Anna-Liza, a retired blogger, is the only remaining member of the Riddle family. She lives alone in a large house in the suburbs of Twinbrook. She is an accomplished writer, especially when it comes to mysteries.
The Riddle house is much larger and contains much more furniture than Anna-Liza needs, having three expensive computers (including Anna-Liza's laptop); two dining tables; and a second bedroom, which seems to be decorated for a little girl. As Anna-Liza has no children, many players tend to see this as useless, but some see it as suggesting that she would like to adopt a daughter.
The attic of the house is bare except for two things. One is a telescope pointed out a large window, allowing a good view of the entire neighborhood. The other is an urn for a Di. L. Emma Riddle, who apparently died of old age.
