with SimPE and ages her into an elder, her face will not change, which is unusual given that most other Sims that use the 2nd face template will have slightly different facial features when they become elders (e.g. larger noses, more prominent under-necks, smaller mouths etc.). This is what the broken face templates (minus the customized nose and chin) will look like on Sims once they became elders.
Story[]

After painting a picture, Alice gives some love to her dog, Sam. Alice then changes her clothes as well as her look. Later, Sam chews on the furniture so Alice scolds him. She decides to teach him a command "come here". Soon, the landowner Diana DeBore comes with her henchmen and says that Alice is facing eviction in two weeks if she fails to pay her debt of §120,000 and that she purchased the deed in case Alice can't pay. Alice says she'll find a way to pay off the debt and asks Diana to leave.
After taking Sam for a walk, she finds that there's a dog show competition and if they win, they'll be able to pay off the bills. After that, they go to Playground for Precious to register. The judge is not impressed with Sam and dismisses her registration, but Brock Thornton, one of Diana's henchmen, whispers something to him and Alice and Sam are allowed to register and participate. Next, Alice decides to have a chat with the other contestants but they are busy focussing on their training and refuse to offer any advice to their competition.
The next morning, she invites over Amaya who comes with Thomas, Alice's old friend. Alice explains her problem to them and Amaya gives her an A-frame to train Sam for the dog show. Thomas also says he'd like to come tomorrow with his dog Lucy and Alice agrees. Later that day, Alice trains Sam on the A-frame.
Alice has to scold Sam again because he's digging holes and being filthy. Soon, Alice's sink breaks and she calls a repairman, but since all the plumbers are swamped, she asks Thomas, who's just arrived, to do it. After he fixes her sink, she cleans the kitchen and then plays with Thomas' dog, Lucy. Thomas also gives Alice a Teeter Totter, so she trains Sam.
Alice decides to go to Vista Strip Mall and pick up a magazine on dog training. While buying a magazine she runs into Thomas and they decide to go to Simoleon Diner. After lunch, he gives her a toy for Sam and tells her that he has a few things to do before work and that his boss is very strict. He then leaves. Alice goes home too and sees that Sam has made a mess while she was away so she has to clean it. Finally, she reads the magazine that takes her to the Training Grounds to see how a competition looks like.
The next morning, Alice decides to train Sam for the dog show. Soon, Thomas drops by on his way to work and gives her a high jump and says that she shouldn't tell anyone where she is getting this stuff from. She tells him to not worry and then trains Sam on all obstacles she has, to prepare for the dog show tomorrow.
Sam's rolling around in the flower beds so Alice has to give him a bath. After that, they go to The Show Park and compete in the dog show. Because two other contestants' dogs get in a fight, Alice and Sam qualify for the SimCity finals. Later, Diana tells Alice that there's no way she'll win but Alice says they're going to be the best and keep their house. Diana also says that she fired Thomas because he was helping Alice.
Later, Otis Fielding passes Alice's house and she decides to see what he wants. He says he has been following Alice and that he is very well acquainted with Diana DeBore because his dog Jake was the reigning dog show champion until Diana and her dog Precious were able to beat them. He also teaches Alice "The Way of the Paw" that will help her to communicate better with Sam and gives her the obsidian paw, which is an ancient talisman known to attune humans to animals.
Later at night, while sleeping, the burglar alarm wakes Alice up. She notices that Sam is missing so she calls the police but they say they're busy and that she should search the neighborhood herself. She decides to look for clues around the house. She finds a coffee cup from Cafe Grounds, so she goes there to investigate. When she comes there, she finds and confronts Brock Thornton, one of Diana's henchmen, who says that Reece Mustella, the other henchman, has Sam back at the Abandoned house. She immediately goes there and confronts Reece who insults and pushes her. Thomas suddenly shows up and fights Reece off. Alice finds Sam, so they leave. When she gets home, she finds a note from Brock who's giving her a tire to make up for what happened to Sam and to help her beat Diana.
The next morning, Thomas comes and gives Alice a new piece of training equipment. Before leaving, he says that even though he lost his job, he still has contacts inside to get the training equipment. Diana shows up next saying that she might offer her condolences after hearing Sam got dognapped. Alice tells her Sam has been return. Diana says that if Alice beats her she'll get the deed to the house and that it was never her intention to sell it back. After Diana leaves, Alice notices that the obsidian paw is missing. Soon, Otis comes by and gives Alice the last bit of training. He tells Alice that she doesn't need help from books to fulfill her destiny, she only needs to look within herself to understand the true meaning of "The Way of the Paw". Later, she calls Amaya to chat and catch up with her a bit over some coffee.
In the morning, Alice finds a gift from Thomas which turns out to be a collapsible chute tunnel. Alice then trains Sam on the training equipment to prepare for the big final tomorrow.
On the dog show day, Alice goes to Bartholomew Greens. After she registers in order to participate in the show, she takes a seat and watches Henry Beniz compete with his dog Simon. Soon, Amaya comes to support Alice. Later, Diana comes and says that Thomas will never find a home in town as long as Alice is around and that she'll demolish Alice's house after winning the show. Alice then competes in the show with a good result. Diana participates last but to all surprise gets disqualified because Precious falls from an obstacle and runs off, meaning that Alice and Sam got the most points and win the competition. When Alice receives the prize, Diana claims that Alice had sabotaged her performance by tempering with the obstacle. Then Thomas shows up with the police, who arrest Diana for extortion, conspiracy, embezzlement and dognapping and Alice receives the deed to the house and the prize money for winning the dog show.
Alice decides to invite her friends over to thank them for everything. She cooks them a meal and later Thomas' dog, Lucy, gives birth to a litter of puppies, fathered by Sam. Alice also develops a relationship with Thomas; the future of their relationship is left up to the player.
After the story, Alice, Sam and the litter of puppies live at their house and become playable from there.
