The Sims FreePlay has several quests (groups of linked tasks) for players to complete. Each quest unlocks awards for the player's Sims i.e. experience points and items that can be used in general gameplay (buildings, furniture etc.). Note that the time it takes for tasks to complete may vary depending on the star rating of the item used.
General Tasks
- Make two Sims 'good friends'
- Get two sims to dance to a song on their jukebox
- Get three Sims in one house
- Get five Sims in one house
- Build two workplaces
- Buy a TV
- Buy a phone
- Call a friend
- Buy a couch
- Get three Sims to watch a show
- Make a "double shot" coffee
- Visit The Salon On The Town Map
- Put An Item Into The inventory
Social Tasks
Tasks that are done by clicking the earth icon and visiting the neighbors.
- Visit your neighbor's town
- Meet your neighbor (enter a house and talk to another Sim)
- Visit your neighbor's park
- Read a neighbor's encyclopedia (enter a house with a bookshelf and choose the "read an encyclopedia" option) - 3 hours
- Be romantic with a neighbor's Sim (have a Sim interact with another Sim in a neighbor's town) - 1 minute
"Bread Winner" quest
This is the first quest on FreePlay and unlocked at level 6.
- Watch Sim Chef on TV - 3 hours
- Buy a stove
- Cook bacon and eggs - 5 minutes
- Eat bacon and eggs - 10 minutes
- Clean dishes
- Search bookshelf - 3 hours
- Buy a toaster
- Cook cheese and tomato on toast - 1 minute
- Call to meal
- Invite a Sim over
- Cook Burger (level 2)
- Rest your eyes (on a couch) - 4 minutes 30 seconds
Total Time: Approximately 6 hours, 20 minutes and 30 seconds.
"Money Grows on Trees" quest
Unlocks at Level 7 to gain access to The Simoleon Sprout and Life Points Lotus Plants. This quest also unlocks the Bread Winner quest.
- Plant carrots-5 mins
- Watch a documentary-1 hour
- Make a double shot of coffee-1 min
- Grow Watermelons - 1 hour
- Grow a Simoleon Sprout
Total Time: Approximately 2 hours, give or take a few...
"Love is in the Air" quest
- Quick rinse-6 secs
- Have 2 Sims in 1 House
- Make espresso- time depends on rating of coffee machine
- Be romantic to another sim
- Flirt with another sim
- Form a budding romance
- Have 2 Sims watch a movie - 1 hour 45 minutes
- Form a dating relationship (be romantic a few times until this happens)
- Make a Sim kiss another Sim on the cheek - 2 seconds
- Send a Sim home
- Take a catnap
- Grow onions - 7 hours
- Have 2 Sims in the same house
- Be romantic to another Sim - 1 minute
- Deeply cleanse hands - 2 hours
- Become partners (be romantic until this happens)
- Woohoo - 5 minutes
- Buy 2 roses (there are free ones in the garden section)
- Get engaged (propose marriage) - 6 seconds
- Call about the engagement - 4 hours 30 minutes
- Make 2 engaged Sims move in together - 6 seconds
- Have 3 Sims in one house
- Get married - 6 seconds
Total time: Approximately 1 day 28 minutes 20 seconds
Note: The player can use Lifestyle Points to save time and finish the quest faster.
"Two and a Half Sims" quest
Unlocks at Level 8. Complete it to unlock the ability to make babies with Sims. 3 day time limit to unlock the baby decoration pack which includes wallpaper, carpet, and a mobile.
- Be nice to a Sim - 1 minute
- Expand or create a room
- Spend 450 on Wallpapers and Floors (does not count if you have it already)
- Read "Better Farms and Cribs" magazine - 2 to 3 hours
- Deep sleep in bed 7 hours
- Have a double shot of coffee ~ 1 minute
- Watch "Dr. Cribs" on TV - 3 hours
- Build the Children's Store - 8 hours
- Buy a Crib (the cheapest is §6000)
- Add a Baby - 24 hours or what crib you get
Total Time: Approximately 1 day, 20 hours and 2 minutes.
"Ocean View Estate" quest
Unlocks at level 9. Complete it to unlock the premium residence which have bigger houses next to the ocean. 2 day time limit to unlock the beachside escape property.
- Read House, Garden and Llamas Magazine (can be found in the stack of magazines in the Living Room section)
- Play the Sims on the computer - 1 hour
- Call real estate agent on phone - 4 to 5 minutes
- Watch Sim house blitz on TV - 4 hours 30 minutes
- Have a double shot of coffee - 1 minute
- Call a Sim to the park
- Perform fake auction with ducks in the park - 8 minutes
- Feed the ducks in the park - 15 minutes
- Bake Pumpkin pie- 10 hours
- Wash hands in the sink- 7 seconds
- Build the real estate agency - time and price varies
- Get a Sim a job as a real estate agent
- Have a Sim dance to a stereo - 2 minutes 30 seconds
Total Time: Approximately 1 day, 4 hours, and 30 seconds.
"Mysterious Island" quest
Unlocks at level 10. Complete it to unlock the island and monuments to get bonuses on actions. 3 day time limit to unlock a statue for the garden.
- Watch the news - 2 to 5 minutes
- Find the mysterious island on a globe (the globe can be found in the decorations section for 10,000) - 1 to 2 minutes
- Download bridge schematics on a computer - 11 minutes [clarification needed]
- Post bridge schematics using letter box
- Call construction team on phone - 15 minutes [clarification needed]
- Watch ‘found’ on TV - 18 minutes
- Drink herbal tea
- Call the construction team on phone - 15 minutes
- Bake croissants - 18 hours
- Build the mysterious bridge - 24 hours
Total Time: Approximately 1 day, 19 hours, and 3 minutes.
"Raiders of the Lost Artifacts" quest
Unlocks at level 10 after completing Mysterious Island. 3 days time limit to unlock a treasure chest full of Artifacts, LPs, XPs and more.
- Go to the mysterious island
- Tap on a monument
- Read big book of stuff - 24 hours
- Turbo snack from a fridge - 30 seconds
- Search for artifacts in the garbage - 8 minutes
- Find the third artifact by baking, gardening or using objects (any normal activity can find the artifact)
- Upgrade the riches of terra to level 1
Total Time: Approximately 1 day, 8 minutes, and 30 seconds.
"Need For Steed" quest
Unlocks at level 11. Complete it to get horses. 7 day time limit to unlock
- Spot horses using telescope (5 mins)
- Go to Mysterious Island
- Tap on Stables (near the volcano)
- Call the mysterious number (2 hrs)
- Read Horse Care (use on bookshelf) - 11 hours
- Call mysterious number (again) - 4 minutes
- Look up a locksmith on computer- 2 hours
- Build the Stables (Cost Varies)
- Send a Sim to the Stable
- Have 4 Sims at the Stables (Instant)
- Clean up the Mess in Yard with your Sims (Teen / Adult / Senior - Time Varies)
- Watch the Horse Channel* (3h)
- Practice Brushing Another Sim (15m)
- Encourage a Sim (Adults—30m)
- Repair Stable - $ 30K, 8 hours

"Quest for Toddlers" quest
Unlocks at level 12. Complete it to grow toddlers. 5 day time limit to unlock the dress up chest.

- Buy a pet from the pet store
- Buy a dollhouse from the children’s store (cheapest is 7,000)
- Have a fancy coffee
- Bake Rocky Road - 12 hours (study geography - 12 hours)
- Contemplate life at the lake (click on ducks) - 8 minutes 42 seconds
- Ask statue in park for advice - 3 minutes
- Stare at the park statue
- Get serious advice from the park statue - 24 hours
- Listen to a stereo
Total Time: Approximately 1 day, 12 hours, 11 minutes, and 42 seconds.
"It's All Going Swimmingly" quest
Unlocks at level 13. Complete it to get the swimming center and garden pools. 6 day time limit to unlock the volleyball pool set. [can reach only using LPs.]
- Build the swimming center - time and cost varies [not less than 1 day]
- Send a Sim to the swim center
- Admire the slide at the swim center
- Have 4 Sims at the swim center
- Look at diving board apprehensively - 12 hours
- Hide in swim center toilet - 1 day
- Ask wumples for advice
- Supervise in a lifeguard chair - 16 hours
- Use a diving board
- Find 1st set of diving collectibles (the player must find 3 different medals)
- Look at the pool slide apprehensively - 16 hours
- Use vehicle in swim center carpark - 22 hours (following the car you can find LPs.)
- Be nice to a Sim
- Cuddle a cat at the swim center - 2:20 hours
- Give lost cat directions - 9:30 hours
- Use the slide (There is a glitch for this goal. If the player leaves the pool screen and a notice says the due to the weather change the action cannot be completed, the only ways around this glitch is to stay on the screen for the whole time or skip it with LPs.) - 3:30 hours

Unlocks at level 15. Complete it to grow your toddlers into preteens. This quest has no time limit.

- Read Harriet Putter - 5 hours
- Read Everything You Need To Know - 24 hours
- Buy a preteen bed

- Be rude to thinking man statue -1 day
- Play Sims on PC (video game on TV)
"Life Dreams & Legacy" quest
Unlocks at level 26.[1]
- Call a friend - 3 minutes
- Send invitations on a computer - 4 hours 48 minutes
- Send 5 Sims to snow park
- Tend the bar in the snow park (stay tending the bar for the next task)
- Order a cocktail at cabin (snow park) - 30 seconds (the player can only do this task when a Sim is tending the bar)
- Ask Osiris about new inventions - 14 hrs 20 minutes
- Open the age controller
- Advance an adult Sims age (your Sims will start to automatically age and die from this goal)
- Send a Sim to the park
- Examine the glowing orb - 1 day
- Give the orb to a senior
- Open the life dreams menu
- Fulfill a life dream - 6 hours 24 minutes (There is a glitch for some players' game where they won’t see any life dreams in the menu.)
- Have a senior ask Osiris for help - 5 minutes
- Tap on the beach or arcade on island
- Have a senior ask Osiris for help - 20 seconds
