Should we allow users to write that they created the tutorial they made? Like, "This tutorial was written by Username."? —Random Ranaun (Talk to me!) 00:54, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

Adding creators to tutorials may give those people the feeling that the tutorials they create "belong to them" and may cause others to think that they aren't allowed to edit or improve another person's tutorials. I say definitely no. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 05:39, February 17, 2011 (UTC)
Absolutelt not! A tutorial is not only created by one person. It might had been started by a specific person, but this shouldn't give copyright to them. Everyone should be allowed to edit any article. I'd also like to add what LIR stated above. |_Andronikos Leventis Talk 12:49, February 17, 2011 (UTC)
Okay, good. BobNewbie said that he was going to create a Tutorial MoS. Should we all make suggestions? —Random Ranaun (Talk to me!) 20:59, February 17, 2011 (UTC)
Why are you talking behind my back? Moodlet icon amused fun. Any ideas would be appreciated everybody. --BobNewbie talkblog 21:08, February 17, 2011 (UTC)
What's the purpose of a Tutorial MoS. By that, I mean in what way would the TMoS differ from the MoS for the whole wiki? Also, what method will you use to allow community comment and consent to the Tutorial MoS? -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 22:21, February 17, 2011 (UTC)
Could tutorials be written in 2nd person view, or no? Also, I accidentally used bad wording in my above post. By MoS, I meant something like the Fanon Creation page, but for tutorials. —Random Ranaun (Talk to me!) 03:59, February 18, 2011 (UTC)
I think that the TMoS should differ from casual MoS, because tutorials need to state things simply and add helpful ideas. They don't add generic facts like a casual article does, they add successful tips and ideas that worked. |_Andronikos Leventis Talk 16:18, February 18, 2011 (UTC)
Should we make a Tutorial navigation template that would link to the Tutorial Portal, The Sims tutorials, The Sims 2 tutorials, and The Sims 3 tutorials, and would be placed on top of Tutorial pages? —Random Ranaun (Talk to me!) 04:34, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
How's this?:
What do you think?—Random Ranaun (Talk to me!) 07:07, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
It's awesome. I especially like how it represents each game, so solidly. Ѧüя◎ґ 07:13, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
I added that education cap thingy, and created {{Tutorial-nav}}. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 15:06, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
Great! Should it be placed on top of every tutorial? If so, I could add it to the createbox on the main Tutorial pages. —Random Ranaun (Talk to me!) 20:49, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
I like the nav bar for the tutorials as well as it's clear and shows the tutorial for each game. GG (t)(c)(b) 22:25, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

Modding Tutorials Edit

Should tutorials about modding The Sims Series be allowed? |_Andronikos Leventis Talk 11:05, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

I say yes. I think tutorials related to the series should be allowed, including modding tutorials. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 15:50, February 24, 2011 (UTC)
In case the community accepts, a disclaimer template should be created, because if someone's game gets too messy, it is likely that TSW is going to be blamed. It should also be added that The Sims Wiki does not support any of the tools used in this tutorials. |_Andronikos Leventis Talk 19:36, February 24, 2011 (UTC)
