[edit] The Sims

Magic Town is an area in SimNation that was added in The Sims: Makin' Magic. It can be reached by riding in the Balloon Cab or by jumping in a Hole in the Ground. In Magic Town, Sims can buy ingredients for baking, or pressing nectar - or for spellcasting. They can even buy a dragon egg. It is possible that the river flowing through Magic Town is the northern segment of the one seen in Old Town.

According to a lot named "Vernon's Vault", a man named Vernon the Pallbearer traveled to the swampy region of Calamity Forest when it was nothing but graveyards and built some carnival rides and such. It is suggested that he founded Magic Town.

A Sim can earn MagiCoins by performing tricks, or have fun watching other Sims perform. Sims can also amuse themselves on fun-house rides, or by playing a round of mini-golf, or even by playing checkers.

A new item in Magic Town is the Mea Fortuna fortune telling machine. It's not only fun to use, it occasionally provides game hints.

Children can go to Magic Town by themselves if they jump in a Hole in the Ground. However, neighborhood children will not appear as visitors to Magic Town, even though neighborhood adults will. Kids in Magic Town can do all the fun things except for using the wishing well and charming the snake. They can buy popcorn and cotton candy, but not goulash or gumbo.

Sims can cast spells in Magic Town without having to worry about getting fined by the Mystery Man. Keep in mind, though, that the townies in Magic Town all have wands. While those townies all have the last name "Strange", there doesn't seem to be any connection between Magic Town and Strangetown from The Sims 2.

[edit] NPCs In Magic Town

There are three vendors in Magic Town and each have their own Carts.

There are three janitors in different areas.

[edit] Residential Zone

There are three residential lots in Magic Town, but they must be bought with MagiCoins as well as simoleons.

[edit] The Sims 2

Magic Town is added to The Sims 2 when Apartment Life is installed. Instead of being like the Magic Town in The Sims, it is a secret sub-neighborhood. There are no residential lots and there are only two lots. The neighborhood's name is Duality.
