Melissa Smith (also known as Melissa Roomies) is a pre-made Sim in The Sims (console) and The Sims. She lives with Chris Jones, her female roommate.
In The Sims for console, she appears with brown short hair, white shirt, black jeans and white shoes. She and her roommate live at 3 Sim Avenue, an empty house with a big garden outside. She likes to play chess, dance and play the guitar.
In The Sims, they are in the family bin, ready to be moved into a vacant house or onto an empty residential lot.
Melissa and Chris never appeared in The Sims 2. Two Sims that looked like Melissa and Chris did in fact appear in the H&M Fashion Stuff preview wearing the clothes they wore in The Sims (console) version, but it is not confirmed that they are really Chris and Melissa. If they are, that was the last time they were shown to the public.
Melissa's surname is given as Smith in the console version. As Smith is a common surname, Melissa is very unlikely to be related with any other Smiths, especially that she has no apparent background to them. This also happens to Chris, as Jones is also a common surname.
