- Second world announced for The Sims 4
The Gurus have confirmed that there will be a second world shipping with The Sims 4 in September - Oasis Springs; not to be confused with Oasis Landing or Hidden Springs. Oasis Springs will be a desert-themed world based on suburban Las Vegas, though probably without the glittering lights and rampant gambling. Oasis Springs will follow the same model as Willow Creek - the other TS4 world - in that the world is made up of several neighborhoods which each consist of a handful of lots. As with everything related to The Sims 4, expect more information on this as we near the release date.
- The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection
If you have a copy of The Sims 2 registered on Origin, be sure to check your Origin games library or your email inbox, because you may have a copy of The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection. TS2:UC is a compilation of The Sims 2 base game, plus all the expansion and stuff packs (excluding the holiday-themed "stuff packs"). Right now, TS2:UC is available only to people with a version of The Sims 2 registered on Origin, but EA support has been willing in some cases to provide access to the game for those with physical copies and valid game keys (your mileage may vary!). The compilation may be made available to the public to purchase at some time in the future, but no release plans have been announced yet. You can read more about this, including possible methods to get a copy of the game, by visiting this blog.

- The Sims Wiki will not create a bot to log conversations in wiki Chat (Read more)
- In Sim biography infobox templates and on Sim pages, non-special Sims will be referred to simply as "Sims", not "humans," "normal," etc. (Read more)
Do these recent decisions come as a surprise to you? If so, perhaps you should be more engaged in community discussions. There are a number of discussions ongoing right now, and your input will help decide these important and long-lasting issues.
