Wow, thank you so much WH! I can't believe I'm getting recognition from such an experienced editor like yourself!
I'll go and take a look at the request now. Thanks so much once again! ~ Waikikamukow (Anyone wanna chat?) 07:46, December 15, 2012 (UTC)
Paul Best
Edit
Hey! Please stop changing Paul Best into a human sim. He is a warlock when Supernatural is installed.
- No he's not, it is randomly determined with story progression. Just because he's a witch in your game doesn't mean he is in other people's games.

Gnomes...
Edit
Hello there! Long time no talk (I've been busy making fanfictions :p) So yeah... I browsed a page about magical gnomes and I want to confirm an antic of my sim's gnome pointing at ingots on a dining table (I'll try to upload a picture of it tomorrow) LolitaG (talk) 11:38, December 26, 2012 (UTC)
Images
Edit
Ok, let's get something straight here! You cannot just delete my pics, ok? Why would you even wanna do that! Come on, soo not cool! That was just rude! I uploaded those for a freaking reason! Sheesh! How would you like it If I did that to you! Please just leave me a message or something explaning why you did that! Ok, I need to know your reasoning for that! :(
Um, ok are you like an adminastrator or something? Is that why you deleted my pics? I mean, even if you are, I still don't understand why you deleted them. I'm just confused, like were they innapropriate or something because I was very careful of that! So, I don't see how they could be. Help me out here! Sometimes I can just be a stupid fourteen year old girl! I just tend to get really defensive! *sigh* I still need an explanation! Please!
- My apologies for a late response as I was busy elsewhere. Firstly, yes I am an admin here, and secondly I'd thank you not to get angry at me. As for why I deleted them, there is an image & file policy here, and you can't simply upload pics without licensing, and all images you upload need to be used somewhere, not just cluttered around like yours were. Sorry for any inconveniences, leave a reply if you have any other questions.

I am sooo deeply sorry for my retarded childish behavior yesterday! I was just extremely angry and as I said in my second message yesterday, sometimes I just tend to get really defensive! Alot! I've only been on The Sims Wiki for like a year. Oh, and is there any way I can delete my embarrasingly angry forum post? Cause there's no way I'm leaving it up!
- It's okay :) I'll delete the post for you.

Hello
Edit
Hi im jondo123. I had joined the sims wikia for 2 months and i still try to learn things from people and admins in the wikia. I want to ask: 1, How can i will be a good writer? 2, How do i can get sims portrait? 3, How can i list thing like trait, hidden trait, etc ? 4, How to fix grammar problem, stuctures,...? If you answer i will be appreciate. Thank you. Have a good day! :)
- Sorry for a late reply, I've been busy lately. In answer to your questions:
- There's no way to become a good writer other than by practising. If you're writing fanon, read other peoples work, and if you're making mainspace articles like one on a sim look over some similar articles to get a feel for how they are written.
- I don't know myself, however I do know it involves simPE. I believe Nikel has some experience in getting the images, you may want to ask him.
- For listing traits on sim articles there is parameters in the infobox, check out {{sim3}} documentation for more info about it.
- Improving your grammar is much like improving writing. Practice and over time you will get better. If you make a page and the grammar isn't so good, you're more than welcome to ask someone to fix it up for you - indeed, the collaborative nature of wikis means that such problems are fixed over time anyway.
- Hope I've managed to answer your questions, reply if you have any other concerns.

Cleanup
Edit
Hello, I don't like what you are doing to Fanon:The Story Of 3 Young Adults, Fanon:The Story Of 3 Young Adults Part 2 and you are putting a cleanup tag on one of the pages i don't edit anymore i'm on part 3 right now not part one or part 2 so please don't put tags on the pages i don't edit anymore. This is getting me a bit angry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by fanboy123 (talk • contribs) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~
- It doesn't matter if you're not editing it anymore, it still is going to be tagged. Please don't remove the tags again
ฬђ talk 02:50, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
- WH, why do the parts 1 and 2 getting the tags? It seems like it has enough content (I have skimmed). Is it because of the format involving the pictures?
- Edit: I have tried to look at it more in depth, and the chapters do seem a bit short (at least that was the case with part 1: Part 2 was a bit longer, and probably don't deserve the tags). As for you Fanboy123, I highly recommend that you do something about the pictures and the format (it's messy), and perhaps flesh out the chapters a bit more. As of the moment you have around 12,000 bytes in 3 pages, and I suggest you merge it into one page, although this is merely a suggestion, as some of the featured fanons are less than 10,000 bytes long, while many of mine are well over 50,000 bytes.

- (edit conflict) Mainly that and the fact that it looks sloppy with a lack of paragraphs and instead using a new line for every sentence. There is a few grammar mistakes but in general I don't care about that and overlook it. Mainly if you compare it to some other fanfiction articles i.e. yours and some of the featured ones you'll be able to spot them easily.
ฬђ talk 03:08, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
- (added after conflict) Yeah pretty much what you said, page merging sounds like a good plan (as a suggestion maybe 12-15 chapters a page?)

- (added after second edit conflict) though remember quantity =/= quality
ฬђ talk 03:08, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
- Frankly given the dialogue-centered format of the story, I'd say making paragraphs a bit difficult. However, I have noticed that the chapters are short, and there aren't descriptive statements that compels (which could be solved by say adding descriptive paragraphs). I have exhorted Fanboy about this, and informed her on how to fix the sloppy formatting. Let's just hope Fanboy don't take this the wrong way. MILK FOR THE UNYUUFEX, FLAT CHEST FOR THE CUTENESS THRONE, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL PROBES (user talk:Mathetesalexandrou) 03:22, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
- However, I do feel that the Bella And Mortimer story is not in a need of a tag. The chapters are stubby, but it has enough content and it only needs to have the bolds converted into quotations with a possibility of some chapter merges. MILK FOR THE UNYUUFEX, FLAT CHEST FOR THE CUTENESS THRONE, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL PROBES (user talk:Mathetesalexandrou) 03:33, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
- I believe I tagged that one because of the large amounts of bolded text. If that was fixed the tag may as well be removed.

Hey...It seems like you know a lot about the games and the wiki. Could you adopt my user?Hurshbr (talk) 19:24, January 24, 2013 (UTC)Hurshbr
- Thanks :) If that's what you want, its fine with me. I'm not that sure how the user adoption thing works though, so ask me anything you're having trouble with I guess, and I'll try my best to help you out. Just so you know, I'm in Australia and have school during the week so it might be a bit difficult to track me down sometimes cause of timezones and such. If this is a problem with you you might want to ask someone else.

Notice about the Warning template
Edit
Hello fellow administrator. I wanted to make you aware of an upcoming changeover regarding the {{Warning}} template. You can see the discussion of this change here.
Starting now, a new warning template will be available for use. This template is currently available at {{NewWarning}}. However, on April 2, the new warning template will be moved to {{Warning}} and the old warning template will be retired. Please use this transition period to test out the new template before the full changeover. In the period leading up to the changeover, please report any bugs or issues, and offer any suggestions, in the new template discussion
The new template does away with the <reason> parameter of the old template. You can now make your warning more specific by filling in the <type> parameter. Type will automatically load in text depending on the type and the level you select. Additionally, certain types have multiple 'levels', ranging from 1 to 3, with 1 being the least severe, and 3 being the most severe phrasing of the warning message itself. The types are:
- Vandalism (entered as 'vandal#') warns against making non-constructive edits. The 'vandal1' message is the template's default message if no type is entered.
- Blanking pages or sections (entered as 'blank#') warns against removing content from entire pages or sections of pages.
- Removing content (entered as 'remove#') warns against removing useful and accurate content from pages.
- Violating file policy (entered as 'file#') warns users that upload files or images in violation of the Image and File policy.
- Disruptive behavior (entered as 'disrupt') warns users that attack other users, engage in edit warring, etc.
- Sockpuppetry (entered as 'sock') warns users that are suspected of having control over multiple unauthorized accounts.
- Additionally, there is a custom option available if none of the pre-existing types suit your needs. If you choose to use a custom message, the <type> parameter should be set to 'custom' and the optional <custom> parameter will hold your message. If <type> says anything other than 'custom' and the <custom> parameter is filled in, the custom message will not display.
So, to sum it up, the parameters are:
- <type>: You should fill this parameter in, unless you're alright with displaying the default, non-specific warning text.
- <custom>: Fill this in only if you've filled in 'custom' under the <type> parameter; otherwise, leave this blank.
- <sig>: This parameter is mandatory - include your signature here.
- <other>: If you want to include additional information to the recipient, you can fill in this parameter. The text you enter will appear below your signature but above the 'boilerplate' message at the bottom of the notification.
One last thing... remember to substitute the template, just as you do when you use {{Warning}}. This is to ensure that any future changes to the template don't alter how it appears on user talk pages.
If you've got any questions about this new warning or its implementations, feel free to drop me a message. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 04:11, March 19, 2013 (UTC)

Deletion of things I really shouldn't have
Edit
Help! I deleted the thing that notified me about userboxes on my profile page and now it looks all weird! Hurshbr (talk) 01:06, March 21, 2013 (UTC)Hurshbr
P.S: Since I guess now I'm going to be asking for your help a lot, I would appreciate it if you would help me with some of the questions on my blog posts.
- You can just go into the page history and find the revision you want. Click on the date to view the revision, and then just press the edit profile button. When the edit screen comes up leave the page as is and it will revert it back to how it was at that time. I'm guessing you want to just remove the stuff I circled from your page? If so just go to edit profile and remove it. I qould do it myself but I prefer not to touch other people's userpages and I could have misinterpreted the question.
- As for blog posts, I'll have a look over them now. Just as a note I'd advise against using blog posts for questions and instead using our forum, in particular the help desk sub-forum as it makes it easier to find questions.
- So, yeah, that should do it. Leave a reply if you want me to go over anything again or you have some troubles.

Banned...
Edit
I don't really see the point of banning me from the chat for three days, when I apologized for "spamming" song lyrics (plus, I only did it I think twice...), and I also apologized for whining right before I left the last time I was one. I don't really think it makes sense to ban someone for three days because they were in a bad mood, had a bad day, and whine, because I think we all have days like that. Anyways though, I think I did take it too far with the whining and I'm sorry.
It's only a three day ban anyways, so sorry for bothering you about this, it was just a bit surprising to log in and see a ban message.
