library is a community lot and lot assignment in and The Sims 3 that allows The Sims 4 Sims to read books, but not to bring them home.
Gameplay descriptions Edit
Every single book in the home world is here, with the exception of
recipes, bait guides, guitar compositions, and books from every destination. If a player gets their Sim to write a novel, when it is completed it will often appear in the library. This may not apply to flops. [
Libraries attract Sims with the
Genius [ and confirmation needed] Bookworm traits. They have lots of bookshelves, and usually have computers where Sims can practice the Writing skill. Sims with a writing skill of 3 or greater will receive an opportunity to donate books they have written to city hall, which will make them available in libraries.

Libraries in The Sims 4 Edit
This section is in need of additional information. You can help The Sims Wiki by
expanding this section.
Willow Creek Archive Edit Willow Creek Archive
is a library built for Willow Creek. Prior to Patch 21, it was the only library in The Sims 4 base game.
Desert Muse Edit Desert Muse
is a library built for Oasis Springs. It was included in Patch 21.
Llama Land Library Edit Llama Land Library
is a library built for Newcrest. It was included in Patch 21.
There is no proper library in Aurora Skies. Instead, there's a community lot Lend and Learn Library, but it's assigned as No Visitors Allowed. It's probably a mistake by the developers.
The library in Sims University is a shell building. Even though there appears to be many doors on the building, only one is a valid entrance to the shell.
