William Norman was the grandfather of Albany Capp. He died long before the game's beginning, and presumably lived outside of Veronaville, as his grave doesn't exist in the town, and he is not resurrectable. Uncommon for a pre-made deceased Sim, he wears the Mayor's outfit.

William shares his name with William the Conqueror, the first King of England who belonged to the House of Normandy, while his wife Mathilde shares her name with the King's wife, Matilda of Flanders (French: Mathilde).
