A visa indicates a Sim's progress at each exotic location in The Sims 3: World Adventures and provides benefits such as Adventure rewards and longer vacation time.

Involving a Sim in the culture of a location by talking to locals and completing adventures, gains Visa points which increase their Visa level. There are 4 levels.

With the "Prepared Traveler" lifetime reward, vacation times are increased for three days for each visa level.

Visa Levels Edit

Visa Level Number of Days
No Visa Points 3 (+ 3 = 6)[1]
Visa Level 1 5 (+ 3 = 8)[1]
Visa Level 2 8 (+ 3 = 11)[1]
Visa Level 3 10 (+ 3 = 13)[1]

Destinations have names for their visa levels :

Destination Visa Level Name
China Level 0 Stranger
China Level 1 Accepted
China Level 2 Honoured
China Level 3 Revered
Egypt Level 0 Outsider
Egypt Level 1 Sanctioned Traveller
Egypt Level 2 Endorsed Explorer
Egypt Level 3 Accredited Adventurer
France Level 0 Tourist
France Level 1 Vacationist
France Level 2 Seasoned Sightseer
France Level 3 Honourary Citizen[sic]

Visa levels can do more than just increase the amount of time Sims can spend abroad. At the first level, Sims will have a benefit of buying goods from merchants that can be seen wandering around. As the Sim's Visa level increased, the quality of the goods increased as well. It does the same as the second level.

Finally, at the third level, Sims can buy a vacation home as their second home. This will replace their base camp. Sims can buy more than one vacation home at a time; however Sims can only live in one vacation home at a time. Vacation homes can be used to store relics that have been found during adventures.
