Status of The Genesis Project
I'm sure that some of you have been wondering why I haven't been updating this fanon -- or is it a fan story? -- and even more so wondering when I will be uploading it again. Both really good questions.
For the first question, there's a simple answer and a more involved answer. The simple answer is because I haven't been playing the game, so there isn't anything to update. The involved answer is because life has been getting really busy as of late with my jobs. Yes, that was plural. That is why I play the Sims 2; it relaxes me after doing so many things. So that leads me to the next question.
You don't have to worry about me abandoning the project because I am very curious to see how it turns out as well. As for when I will be uploading agai…
Me? An Admin? Wow!
It feels like only yesterday that I was made a Rollback. (It was actually about 2 months ago.) I almost didn't accept the nomination to be an admin because I didn't know if I could handle it. I decided to accept because if the community felt that I wasn't right for the job, they wouldn't accept. I just didn't think that you all would so overwhelmingly accept. I know I said something similar two months ago, but I am still amazed. I know I will have a learning curve, but I trust your acceptance as reassurance that you all believe that I can do it and will make a good admin. You know that I will be asking for help, so I'll say this in advance: Thanks. And that also goes for allowing me to have this opportunity to give back to the community.
Making Rollbacker
I really have to say thanks for being made a rollbacker. I'll be honest that I didn't know what that was yesterday, but it is a true honor. To think that it started because I wanted to place a story of my sims online. There were times that I saw changes to articles that were obviously not necessary, so I changed them back because it made sense to do so. Being the kind of person who attends to details a lot, it about annoyed me when I would see those changes so I would keep changing them back. Who would have thought that would have made me a rollbacker? So again, I just want to say THANKS!
The Genesis Project timetable for new chapters
I had originally wanted to write a chapter each week in my fanon The Genesis Project, so that people could know there is a continuous story coming in at a regular pace. I have been doing that up to now. So far each chapter has consisted of what happens in the neighborhood during the course of one season. Because I seem to be writing chapters faster than I am actually playing them, I am going to have to slow down how often I get a new chapter out and/or change what I include in a chapter.
I could either write a new chapter at least every other week, but that might be pushing it as the neighborhood gets larger meaning that the chapters will become too sparse. Or I could start doing individual household updates per quarter rather than an entir…
Glitch in Sims 2 Game
So, I was playing my game when my child sim had his birthday. He grew up into a ... floating child. Huh? I don't know how that happened. The game treats him like a teen, but he sure don't look like one. Any suggestions?
