The ReNuYu Porta-Chug is a potion that can change a Sim's turn-ons and turn-offs when drunk. It is featured in The Sims 2: Nightlife and The Sims Castaway Stories. It is possessed by most townies and teenagers who age up to adult. However, young adult townies in college sub-neighborhoods and teen townies sent to college may not receive it. Sims made in CAS will not have this potion in their inventory. A newly activated Servo[TS2:OFB] will not have it, but can use it if it is given a bottle.
Because chemistry is a feature added in Nightlife, all Sims that existed prior to Nightlife will have a random set of turn-ons and turn-offs. Also, when townies are created to replace ones that have died or been make playable, they receive a random set of turn-ons and turn-offs. In order to let players have control over these random turn-ons and turn-offs, all of said Sims are given a bottle of ReNuYu Porta-Chug in their inventory. If a Sim has a bottle, the option to drink it will appear when clicking on the Sim. If a bottle of ReNuYu Porta-Chug is removed from a Sim's inventory, it can be sold in buy mode.
Once Sims use or sell this potion, they cannot buy it elsewhere. However, bottles can be given as gifts, and can be transferred from Sim to Sim within a household by taking a bottle from one Sim's inventory and placing it in another's. In addition, versions which can be bought in buy mode are available as custom content.
In Open for Business, Sims can set bottles of ReNuYu Porta-Chug to be on sale in a business, but they cannot restock it, since they cannot obtain the potion in any normal way. In Apartment Life, witches with level 7 Magic skill can brew the potion in their cauldron.
Like the ReNuYuSenso Orb, the name is a pun on "Re-New-You", since it "renews" a Sim's turn-ons and turn-offs, part of Sims' Simology.
In The Sims Castaway Stories, it can be purchased for 3,000 aspiration points. It has the same function as in Nightlife.
