Ruth Bell (née Zingle) is the wife of Bartholomew Bell, the mother of Issac Bell, and the grandmother of Daniel Bell. Not much is known about her since she is deceased before the start of The Sims 2. Even though in Issac's memories, she died as an adult but she died after her husband (who died during Issac's marriage) and after the birth of her grandson. A theory is that when she married her husband he was an elder and she was an adult.
