As you may have noticed, one user has retired from their administrator's position while another user has declared himself to be absent, possibly indefinitely.

I know exactly what has led to this and I know exactly who is to blame. Those who are to blame know who they are and should be deeply ashamed of themselves. While there may be an unknown underlying issue for one of these mentioned users, the reason for the other user's departure is definitely the fault of negative user treatment; even one user leaving due to abuse is too much but both users were subject to abuse. If you guys on Chat (where the blame lies in its entirety - do not even try to argue this fact - though I am aware it's not everybody in Chat that's to blame) cannot handle the existence of IRC, the opinions of users that are active there or the willingness to show the ability to discuss something amicably with other users, whether they share the same opinion as you or not, then leave.

The events of the past two days have lead to a forum being closed due to the hostile behaviour its existence was generating from logs that have been provided, which have told both sides of the story, and two users leaving because of the abuse they have received. I have seen evidence of name calling, personal attacks and cyberbullying from some of the members of Chat, both ordinary users and chatmods/administrators. This is absolutely unacceptable. I don't even know what to say to this, I am speechless that the behaviour of users on Chat has lead to two users leaving the wiki. If anybody can come up with any justification for the treatment of users on Chat then please let me know, because I can't think of any whatsoever.

Attitudes towards other users such as what's been witnessed in the past two days almost justify the need for a logging feature in the first place because had we had this in the first place, this wouldn't have been such a big deal. I know who the users are that are at most to blame. I'm not naming names here. I'm sure those users also know very well who they are and those users ought to be ashamed of themselves. And if I do sound angry in writing this, it's because I am. And now that two users have left the wiki out of upset, I now know there is another, albeit bigger problem that needs to be addressed.

And don't accuse me of taking sides with the IRC users based on my own personal status because I've always looked out for the best interests of the wiki, Chat included and I know both sides of this story. We all know why this started, we all know what it's about and we all know how it turned into a big issue.

So that I know that everybody has read this and taken this seriously, I don't want any more discussion whatsoever about this issue. This is not helping the wiki one bit and it's being a drag on everything else. The fact I've had to write a blog about this after this issue should have collapsed once that thread was closed goes to show how certain individuals think they'll come out on top by utilising cyberbullying. You won't. Anybody who persists in abusive behaviour or reigniting this issue once I hit the publish button will be dealt with accordingly. The blog title is self explanatory. I hope I've made myself clear that this ends now.

And yes, I've deliberately locked commenting on this blog, so don't even bother enabling it. Lost Labyrinth Flag united kingdom england (c)(b) 20:45, August 4, 2013 (UTC)
