The Red Man is an Urb from The Urbz: Sims in the City for handheld. He is a mysterious figure, feared by Bayou Boo and Crawdad Clem. He has a minor role in the story. After the Bayou twins tell the player's Urb to meet with the Red Man, they must go to the Hickory Stump at Midnight or later. Once they do, the Red Man challenges them to a fiddle contest. After the contest, he gives the player's Urb the second half of the Bayou twins' mother's locket. After this, the player's Urb is able to come back to the stump at midnight everyday and challenge the Red Man again. Each time he appears, he is unable to be socialized with.

The dialogue both before and after the fiddle contest are both references to the lyrics of the song "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" by The Charlie Daniels Band.

Trivia[]

  • If you receive the 2nd part of the locket while your pockets are full, the locket will be complete, and you can continue the game as normal. However if you go to him again, he will give you the 2nd part of the locket again and since there is no image in game designed for the 2nd part of the locket alone it displays an empty space with the name “XXNOTUSED” before it.
  • Following up on the 2nd locket bug, if you enter any shop when it’s ‘auction time’ the screen will become very hard to use, showing many bright bars across the screen. While The shops are still fully functional, some the images that are displayed on the items up for auction will be invisible. There is no known way to get rid of the locket yet, even when trying to give it to Crawdad Clem he will not accept it. The bug has not been fixed but does not affect any gameplay issues so you do not need to fear this much, just be aware it can cause minor infuriation to know you can’t get rid of it.
