The Fearless Flyin' 4000 Treadmill is an exercise machine introduced in The Sims 2: University. Sims can run on it until they become fatigued. The animation used by a Sim on the treadmill depends on that Sim's Body skill. If the Sim has low Body, the treadmill will stay flat and will move at a walking pace. Even so, the Sim will often fall. If the Sim has a medium level of Body skill, the treadmill will elevate and move faster, but the Sim will still tend to fall. For Sims with high Body skill, the treadmill moves at a brisk running pace. These Sims are less likely to fall, but sometimes do.
When placed on community lots, it differs from other exercise machines in that uncontrolled Sims will readily use it. The treadmill appears to outdraw weight machines.
Sims can run on it until they become fatigued. It increases the Athletic skill, specifically the cardio (as opposed to strength) aspect of a Sim's fitness. Sims with high Athletic skill can train other Sims on this object. Sims who exercise on the treadmill often become slimmer. Treadmills are commonly found in the gym and academy lot types, alongside weight machines (and in the latter case, Board Breakers and Sheng Hai Training Dummies).
If strolling through your beautiful neighborhood and interacting with the world around you holds little appeal, then consider the convenience of a Shut-In Treadmill. It offers 47 indistinguishable settings, and instills in its users all the self-dignity of a caged rodent on a hamster wheel.
Fitness equipment manufacturers always make the same bold claims but the good lookin' folks at Slimline only hold one: to have the sleekest, most attractive treadmill on the market. Running on it is optional, making it part of your complete loft layout is essential.
