We're early yet again this week - check out what's happening in The Sims and on The Sims Wiki!
The Sims News
More info about Get Together is on the way
The Word of God (a.k.a., a SimGuru's post on the The Sims forums) has announced that new information about December's Get Together expansion pack will be coming to us within the coming week. The game is less than two months from release, but we still don't know a lot of specifics about the pack. Be sure to keep your eyes on The Sims Wiki and other fansites for new information as it comes forward.
Team Trick or Team Treat giveaways
As previously announced, The Sims Team has been holding a contest between "Team Trick" and "Team Treat" using in-game interactions in The Sims 4. As of the time of writing this post, two of the three battles have been ended, and both went in favor of Team Treat. The Sims Team has said that all three eventual winning objects will be available sometime in November, so we can expect to see a new game update dropping relatively soon.
Update in the works?
Speaking of forthcoming updates, Word of God is that a new game update is set to come out on Tuesday. Given the nature of the attached image, it looks like chances are good that repairmen/repairwomen will be added to the game. Here's hoping!
The Sims Wiki News
As usual, we have several community discussions in need of your input. Please check out these conversations:
As you may notice, there is no caption contest attached to the end of this week's blog post. Due to a discussion, the "Caption This!" weekly caption contest has been spun-off into its own bi-weekly feature. The contest itself will no longer be held using comments on a blog post, and each entry/voting period will last two weeks instead of one, but otherwise the contest itself is the same as before. Be sure and check it out, submit a caption for the new image, and vote for a caption for last week's image. The current submission and voting period lasts until November 14, 2015.
Focus article of the week
In place of the Caption This! contest, I'd like to start up a new experimental feature, which I'm tentatively calling the Focus Article of the week. This article will be one that shows promise for high quality, but that is in significant need of improvement first. Each week, a new article will be the Focus Article. The following week, we'll recognize the different users that made improvements to the article.
This week, for our inaugural Focus Article, we have Moonlight Falls. It was nominated for featured article but failed because of some issues with the article. With a little improvement, it could be ready to be featured!
Be sure to let us know of any articles you've seen on the wiki that look like a good pick for future Focus Articles.
That's all I've got this week! Happy simming~ - LiRtalk • blog • contribs 18:54, October 31, 2015 (UTC)
