Herb Oldie is the elderly, yet outgoing adoptive father of Mary-Sue Pleasant. He and his wife Coral (also an elder) are available in the Pleasantview family bin to be played. Despite being a Romance Sim, he has been happily married to Coral most of his life without ever committing infidelities. Interestingly, it would appear that he quit or was fired from his job as a businessman as opposed to retiring.

Herb is the son of Myron Oldie and Irma Oldie, who are both deceased before the start of The Sims 2 's storyline. Herb married Coral Oldie and they are parents to Mary-Sue, who they adopted when she was a toddler.
Herb's only child; the adopted Mary-Sue, went on to marry Daniel Pleasant. The couple had twin daughters, Angela and Lilith together.
At the start of The Sims 2, Herb and his wife, Coral Oldie, are both elders and are located in Pleasantview's Family bin; ready to be played.
