Week of December 15th, 2014

It's once again time for the news. Let's get into it!

The Sims news[]

Update

A couple of things to note here:

  • The release date has been all but confirmed for December 16th, which depending on your timezone is either in two days or tomorrow, as of the time I'm writing this. Confirmation is a result of Amazon UK posting a release date, as shown here
  • It's been confirmed that the moveObjects On cheat will be added in the update, as a result of a post on Twitter by The Sims devs. A bit more about it here, and the tweet itself here.
New trailer

A new trailer for The Sims 4 has been released. Check it out on YouTube here.

Seasonal theme implemented!

If you've been on the wiki in the last couple of days, you'd have noticed the seasonal theme which TSW is now using that I implemented a couple of days ago. A big thank-you to everyone who was involved in this and gave feedback as it was definitely a group effort. If you notice a glitch or wish to provide feedback in general leave a comment in this forum thread.

Discussions to comment on

Other than the discussion on the new theme there has been little discussion on the forums. Please give your input.

Same as always, the whole list of discussions is here. And, much like always, anyone is welcome to participate, whether it be participating in a discussion or raising a new topic.

Monthly Question

A new month means a new monthly question! This month's question is: What mod do you think you can't live without in the respective series? If you don't play with mods, why? Leave your thoughts here and join in the discussion.

Want to help?

Repeating what I said last week and probably for the last half dozen or so news posts, we're always looking for people to help out on TSW! If you're considering helping, go for it! This wiki is run by people much like yourself, and if they can help, you can too! We're always looking for people to write the newsleter, so sign up if you want to publish an issue or act as a backup writer. Also, user rights applications are open as always, which is something I'd encourage long-term contributors to look into.

Leave a message either in the comments or my talk page if you notice a mistake or wish to give feedback, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
