Townie?[]
How can one determine that Patrick Jones was a Townie? OoppDecks (talk) 08:30, October 21, 2014 (UTC)
- I guess because he has no distinctive facial features, hairstyle or clothing. And because his first and last name are drawn from the list of EA/Maxis staff. Most Sims that are not NPCs or townies have a first and / or last name that aren't used by townies and NPCs.
- Other than that I can't be certain because I can't find any references of him once being a townie in his character file. A lot of NPCs have their pre-set NPC type referenced in their character file. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 08:42, October 21, 2014 (UTC)
- I know how to identify a living Sim whether they are a townie, NPC, or not through SimPE. You need to look at their Family Instance. Dead Sims always have a family instance of 0 though, and once you resurrect a dead Sim, they are automatically added to the household that saved them.[1] --I am k6ka Talk to me! - Ditto to both. He has no particular indication that he was an NPC and he's not related to any premade playable Sims. Moreover, his household couldn't be determined in SimPE because he'd be under deceased Sims pool / household. I think it's safe to assume that he was a townie. - I've looked in Jessica Ebadi's character file and the information I found confirms that she was once an NPC maid. Danielle Greaves' character file states that she was once a delivery woman (a pizza one, hence her outfit).
- I'm not sure how to determine if Patrick Jones was once a townie by looking at the information in his character file, because I don't know how to tell the difference between townie data and playable Sim data, should such a difference exist. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 03:41, October 23, 2014 (UTC)
