Tiers, Upgrades and Karmic Adjustments[]

In The Sims 3: Pets for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Karma powers are unlocked through Karma rewards. Being divided into tiers, players will have to "purchase" a set amount of rewards to unlock the next tier. In most cases, that amount is of three Karma powers. Apart from the usual powers, the player is also able to unlock upgrades to karma powers already present. For example, A little Sunshine will alleviate all needs of one Sim slightly, but a tier five upgrade makes it also maximize one randomly selected need. Other upgrades, such as upgrades to the amount of karma points that can be stored at once, generic Karma upgrades, Karma regeneration, and eventually the ability to disable unwanted negative karma altogether, are also available.

The tiers and the respective rewards to each are listed below:

  • Tier 1:
    • A little Sunshine - Fit all of a Sim's needs bars a small amount. They keep doing what they're doing a little longer!
    • Instant Beauty - Give one of your Sims or pets a makeover in Create a Sim or Create a Pet!
