The Sims 4Edit
Tea was included in The Sims 4 base game. It can be used to achieve various emotional states when drunk. It functions similarly to coffee, but does not stave off loss of energy. There are 6 types of tea in the base game of The Sims 4. Tea can be brewed with the "Tea Magic Personal Brewer," which can be purchased in Build Mode for §275. Brewing once grants 3 cups of the chosen Tea type, and it will, like any other perishable consumable, spoil in 10 hours after being brewed.
The tea names are references to actual tea, in the real-world; some have an altered name, while others have the actual name in-game.

- Taking a cup of tea and drinking half of it will give the full 4 hour buff. This allows a Sim to begin another activity sooner, saving time, and the rest of the tea can be finished later to obtain another full 4 hour buff.[clarification needed]
- "Earl Grey, Hot" is a reference to Star Trek: The Next Generation in which Captain Jean-Luc Picard would ask the replicator for Earl Grey tea with such a quote. The confidence boost may also be referencing the character's status as Captain or to "Boldly go where no one has gone before" ("Bold confidence" are the words on the buff)
