Visa levels can do more than just increase the amount of time Sims can spend abroad. At the first level, Sims will have a benefit of buying goods from merchants that can be seen wandering around. As the Sim's Visa level increased, the quality of the goods increased as well. It does the same as the second level.
Finally, at the third level, Sims can buy a vacation home as their second home. This will replace their base camp. Sims can buy more than one vacation home at a time; however Sims can only live in one vacation home at a time. Vacation homes can be used to store relics that have been found during adventures.
