The wind chimes are reintroduced in The Sims 4: Backyard Stuff with more options such as bamboo, ceramic, and metallic wind chimes as well as adjustable lengths.
There are six purchasable wind chimes, three of which wall hanging and the other three ceiling hanging each in the bamboo, ceramic, and aluminum varieties.
The following interactions are available:
- View
- Turn Off/On
- Change Pitch...
- High Pitch
- Medium Pitch (default)
- Low Pitch
When the pitch is changed the rods of the wind chime will change in length.
If a Sim sleeps or takes a nap near a wind chime, they will wake up and get a +1 Uncomfortable moodlet named "Wind Chime Racket" for one hour.
After viewing windchimes, Sims will receive one of the following moodlets for two hours:
- Soothing Chimes (Happy +1)
- Annoying Chimes (Angry +1) (Hot-headed Sims only)
- Sounds of the Wind (Happy +2) (Music lovers only)
