I've only played Seasons like once at a friend's house, and I thought it wasn't that great. Pets all the way :)
Hard decision, my top two fav expansions, but I'm going to have to go with pets, it's been a staple expansion since Unleashed, and there was a reason EA waited until E3 to unveil this one for 3 XD I loved my furry friends in Sims 2, and the added Pack Leader to turn you into a Werewolf? Can't get any better! Pets wins for me in the long run! Again, super hard battle and I'd be extremely happy if Seasons found its way into Sims 3 also. Abyss Raider 05:15, June 18, 2011 (UTC)

Why is everyone in love with seasons? It had like 5 new ways for a sim to die, the plantsims were SO boring. The only good thing about seasons was like rain and snow! With pets you get 2 whole new things you can create in CAS, cats and dogs.You get werewolves... way better than plantsims.In seasons you can't choose to have no weather if you want. With pets you don't have to have pets. But seriously you are putting down an animal for death, lame plant things and rain!!!!!!!! Seasons was (apart from Open for Business) my favorite expansion pack. It added a whole new aspect to The Sims game which we hadn't seen prior or since; it wasn't just a re-hash of a prior expansion pack, it was creative and original. -- LostInRiverviewtalk · blog 06:37, June 14, 2011 (UTC)

I keep wondering why EAxis didn't include any new hairstyles or clothing in Pets. Probably they were too busy with Pets creation in CAS (CAP more specifically). Since it was also my last EP, I thought I bought a fake one. Nikel23 15:50, June 14, 2011 (UTC)
Like it has been mentioned before, Seasons brought a whole new and unexpected concept into The Sims 2, but it also brings new autonomous actions between Sims that add a little more life to their world and adds new ways for sims to die, which is a rather big plus for those people that kill off Sims willy nilly if they don't like them (I'm not one of them, just saying). It also added precipitation! The random storms add a bit more unpredictability to the game which, for me, is a huge plus. However, there is the "sunburn while indoors" glitch as well as the potential for the new particle effects (rain, snow, etc) to drastically slow down already slow computers. As for Pets, it was a highly anticipated expansion pack because I found it really enjoyable in The Sims. The pet careers also add an additional cash source for those people who like to play from scratch. The biggest plus in that game, however, was the addition of werewolves. Wolves have been my favorite animals for as long as I can remember and I couldn't wait to turn someone into a werewolf right away. On the down side, this expansion was already done, it adds to the difficulty of the game (which could also be a plus), and it GREATLY increased the number of user files created. I prefer Pets for two reasons: 1) as you have probably guessed from my avatar and user page, I like cats. But the main reason why I dislike Seasons is it slows down the game soooo much! Especially when there is snow falling. --WH(Talk) 06:46, June 15, 2011 (UTC)
