Can you turn back into a normal Sim once you become a PlantSim? --Sumaes01 01:14, June 16, 2011 (UTC)

Yes. Ѧüя◎ґ 01:22, June 16, 2011 (UTC)

Motives[]

Now that I think about it, it makes sense to assume that PlantSims might have invisible normal-Sim motives, given that they can be cured. If they do, I suppose it's possible that some aspects of gameplay from other EPs, such as employee motives from OfB, might read those motives instead of the visible PlantSim motives. Dharden (talk) 23:33, June 13, 2012 (UTC)

There is no need to assume this, they have invisible normal-Sim motives, no doubt. Try to engage a PlantSim in an activity which drastically drains "Comfort" motive. You will see that a common low-comfort "thoughts" will appear in the bubble over PlantSim head. The same animations and moves are also there.Faust-RSI 05:23, June 14, 2012 (UTC)
Do they actually replenish the hidden needs, or those are full immediately? Nikel Talk 11:08, June 14, 2012 (UTC)
I'm not sure about immediately, but you don't need to do anything to replenish them, they somehow replenish themselves, and if not immediately, it happens quite fast.Faust-RSI 11:35, June 14, 2012 (UTC)
Why is the main page locked? I was planning on making some edits! When will it be unlocked?Jdacapo (talk) 20:12, July 18, 2012 (UTC)

Confirming[]

Needs confirming: whether or not the sunlight need (or it applies to whole motives?) doesn't deplete with the occurence of FrightDrakonoSkerdikas (talk) 00:43, January 6, 2019 (UTC)

Forbidden Fruit[]

Overlooks how to obtain the "Forbidden Fruit" object.  This is vaguely alluded to in a provided screenshot, but not expressly stated in the text (and rendering the section on obtaining a Plantsim in Sims 3 incomplete) whatever methods are involved.  PharosAM (talk) 15:24, March 26, 2013 (UTC)

As the New Release template says, "We are working on editing and adding new content as it is discovered." While we can learn much about an upcoming release from pre-release information and reviews, we can't learn everything. Much has to wait until it can be discovered by players in the course of play. So yes, how to obtain a Forbidden Fruit should certainly be mentioned, either here or in a separate article, but it's not being overlooked. Dharden (talk) 16:09, March 26, 2013 (UTC)

Transition after poison kiss?[]

In sims 3, my sim turned into a plant sim after being kissed and poisoned by one. Is that normal? I have yet to read about it anywhere. Beware The Otakus (talk) 11:29, April 16, 2013 (UTC)

Creation is CAS[]

I have Supernatural, and I was wondering if I could create a PlantSim in CAS. Hurshbr (talk) 01:57, May 18, 2013 (UTC)Hurshbr

No, you can't. :/ Nikel Talk Vote! 15:24, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

Curing[]

I want to cure my sim in Sims 2 from PlantSimism - the article says something about Science Facility and Science Research Station, what exactly does that mean? 77.220.127.12 (talk) 09:25, July 20, 2013 (UTC)

That method is for The Sims 3: University Life. In The Sims 2: Seasons, you have to buy the potion from a Garden Club member, Gypsy Matchmaker, or craft it as a witch. Nikel Talk Vote! 09:43, July 20, 2013 (UTC)
I added a "Curing" subsection for The Sims 2: Seasons. Dharden (talk) 14:11, July 20, 2013 (UTC)

PlantSim color[]

Anyone else had their Sims 3 PlantSims randomly change colour? If so, what triggers it and is there any way to stop it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 197.245.113.75 (talkcontribs) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

I do. I made a PlantSim and moved her in to a different household. I gave her makeover from head to body, but every now and then, she kept changing color and reverted her hair and outfit back to the default PlantSim attire. I have no idea why it keeps happening. Nikel Talk Vote! 16:12, July 27, 2013 (UTC)
Happened to me when I took her on vacation. Might have to do with the moving homes/lots? 197.245.113.75 (talk) 18:03, July 27, 2013 (UTC)
That's possible too. I'm still not sure what caused it, but it does seem that moving can reset a PlantSim's outfit data. Nikel Talk Vote! 06:05, July 28, 2013 (UTC)

Seasons PlantSim skin[]

In Chemistry, it says, "PlantSims and Witches will always have full-face makeup set."

That's evidenced in Tunaisafish's attraction mod comments at MATY. It could be true that PlantSim's face is a full-face makeup. However, according to Treeag's Creature Skin Unlocker mod, PlantSim's skin is entirely the same kind of regular skins. Meanwhile, the article here says, "Technically, the PlantSim skin is a whole-body tattoo." Seeing that there isn't even tattoo in The Sims 2, it might imply that the skin is an overlay or a whole-body accessory, but I think it's not. Nikel Talk Vote! 09:18, October 25, 2013 (UTC)

IIRC, I copied the wording from Vampire and replaced "vampire" with PlantSim. That's from March 18, 2011, which I think was before I had FreeTime, so I probably didn't have Tuna's attraction fix yet. Will check Treeag's unlocker After Coffee. (It's 7:40 a.m. here.) Dharden (talk) 11:38, October 25, 2013 (UTC)
OK, I see where Treeag says that the vampire "skin" is actually an overlay, and therefore can't be unlocked. I think I assumed that vampires and PlantSims were alike in that way, since both get tagged as having full-face makeup. Dharden (talk) 12:12, October 25, 2013 (UTC)
CAS Debug Mode doesn't unlock a PlantSim skin; that may be why I assumed it was like the vampire skin. If there is full-face makeup for the PlantSim face, Debug Mode doesn't unlock it.
Judging from the file sizes and Treeag's comments, it looks like the "unlocker" is actually a set of extracted and unlocked skin tones, modified to work for all ages. Still, it does look like I was wrong about the nature of the PlantSim skin. Dharden (talk) 16:27, October 25, 2013 (UTC)
Just to follow up on all this (I know this is a really old discussion, but still): Okay, I'm having a really annoying problem with my save. My PlantSim looks just like you would expect, except the face has the normal skin colour. This makes my PlantSim look really silly, I want her face to be green, like it should be. I've tried curing my sim and making them a PlantSim again, but nothing has worked. I've used the mirror to "Change Appearance", but absolutely nothing has worked. I even tried modifying the age using the "agesimscheat" and seeing if turning them into a PlantSim worked then. Alas, nothing I've tried has worked, for some reason the full-face makeup of a PlantSim is not being applied to my sim. So yes, I'm sure it's a full-face makeup for the face, because my sim doesn't have it. —Procedural (talk) 15:39, August 3, 2014 (UTC)
