Yes, hello. We're back from a hiatus. And if you're wondering why we've been on hiatus, it's because there has been no news to report on. In all honesty there's not much this week...I'm doing this as courtesy really. So let's go.
The Sims news[]
- Remember those in-game cutscenes from The Sims 2 whenever something big happened? Well they're not coming back for The Sims 4. Also the soundtrack is being recorded at Abbey Road Studios. That's where The Beatles did all their stuff.
- Do you plan on buying TS4? Is your internet slow? Well Origin is going digital-only tomorrow. They've been planning this for almost 2 years...
- EDIT: It has been confirmed by Origin's Twitter account that boxed copies of games will still be found at places such as Gamestop and that it is only Origin themselves who are discontinuing physical copies.
- While this has nothing to do with The Sims (or maybe it does, I don't have a crystal ball), Origin plans to giveaway free games on a regular basis. This may possibly tie-in with The Sims series at some point so keep your eyes open.
Wiki news[]
- We have several new threads that require input. Please stop by and weigh in if you have time.
- Enjoy editing The Sims Wiki? Think you could possibly do more for the wiki than you can with your current toolset? Why not consider putting yourself forward for rollback, chat moderator, IRC chanop, administrator or bureaucrat rights respectively? Feel free to read our article on user rights to gain an understanding of what these rights are and how they work.
Not exactly news but mentionable anyway[]
- We told you that TS4 was a mobile exclusive. And a lot of you fell for it, with some referring to us as cruel for playing such a joke. I promise all other news this year will be truthful.
Poll[]
Seeing as Origin is going digital only, this can be an issue for a lot of players, despite EA claiming it only affects 1% of Origin users. With TS4 being on everybody's minds, this is kind of a big deal.
EDIT: This tweet kind of makes my original poll question redundant. As such, I'll replace it with something new. Yes it's a generic question but it's better than nothing.
That's all for now. Comment and such. Lost Labyrinth • (c) • (b) 23:41, April 2, 2014 (UTC)
