I've noticed we don't often create blogs intended to encourage interaction. But I remember doing it almost 2 years ago to great levels of success. So I figured I may as well give it another go.
The Sims series has given us a lot, with each of the three base games giving us something different. The Sims 4, which is due to launch later this year, places a focus on emotions, with the introduction of moods.
But the one thing that has contributed greatly to the longevity of the series is expansion packs. Every so often, we get a new expansion to the base game which expands on gameplay possibilities, by adding new features such as Pets and Seasons. While the base games have recycled subjects for expansion packs, they've gone different ways about it. Some people liked The Sims 2: Pets and hated The Sims 3: Pets for example. Everybody has their own opinions.
So with differences in mind, I ask the question:
Personally, I have a soft spot for both The Sims 2: Open for Business and The Sims 2: Apartment Life. They both added a nice level of depth to the game and TS3 hasn't even built on this one bit - TS3 took steps back if anything.
What about you? What is your most loved expansion of the entire series? Why do you love it so much? Do you perhaps have a top 3 list you can share? That's what blog comments are for.
