Vidcund Curious resides in Strangetown with his two brothers Pascal Curious and Lazlo Curious, and has another sister, Jenny Smith, who is married to the alien Pollination Technician 9 Smith. Vidcund is very close to Lazlo and they are best friends, even as brothers. He works in the Science career track.

Vidcund is blond with large green tinted glasses, and he enjoys stargazing and basically anything that has to do with study. As a teenager, he lost a fight to General Buzz Grunt and was "going steady" with Circe Beaker, a childhood friend, who is now married to his bitter rival, Loki Beaker.

If he uses the telescope as soon as the lot is first loaded, he will be abducted.

Vidcund is also well known for shoving Sims who spy on him though their telescopes.

In Sims 2 PSP, Vidcund kidnapped Pascal's alien son, Tycho, for funding on a secret experiment.

Vidcund's secrets from The Sims 2 (PSP):

1. (Personal): He was once a stand-up comic... When he told jokes, everyone would stand up to leave.
2. (Intimate): Vidcund used to be a firefighter, but got fired for being too hot-headed...
3. (Dark): Vidcund sold Tycho to the Dudes in Black so they would fund his secret project.

The name "Vidcund" is made up. Vidkun is a Norwegian first name, which fell out of fashion as Vidkun Quisling became leader of the Nazi puppet government of Norway during World War II.
