Pinball machines are a kind of buy mode object in The Sims, The Sims 2, The Sims 2 for console and The Sims 3 which raise the fun need when used. If a Sim is playing a pinball machine, another Sim may join him or her.
The base game for The Sims 2 has two pinball machines, and the University expansion pack added another. Sims are no longer charged to play on community lots. The Sims 2: Seasons added the Tribal Flame a la Coconut Pinball machine as the career reward for the Gamer career. It is slightly larger than other pinball machines.
The pinball machine does not appear in the The Sims 3 or any of its expansions; see comparison between The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. However, in November 2011 it was added to The Sims 3 Store as Premium Content. One or two Sims can play at a time. Excessive use or use by an unlucky Sim may cause the Pinball Machine to break.
The Sims introduced a pinball machine that both children and adults could play. Up to two Sims can play at a time. Occasionally, the pinball machine will break, and must be repaired in order to use it again.
The Sims 2Edit
The Sims 2 introduced two pinball machines in the base game, one more in University, and another as a career reward in Seasons. Sims perform more animations on these pinball machines, such as "nudging" the machine, and the ball and flippers themselves are visible.
